        The agricultural sector in Korea is expected to go through heavy economic impact over next decade, mainly due to the continuous outmigration of rural labor to the urban industrial sector, consequent increase of rural wages, and strong import pressures for foreign agricultural products. These circumstances force agricultural sector to undertake structural adjustments significantly for survival. Expanded mechanization of farm works is one of the measures to support structural improvement to meet the challenging circumstances. Good estimation of optimal quantities demanded for farm machineries would be quite useful for the reasonable programme and policy development of mechanization. This study aims to estimate the optimal quantities of farm machineries demanded annually over next decade and thus to provide basic reference data required for policy formulation in expanded farm mechanization. To accomplish the objective linear programming models were built under three scenarios, based upon production planning, farm machinery prices, non-farm employment opportunities, cultivable land areas with the use of farm machineries, and annual coverage of farm machineries. Then the models generated the optimal number of farm machineries to be held by farmers, with which the planned production of farm products could be achieved at the least cost. Finally, the optimal numbers of farm machineries demanded annually were estimated with the use of the programming results.

        EC 농업의 현황과 공동농업정책(CAP)의 흐름

        이 논문은 EC농업의 특성, 농업구조, 농산물 수급, 농산물 교역 등에 관한 현상 파악을 통해 EC 농업의 개요를 선명한 후, 오늘날의 이러한 EC농업에 지대한 영향력을 행사해 온 공동농업정책의 흐름을 파악해 보고자 하였다. 우선 공동농업정책의 추진배경과 주요 내용을 개괄적으로 소개한 다음에 공동농업정책의 가시적인 성과와 새롭게 대두되는 문제점을 정리하였고, 이러한 문제점을 해결 내지는 완화하기 위해 시도되고 있는 앞으로의 개혁움직임을 전망해 보았다. 아울러 이러한 EC농업의 진입이 새로운 농업시장을 모색하고 있는 우리나라 농정에 던져주는 의미는 무엇인가를 파악해 보려고 하였다. 1 This paper introduces the current situation of EC agriculture by summarizing agricultural characteristics such as agricultural structure, demand for and supply of agricultural products, and agricultural trade. A related objective of the paper includes reviewing the history of the Common Agricultural Policy(CAP) which has been influencing the EC agriculture substantially. It is widely accepted that the CAP, based on the price support policy, has been very successful in achieving a system of stable supply of basic food$ and in establishing a sound agricultural infrastructure. Nevertheless. there are remaining problems such as a more equitable development of agriculture in terms of countries, regions, and farms. A transformation of the direction of the CAP is discussed since there is a tight budget by the accumulation of surplus storage of agricultural products and an international pressure on its highly protective agricultural policy. This paper is organized as fellows: First. the formation procedure and contents of the CAP are introduced; second. the performance and emerging problems of the CAP are summarized: third, the movements toward reforming the CAP are reviewed. In addition, some implications are drawn from the experience of EC agriculture on the Korean agricultural policy which is being reshaped.

      • Modal SI 기법 적용을 위한 최적 측정위치 선택

        In applying a modal system identification with a limited number of measuring degrees of freedom, the selection of optimal sensor locations (OSL) is critical for a good identification. The current research proposes a new OSL method applicable to a modal system identification (SI) and compares it with a widely used OSL method. The proposed method utilizes the sensitivity of eigenvectors with respect to the structural parameters. A simulation study for a tower structure has been carried out to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method. Through the simulation study, the influence of OSL on the structural parameters estimated by a S1 method are investigated.

      • CIE1931 좌표 상에서 적응적인 변환곡선을 따라서 색 좌표의 이동을 이용한 개선된 색 강조 알고리즘

        본 논문에서는 CIE1931 색도 좌표 상에서 적응 가능한 변환곡선을 따라 색 좌표의 이동을 이용한 색 강조 알고리즘을 제안 하였다. 제안된 색 좌표이동에 의한 강조 방법은 기존의 색온도를 이용하는 방법, 색차신호를 이용하는 방법보다 간단한 구조를 가지지만 얻게 되는 결과는 동일하다. 제안된 알고리즘은 사람의 피부색과 같은 사용자가 민감하게 반응하는 색상이 변형되는 것을 막아주며, 이를 위해서 색상좌표를 변환 영역과 비 변환 영역으로 나눈다. 변환영역의 색상은 색상의 좌표와 원점과의 기리의 비에 따라 RGB gamut의 외각선 으로 이동하여 색을 강조하게 된다. 본 알고리즘은 Matlab을 이용하여 검증하였다.

      • 山間村의 所得增大를 위한 適地産業 開發方案

        This study attempts to analysis the present situation of farm management and the related industriesin order to present the suitable industries for promoting the farmers' income in mountain area. This study is based on the survey data obtained from 30 sample mountain vellages in 10 Guns located in central, wetern and northen Kyeougnam Province, where lots of mountain vellages are scattered here and there. Major findings obtained from the analysis are summarized as follows: 1) Area of cultivated land in mountian villages was generally smaller than that in plain vellages. BUt major finding of thes tudy indicated that the standard of living in the study area depended upon not only the size of cultivated land but also the skills of management to understand exavtly the regional and togographical situaltion, to utilize the developmental resources effectively, and to diversify income sources. This means that upbringing of competent Saemaul leaders is very important for promoting the income of mountain villages. 2) Various crops were being planted in a samll scale inmountain area. And those crops except rice adn barley were planted for self-sufficiency. Therefore, it is desired to select and cultivate intensively the kinds of crops which are regionally adn topographically suitable for maximizing farm inceomes of subsistant farmers. 3) The survey found out that in mountain area the farming of extensive fruits like chestnuts, persimmons, etc. is more favorable than that of intensive fruits like apples, pears, etc. 4) Because of topographical inappropriateness and lack of fertile cultivates land in mountain area, mowt vegetables, except onions in a few regions, were growing in a small scales for self-sufficiency. And the future of the vegetable cultivationin mountain area is also gloomy. 5) Since various grasses are abundantly growing in the wild in mountain area, the mountain villages are suitable for raising the herbivorous animals. Therefore it is recommeded to encourage raising the herbivorous animals, especially cattle, as one of the major income sources in mountain area. 6) It is true that sericulture has greartly contributed to the economic growth in mountain area with aboundant land suitable for mulberry trees. Recenly sericulture has, however, been shrinking due to the barriers of silk exportation. Without the barriers of silk exportation, sericulture will still play an important role on providing one of the major sources tom mountain villages. 7) The miscellaneous trees in most forest around the mountain villages were growing planlessly. Those parts of the forest are needed to be renewed by planting the useful, endurable, and regionally and topographically suitable kinds of trees.

        본 논문에서는 CIE1931 색도 좌표 상에서 가중치를 적용한 적응적인 변환 선을 따라 색상의 질을 향상시키기 위한 색 변환 알고리즘을 제안 하였다. 제안된 색 좌표이동에 의한 강조 방법은 기존의 색 온도를 이용하는 방법, 색차신호를 이용하는 방법보다 간단한 구조를 가지지만 얻게 되는 결과는 동일하다. 제안된 알고리즘은 사람의 피부색과 같은 사용자가 민감하게 반응하는 색상이 변형되는 것을 막아주며, 이를 위해서 색상좌표를 변환 영역과 비 변환 영역으로 나눈다. 변환영역의 색상은 색상의 좌표와 원점과의 기리의 비에 따라 비선형적으로 가중치를 부여하여 RGB gamut의 외각 선으로 이동하게 된다. 비선형적인 가중치를 변환 곡선에 적용함으로서 색상좌표가 RGB gamut을 벗어나는 현상과 색상이 왜곡되는 현상을 막아준다. 결과적으로, 제안된 색상변환 알고리즘은 색상의 왜곡 없이 원래의 색상의 질을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 본 알고리즘은 Matlab을 이용하여 검증하였다.

        An image retrieval system based on image content is a key issue for building and managing large multimedia detabase, such as trademarks, copyrights, art galleries, museums, picture archiving and communication system. This paper proposes a feature-based image database system where a compound feature vector representing both the color and shape of an image is used. Color information for the feature vector is obtained using the algebraic moment of each pixel of an image based on the property of regional color distribution. Shape information for the feature vector is obtained using the Improved Moment Invariant(IMI) which reduces the quantity of computation and increases retrieval efficiency. In an experiment, we have compared our methods with previous methods using a database consisting of 150 automobile images, and the results of the experiment have shown that our method has a better performance on retrieval effectiveness.

        아세클로페낙 연질캡슬(클란자 에스 연질캡슬)의 개발

        To develop and aceclofenac soft capsule, four preparations with various solubilizers were prepared and their dissolution test was carried out. Among four preparations tested, a preparation with ethanolamine was selected a formula of aceclofenac soft capsule (Clanza S^(™), since it showed the fastest dissolution rate. Bioequivalence of aceclofenac tablet, Airtal^(™)(Dae-Woong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and aceclofenac soft capsule, Clanza S^(™)(Korea United Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) was evaluated according to the guideline of KFDA. Fourteen normal male volunteers (age 20-25 years old) were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After oral administration of one tablet or capsule containing 100 ㎎ of aceclofenac, blood ws taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentration of aceclofenac in plasma wa determined with an HPLC method under UV detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters (C_(max), T_(max) and AUC_(t)) were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) between Airtal tablet and Clanza soft capsule were 2.89%, 0.18% and 43.0%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.250(e.g.log(0.81) - log(1.23) and log(0.89) - log(1.14)) for AUC_(t) and C_(max), respectively. Thus, the criteria of the KDFA guidelines for the equivalence was satisfied, indicating that Clanza S^(™) soft capsule is bioequivalent to Airtal^(™) tablet.

        Many studies revealed the neuroprotective, cardioprotective, and chemopreventive actions of dietary flavonoids. The plausible mechanistic interpretation of the various effects of flavonoids was concentrated on the anti-oxidant or free radical-scavenging properties of these phytochernicals, both in model systems and under in vivo conditions. While there has been a major focus on the anti-oxidant properties. there is an emerging view that flavonoids and their in vivo metabolites. do not act as conventional hydrogen-donating anti-oxidants. but they may exert regulatory functions in cells through actions at protein kinase or lipid kinase signaling pathways. Flavonoids and more recently their metabolites. have been reported to act at phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI 3-kinase). Akt/protein kinase B(Akt/PKB), protein kinase C (PKC), mitogen activated protein kinase(MAP kinase), and various tyrosine kinases signaling cascades. Inhibitory or stimulatory actions at these pathways are likely to affect cellular function profoundly by altering the phosphorylation state of target molecules and by modulating gene expression. A clear understanding of the mechanisms of action of flavonoids, either as anti-oxidants or modulators of cellular signaling pathways, and the influence of their metabolism on these properties are key to the evaluation of these potent biomolecules as anti-cancer agents, cardio-protectants, and inhibitors of neurodegeneration.
