This paper aims to look into internal/external representation of conflicts in Yeats’s political poems. To trace the nature of such conflicts, I look briefly at the rise of cultural nationalism to trace the nature of such conflicts. This cultural revival foregrounds the issue of conflicts between Yeats and audience, which creates tension that culminates in the Easter Rising, and result in the birth of terrible beauty. In this context, I would argue that what constitutes the “political” in Yeats's poems are Yeats's conflicts with himself. In this backdrop, I look at the conflicts in the poems “Easter, 1916”, “Sixteen Dead Men”, “The Rose Tree” and “On a Political Prisoner” through the central oxymoron “terrible beauty. In “Easter, 1916”, I would talk about how the sacrifice of the nationalists gives birth to terrible beauty, which is a fusion of representations of Ireland as beautiful young maiden and old ugly woman. In “On a Political Prisoner” as I would discuss how terrible beauty is embodied in a woman by juxtaposing an image of beautiful and young Constance Markiewicz in the distant past and in more recent past and present, when she turned ugly by her involvement in political activities and imprisoned as a result. I conclude by pointing to the ambivalence of conflicts as something which poses a threat and yet inspires Yeats's poetry.

A structural timber receives a lot of attention because the demand for green timber houses are growing in Korea. However, the structural timber completely depends on foreign trades and it would be a big disadvantage although it is an outstanding material for construction in that it has good ductility and excellent fire resistance. This study propose Near surface mounted Re-bar into the glued laminated timber for reducing consumption of timbers. Even though the laminated timber is able to conserve wood resources as remnants will be recycled using lamination process after woodworking, there is a difficulty to investigate mechanical properties. This study indicates about bond properties between re-bar and the laminated timber in order to verify basic performance for uniform stiffness by embedding re-bar into renewable collection trees. In addition, 12 models were manufactured to figure out bond strengths between re-bar and the laminated timber affected by failure mode, shape of gutters, bond lengths and diameter of re-bar and then, compared with existing proposed equations. As a result of the study, the bond strength of the serrated model increased by 59 ∼ 62 %. From this result, The process that is embedded with serrated shape in re-bar improve the ability of bond strength between laminated timber and adhesive Also, re-bar strain was getting higher when bond strength became higher so the adhesive used near surface mounted might have a strong influence on the experiment.
FGF21 induced by carbon monoxide mediates metabolic homeostasis via the PERK/ATF4 pathway

The prevalence of metabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease, has rapidly increased, yet the molecular mechanisms underlying the metabolic syndrome, a primary risk factor, remain incompletely understood. The small, gaseous molecule carbon monoxide (CO) has well-known anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, and antiapoptotic effects in a variety of cellular- and tissue-injury models, whereas its potential effects on the complex pathways of metabolic disease remain unknown. We demonstrate here that CO can alleviate metabolic dysfunction in vivo and in vitro. We show that CO increased the expression and section of the fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) in hepatocytes and liver. CO-stimulated PERK activation and enhanced the levels of FGF21 via the eIF2α–ATF4 signaling pathway. The induction of FGF21 by CO attenuated endoreticulum stress- or diet-induced, obesity-dependent hepatic steatosis. Moreover, CO inhalation lowered blood glucose levels, enhanced insulin sensitivity, and promoted energy expenditure by stimulating the emergence of beige adipose cells from white adipose cells. In conclusion, we suggest that CO acts as a potent inducer of FGF21 expression and that CO critically depends on FGF21 to regulate metabolic homeostasis.—Joe, Y., Kim, S., Kim, H. Clinical anatomy of the maxillary sinus: application to sinus floor augmentation
Joe Iwanaga,Joe Iwanaga,Charlotte Wilson,Stefan Lachkar,Krzysztof A. Tomaszewski,Jerzy A. Walocha,R. Shane Tubbs 대한해부학회 2019 Anatomy & Cell Biology Vol.52 No.1
The anatomy of the maxillary sinus, especially its vascular anatomy, and its relationships with the teeth and alveolar processes have been well documented. The development of cone-beam computed tomography has resulted in dentists being more familiar with maxillary sinus floor augmentation procedures. This paper aims to revisit the classic anatomy of the maxillary sinus and review the newly published literature in order to help dentists diagnose in more detail and perform safer surgery of the maxillary sinus.
Stafne bone cavity: a rare cadaveric case report

The Stafne bone cavity (SBC), also called the static bone cavity, salivary inclusion cyst, latent cyst, and lingual bone defect is an asymptomatic bony defect that is commonly located inferior to the mandibular canal and slightly above the inferior border of the mandible. It is rare to see the actual bony defect in the cadaver because of its relatively low incidence of 0.1% to 6.06%. We report a unilateral SBC found in a 76-year-old at death male Caucasian cadaver and involving the right mandible. The SBC was oval in shape with a smooth surface and measured 10.8×6.0 mm. The SBC was continuous with the right mylohyoid groove. Since actual photographs of the SBC are lacking in the literature, this report might provide additional insight for better understanding the SBC.
