The study evaluates the enzymatic dry matter (DM) degradability and water holding capacity of leaf and stem fractions of orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) at different growth stages with or without the presence of surfactant Tween 80. While Tween 80 significantly (p<0.05) increased water and enzyme holding capacities in the leaf blades fraction, less was observed in the fraction of leaf sheath and stem of orchardgrass. The enzyme holding capacity in the leaves was also altered more than that for water holding capacity. This resulted in the increased rate and extent of enzymatic hydrolysis of the leaf blade fractions at two growth stages, whereas little was with leaf sheath and stem fractions. It was also observed that at 0.005% concentrations of Tween 80 the enzymatic DM degradability of young leaf blades was higher (p<0.05) by 20-30% compared to that of the control, as well as for water and enzyme holding capacity. For matured leaf blades the DM degradability were increased with over 0.01% concentrations of the surfactant, but the increase was less than leaf blades of young orchardgrass. This result suggests the possibility of using the surfactant Tween 80 to improve forage digestibility in the rumen.
$C_{x}F_{y}$ Polymer Film Deposition in rf and dc $C_{7}F_{16}$ Vapor Plasmas

$C_{x}F_{y}$ polymer film was deposited in rf and dc Fluorinert vapor ($C_{7}F_{16}$) plasmas. In the plasma phase, the spatial distribution of optical emission spectra and the temporal concentration of decomposed species were monitored, and kinetics of the $C_{7}F_{16}$ decomposition process was discussed. Deposition of $C_{x}F_{y}$ film has been tried on substrates of stainless steel, glass, molybdenum and silicon wafers at room temperature in the vapor pressures of 40 and 100 Pa. The films deposited in the rf plasma showed excellent electrical properties as an insulator for multi-layered interconnection of deep-submicron LSI, i.e. the low dielectric constant ∼2.0, the dielectric strength ∼2 MV/cm and the high deposition rate ∼100nm/min at 100W input power.
Structure Study of BrHPLN by X-ray and Neutron diffraction

An antiferroelectric material with an isolated hydrogen bond, 5-bromo-9-hydroxyphenalenon, was structurally investigated by means of X-ray and neutron-diffraction methods at room temperature. It was found that the electron of the hydrogen atom in the hydrogen-bond region is in a disordered state, having three sites around the center of the hydrogen bond. We also found an obvious discrepancy between the electron density distribution and the nuclear density distribution. That is, the center of the electron cloud of the hydrogen atom is o set from the nuclear position. This result, together with the disordered feature, leads to a local disordered electronic dipole moment in the hydrogen-bond region, which is consistent with the result for 5-methyl-9-hydroxyphenalenon in its room-temperature phase.

This paper presents performance and loss analysis of Auxiliary Resonant Commutation Snubber-linked (ARCS) three phase voltage source soft switching inverter which is operated under a condition of Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS). The system performances of this ARCS soft switching inverter which is controlled on optimal type I digital servo scheme are illustrated and evaluated on the basis of experimental results.<br/>
X-ray and Neutron Structure Analysis of MeHPLN in the Low Temperature Phase

Structure analyses of 5-Methyl-9-hydroxyphenalenon(C14H10O2, MeHPLN) in the low temperature phase were performed by X-ray and neutron scattering experiments. It is found that the space group is P21/c with a super cell (a 2b c) and there are two types of molecules in the unit cell. In one of the independent molecules, hydrogen atoms in hydrogen-bond region occupy two sites as same as in the room temperature phase. On the other hand, in another independent molecules, hydrogen atoms in hydrogen-bond region clearly show ordering feature. In these ordered hydrogen atoms, there are obvious discrepancy beween electron and nuclear distribution, and hence static electrical dipolemoments exist in hydorgen-bond region with an antiferroelectric ordering.
