A treat-to-target strategy, in which treatment is continuously adjusted according to the results of scheduled objective monitoring, is optimal for patients with Crohn’s disease (CD) in the era of biologics. The small bowel is a common site of intractable CD, which may result from multiple strictures or expanding lesions. To improve the prognosis of patients with small bowel CD, lesions should be proactively monitored within the subclinical phase. Objective assessment of small bowel lesions is technically difficult, however, due to the relatively poor correlation between endoscopic activity and clinical symptoms or biomarker titers. The presence of proximal small bowel lesions and asymptomatic “Real Silent CD” must be considered. Endoscopy remains the gold standard to assess these lesions. In clinical practice, the advantages and disadvantages of each imaging modality and biomarker must be carefully weighed for appropriate application and reliable monitoring. The prevalence of small bowel lesions depends on the precision of the imaging modality used for detection. Clinical management should be based on the dominant location of the intestinal lesions rather than classical classification. Optimal strategies for detecting and treating small bowel lesions in patients with CD must be developed utilizing reliable, precise, and objective monitoring. (Intest Res 2020;18:347-354)

Creating their brand images based on rich consumer experiences is becoming significant for retailers to differentiate themselves from competitors (Ailawadi and Keller 2004). Among multiple retailer attributes that have been argued by existing studies that influence overall image of the retailer, several researchers pointed out that personal encounters, such as those between employees and customers, may be more influential in communicating brand meaning than marketing-driven, mass-targeted messages (Cialdini 1993, Keller 2003, Sirianni et al. 2013) and referred to service employees as the “living brand” (Bendapudi and Bendapudi 2005).

In multi-carrier transmission systems, although the in-band IM products have been significantly investigated and evaluated, the accurate evaluation of the IM products outside the pass-band necessitates the equivalent conditions to the actual operations because the IM products deeply depend on the operating conditions of the concerned radio equipment. On the other hand, in case of communication satellites, it is difficult and is not a practical way to prepare the operating conditions that simulate the actual operations at the testing time flame of equipment. In this paper, a correlation between the IM products outside the pass-band, which have been discussed, and the operating conditions of the concerned radio equipment is clearly shown by the quantitative evaluations based on experiments. This paper also discusses a suitable thinking way of parameters (mean power, the necessary bandwidth) in the multi-career transmission systems, and the evaluations of the IM products that behave as the spurs outside the pass-band by using the generally used parameters for the radio equipments, NPR

Objective: Models for genomic selection assume that the reference population is an unselected population. However, in practice, genotyped individuals, such as progeny-tested bulls, are highly selected, and the reference population is created after preselection. In dairy cattle, the intensity of selection is higher in males than in females, suggesting that cows can be added to the reference population with less bias and loss of accuracy. The objective is to develop formulas applied to any genomic prediction studies or practice with preselected animals as reference population. Methods: We developed formulas for calculating the reliability and bias of genomically enhanced breeding values (GEBV) in the reference population where individuals are preselected on estimated breeding values. Based on the formulas presented, deterministic simulation was conducted by varying heritability, preselection percentage, and the reference population size. Results: The number of bulls equal to a cow regarding the reliability of GEBV was expressed through a simple formula for the reference population consisting of preselected animals. The bull population was vastly superior to the cow population regarding the reliability of GEBV for low-heritability traits. However, the superiority of reliability from the bull reference population over the cow population decreased as heritability increased. Bias was greater for bulls than cows. Bias and reduction in reliability of GEBV due to preselection was alleviated by expanding reference population. Conclusion: Cows are easier in expanding reference population size compared with bulls and alleviate bias and reduction in reliability of GEBV of bulls which are highly preselected than cows by expanding the cow reference population.
Lightweight Selective Disclosure for Verifiable Documents on Blockchain

To achieve lightweight selective disclosure for protecting privacy of document holders, we propose an XML format for documents that can hide arbitrary elements using a cryptographic hash function and salts, which allows to be partially digitally signed and efficiently verified, as well as a JSON format that can be converted to such XML. The documents can be efficiently proven to exist by representing multiple such structures as a Merkle tree and storing its root in blockchain. We show that our proposal has advantages over known methods that represent the document itself as a Merkle tree and partially hide it.

<P>Single phase of orthorhombic Li2SiO3 was synthesized via a novel soft-chemical synthesis method, water assisted solid state reaction method at 343-353K for 60 min. The crystal structure of the samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation revealed that the estimated size of the particles is 50-200 nm.
