      • Active current-limiting control to handle DC line fault of overhead DC grid

        To handle with the DC line faults in a DC grid, this paper proposed an active current-limiting controller for hybrid MMC. With this active current-limiting control strategy, the requirement of interruption current of DCCB will be significantly decreased, and the investment of DC grid will be reduced obviously. Firstly, the control architecture of active current-limiting controller is disclosed. To avoid the overvoltage of submodule capacitors during DC fault, a dynamic limiter for the reference value of the DC current controller is proposed. To decrease the peak of fault current, the feedforward controller of DC voltage is put forward. The decoupling controllability of the AC/DC voltage of hybrid MMC is disclosed. The currentlimiting mechanism of the active current-limiting controller is analysis. Then, the validity of the active current-limiting control strategy is verified by RTDS.

        Trimethyl-Ammonium Alkaline Anion Exchange Membranes with the Vinylbenzyl Chloride/Acrylonitrile Main Chain

        The main chain of polyolefin was synthesized by copolymerization of 4 - vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC) and acrylonitrile (AN), and trimethylamine is used for quaternization to prepare heterogeneous benzyl trimethyl-ammonium anion exchange membranes (Heter-X) and homogeneous benzyl trimethyl-ammonium anion exchange membrane (Homo-X). The results of Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) showed that VBC and AN were successfully copolymerized to form a polymer with a certain molecular weight, and trimethylamine was successfully quaternized. The prepared membranes exhibited good thermal stability and mechanical properties. The theoretical ion exchange capacity (IEC) values of Homo-3 and Heter-3 are the same, but the conductivity at 80 °C were 0.0572 S cm-1 and 0.0505 S cm-1. The results showed that the homogeneous method has a higher degree of quaternization and a more uniform distribution of quaternary ammonium groups, forming a more obvious microphase separation structure, which can also be seen in the atomic force microscopy (AFM) diagram. After being soaked in 1M KOH solution for 480 h, the ionic conductivity of Homo-6 and Heter-6 can still remain 91.4% and 85.5%, and the IEC loss rates were 17.21% and 24.34%. These results indicate that the prepared membranes are promising materials for application in fuel cells.

        Study on adaptive concentric performance of floating self-concentric seals

        In present study, solution models for CTPS, CCPS, and LS were established to study radial pressure distribution of the seals and to analyze the effects of inlet/outlet pressure ratios and eccentricity ratios on floating concentric force. A floating self-concentric seal experiment apparatus was designed to study the effects of inlet/outlet pressure ratios and eccentricity ratios on response time and moving track of CTPS, CCPS and LS. The results show that CTPS has a good adaptive concentric performance, which is more suitable as a floating seal ring. Under different inlet/outlet pressure ratios and eccentricity ratios, CTPS always move towards concentric direction, and thereafter stabilizes at equilibrium location with a low eccentricity ratio, which is contributed to the greater floating concentric force counteracting friction force between the ball and plate. With the increase of inlet/outlet pressure ratio and eccentricity ratio, it takes a shorter floating response time to reach the equilibrium location.

        A Day-Ahead Optimization Method of Source–Load Coordination for Power System Using Demand Response and Stackelberg Game

        The continuous expansion of renewable energy sources and their ongoing integration into existing power networks, alongside the emergence of new types of loads, has led to signifcant new challenges emerging for power grid source–load coordination scheduling in recent years. To fully harness the demand response (DR) potential of the load side of such systems, this paper proposes an optimal scheduling method based on DR and the Stackelberg game. A Stackelberg game model is established to formulate day-ahead source–load coordinated scheduling problem, taking account of the stochastic dynamic characteristics of the load response process and user electricity consumption satisfaction with electricity consumption. The model is essentially a strongly nonlinear optimization problem, however; thus, to avoid several of the limitations seen in traditional optimization methods, a data-model fusion-driven method is proposed, with electricity prices formulated by the data-driven method used as input for a model-driven method whose output is then used in turn to guide a data-driven formulation of electricity prices. Case studies on IEEE test systems are used to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed method.
