Electrostatic precipitator is the equipment that separates dust particles from the gas in which they are suspended. Specially, for the construction of industrial electrostatic precipitator, the corporations would send the layout design to a customer to accept an order. Therefore, it is mae a detail drawing after accept ance. Since the layout design of electrostatic precipitator is very complex, it takes time and design errors are included. Thus, for competitiveness in these industries, the development of software for the layout design of electrostatic precipitator is important. In this study, the developed software deals with technical concept and layout design of industrial electrostatic precipitator. By using the software, design time was very short, design errors reduced largely, and the standardization of design could be carried out.

The purpose of this study is to develop a design system of an involute gear for power transmittion using personal computer system. Input data for gear design are pressure angle 20。, transmitted power, gear volume, gear ratio, addendum ratio of rack, dedendum ratio of rack, edge radius of rack, allowable contact stress, and allowable bending stress etc. Contact strength, bending strength, and scoring are considered as the design constraints. The BZS(belt zone search) has been used to find out an optimum design of a gear system. The developed gear design system can design the optimized gear that minimize the number of pinion teeth with face tooth.

The determination of surface middleography is believed to be extremely important in the areas of contact mechanics, adhesion and friction. In order to describe middleography of various rubbed and hardened surface, the wear test was carried out under different experimental conditions in dry friction. And fractal descriptors was applied to rubbed and hardened surface of laser modified steel with image processing system. These descriptors to analyze surface structure are fractal dimension. Surface fractal dimension can be determined by sum of intensity difference of surface pixel. middleography of rubbed and hardened surface can be effectively obtained by fractal dimensions.

We have developed the exclusive CAD/CAM system for the machining of impeller blades. This study is about the modeling method for the effective machining of impeller blades formed by ruled surface. As the impeller is consisted of boss part and blade part, the boss is modeled by rotational surface of hub curve on z-axis and the blade is described by ruled-surfaces between hub curve and shroud curve. This modeling process can be carried out on the software developed in this study. And, the developed software can describe the impeller as a solid model through interface with Solid-Works software. The developed software containing the interface method proposed in this study was very effective for impeller modeling.

This study is continuous with the study 1 (A Study on the Modeling) and the sample impeller of this study is defined by the modeling process of the exclusive CAD/CAM system developed in the study I. And, this study describes a method for the 5-axis machining of impeller blades formed by ruled surface. Therefore, the exclusive CAD/CAM system is the software for modeling and machining of impeller blades. By using the machining method suggested in this study, we could manufacture impeller blades on 5-axis CNC machining center and the machined impeller was very agreeable to the designed impeller. Thus, theories proposed in this study can be very useful for the 5-axis machining of impeller blades.

In this paper, we have discussed on the characteristics and modeling of machined geometry which was established for the case of round shape machining, also the effects of externally machined profile are analyzed and its modeling realia-biliy was verified by the experiments of roundness testing, especially in lathe operation. In this study, we established a harmonic geometric model with the parameter harmonic function. In general, we can calculate the theoretical roundness profile with an arbitrary multilobe parameter. But in real experiments, only 2-5 lobe profile was frequently measured. the most frequently measured ones are 3 and 5 lobe profile in experiments. With these results, we can predict that these results may be applied to round shape machining such as turning, drilling, boring, ball screw and cylindrical grinding operation in bearing and shaft making operation with the same method. In this study, simulation and experimental work were performed to show the profile behaviors. we can apply these new modeling methods in real process for the predic-tion of part profile behaviors machined such as in round shape machining operation.

Purpose : The Mirizzi syndrome is relatively rare and preoperative diagnosis of this disease is difficult. In 1978, Morelli suggested the subclassification of the Mirizzi syndrome into acute or chronic form. We experienced 5 cases of acute form. We analysed clinical features, preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings of 18 cases including acute forms which were diagnosed as Mirizzi syndrome and should suggest the modified classification of Mirizzi syndrome for choice of appropriate treatment. Method : From January 1995 to December 1998, 18 cases, of which 8 cases were diagnosed at Soonchunhyang University Chunan Hospital, and 10 cases were reported in the Korean Journal were retrospectively analysed with regard to clinical features, preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings. According to the clinical features, whole cases were divided into type Ⅰ(acute form) and type Ⅱ(chronic form) and then each type of cases were subclassified according to preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings. Results : Of 18 cases there were 5 cases in type Ⅰ(27.8%), 13 cases in type Ⅱ(72.2%). Type Ⅱb was most common. Type Ⅰa cases were treated only with cholecystectomy. We applied cholecystectomy, T-tube choledochostomy and patch technique in type Ⅰb and thpe Ⅰc cases. Cholectystectomies including removal of gallstones and internal drainage procedures were done in type Ⅱ chronic forms. Conclusion : The acute form(Type Ⅰ) of Mirizzi syndrome was suggested by Morelli might be subclassified into typeⅠa,Ⅰb and Ⅰc following the presence of the necrotic defect in common hepatic duct. Through the modified classification of Mirizzi syndrome based on clinical feature, preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings, we can choice appropriate treatment.
화산회토양 초지에서 퇴비시용이 목초생산 및 인산이용에 관한 연구

The growth response of pasture species on phosphorus utilization of two compost application methods was compared on black and very dark brown volcanic ash soils. With the expection of orchardgrass in very dark brown soils. the establishment of pasture species was reduced if seed was mixed P-fertilizer and compost when compared with no compost or compost treatment not mixed with seed and P-fertilizer. Compost treatment caused increasing dry matter yields of pasture in the two soil types tested. However, ladino clover, grown in black soil, did not benefit from compost treat-ment There was a higher P content of pasture in very dark brown soil than in black soil. but compost treatment did not have any effect on the P content of pasture species. The Ca and Mg content of pasture species also did not affected by compost application. When compared with orchardgrass to the contents. there were higher in ladino clover. As the cutting time advanced, these of ladino clover increased. but orchardgrass decreased.

This paper describes the method and the process for impeller machining on 5-axis CNC machining center. Also, The CAD/CAM software for the impeller post processing is developed. The software can be interfaced with Solid-works software for confirmation of the impeller shapes. In this study, blades on impeller is described from Ruled-surfaces between two Ferguson curves. In this study, using 5-axis NC part program obtained from the developed software, a sample impeller was machined on 5-axis CNC machining center. The machined impeller was very agreeable to the designed impeller. Thus, theories proposed in this study can be very useful for the 5-axis machining of impeller blades with Ruled-surfaces.
