With the increase of sophistication in our daily lives, there is an increased interest in enjoying the arts culture. Due to this phenomenon, the amount of top-tier museums has multiplied, visitors are more aware and have knowledge of the displayed pieces, and the role and training of curators and docents became of great importance. However, there are not enough docents and curators to satisfy the higher demands caused by the sudden increase of museums. In order to address this issue, a docent robot has been designed. This paper will address how the robot will move autonomously throughout the museum and curate museum displays as well as how the robot will interpret and comprehend the visitors’ body language. Supported by the research provided in this paper, docent robots, if placed in museums, will be beneficial for the smooth running of museums.
Antioxidant and Anti-aging Potential of a Peptide Formulation (Gal2-Pep) Conjugated with Gallic Acid

Skin is highly vulnerable to premature aging due to external stress, therefore, in this study, a peptide formulation, (galloyl)2-KTPPTTP (Gal2-Pep) was synthesized by combining TPPTTP peptide, and gallic acid (GA). All peptides were synthesized on 2-chlorotrityl chloride resin using solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), and analyzed on an electrospray ionization (ESI)/quadrupole-time-of-flight (Q-TOF) tandem mass spectroscopy (MS) system. Initially, Gal2-Pep showed no toxicity below the concentration 100 μM with cell survival rate of 88% for keratinocytes and fibroblasts. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging activity of Gal2-Pep was more stable compared to GA alone; and after four weeks at room temperature, its ROS scavenging activity remained higher than 50%. Moreover, the peptide formulation, Gal2-Pep also exhibited elastase inhibitory effect in CCD-1064Sk fibroblast cells. Based on the results of RT-qPCR, it was proved in this study that Gal2-Pep increased the expression of PGC-1α to prevent oxidative stress, and validated its potential as an anti-aging agent through increasing the expression of type I collagen and by decreasing the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP1). The findings obtained reinforce the suggestion that the peptide formulation synthesized in this study could be used as a natural antioxidant and anti-aging agent for its cosmetic applications.

It is extremely advisable but challenging to develop cathodic catalyst for efficiently catalyzing the oxygenreduction reaction (ORR) in energy storage and conversion system. Nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) co-doped porous carbon (C) materials have been prepared as a non-precious metal catalyst. This synthesis wasachieved through pyrolysis of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, triphenylphosphine, melamine andCoCl2 6H2 O mixture. The resulting material was capable of efficiently charge transfer via the coordinationbond of cobalt (Co) and EDTA, that makes octahedral structure. In addition, redistribution of charge occurreddue to co-doping of the N and P, which is advantageous for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The as-prepared N and P co-doped mesoporous carbon (NPMPC) was characterized by a high average porosityand ahigh specific surface area. Furthermore, the NPMPC had a positive effect on ORR by allowing triple phases(gas-liquid-solid) to coexist in a wide range. We have successfully fabricated electrochemical catalysts thathave not been reported previously. The electrocatalytic activity of NPMPC-0.6 (E onset:-0.08 V & Ehalf-wave:-0.136 V)for ORR in alkalinemediawasbetterthanPt/C(Eonset:-0.037 V &Ehalf-wave:-0.122 V).Overall,NPMPC-0.6 showed high efficiency and improved performance for oxygen reduction reaction.
Optimization of Hypoxia Degradation Albumin Based Nanoparticle

In tumor tissue, hypoxia appears due to abnormal growth and metabolism of cancer cells and disorganized vasculature. In hypoxic tumor, it is difficult for chemo drug to penetrate the tumor and reduces the effectiveness of therapeutic effect. We synthesized bovine serum albumin (BSA)-based nanoparticles (BSA NP) that can be degraded using by azobenzene, which reacts sensitive in the hypoxic environment of tumors. The optimal form of BSA NPs was synthesized by adding the amount of azobenzene, a crosslinker. BSA NPs have a size of around 100 ㎚ in a normoxia condition, and are decomposed and reduced in size in a hypoxic condition due to the cleavage of azobenzene. BSA NPs are especially decomposed in a hypoxic environment and can serve as an effective drug carrier in tumor tissue.

본 연구의 목적은 인터넷 기반의 국제사회가 갖는 경제적인 가치는 어떻게 변화하고 있으며 국가 간 연결성이 국가의 미래 발전에 어떠한 영향이 미치는지 밝히는 것이다. 이 연구를 위해 국가간 무역 통계자료를 활용하여 국가의 발전에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 귀납적으로 분석해 보겠다. 연구대상은 전세계 200여개 국가 중 OECD에서 통계를 제공하는 61개 국가를 대상으로 2000년과 2010년의 통계를 비교분석하였다. 연구방법은 사례분석을 기준으로 한 귀납적인 분석을 수행하였다. 세계와 한국의 무역네트워크를 무역금액과 무역회수로 분석해본 결과 국가간 무역금액은 과거의 경제적 의존도를 무역회수는 국제경제에서의 미래발전가능성을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다.
