<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>A Co–B catalyst is used to generate hydrogen from alkaline aqueous <SUB>NaBH4</SUB> solutions. This study examined the properties of a Co–B catalyst prepared using different precursors (<SUB>CoCl2</SUB> and <SUB>CoSO4</SUB>) and <SUB>NaBH4</SUB>/<SUP>Co2+</SUP> mole ratios (0.67, 1.5, 3) at calcination temperatures of 130, 250 and 450<SUP>∘</SUP>C. As the calcination temperature was increased in <SUB>N2</SUB> atmosphere mixed with 1% air, the typical amorphous structure of Co–B disappeared and the X-ray diffraction peaks corresponding to <SUB>Co3</SUB><SUB>O4</SUB> became sharper. Metallic Co was formed when a <SUB>NaBH4</SUB>/<SUP>Co2+</SUP> mole ratio of 3 was used as the reductant with a corresponding reduction in the rate of <SUB>H2</SUB> generation. The highest level of <SUB>H2</SUB> generation (2400ml/ming) was obtained with <SUB>CoCl2</SUB> as the precursor, a <SUB>NaBH4</SUB>/<SUP>CO2+</SUP> mole ratio of 1.5 as the reductant, and a calcination temperature of 250<SUP>∘</SUP>C.</P>

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the behavior of reinforced concrete columns strengthened by section enlargement in consideration of long-term deformation. Experimental variables considered in this study are sustained-loading and new casting materials. Long-term deformation test and static loading test have been carried out on 7 types of specimens. The test results show that outer reinforced concrete column does not greatly influence the long-term deformation of inner reinforced concrete column due to creep and the column specimen under lower sustained load has larger load bearing capacity than that under larger sustained load.

The objective of this paper is to investigate the axial strength of concrete specimens strengthened by section enlargement. Experimental variable in this study is the strength difference between inner and outer concretes. Static loading test have been carried out on 8 types of specimens. The results obtained from test and analysis showed that the axial strength of specimens had been greatly influenced by the effect of Poisson’s ratio and the stress-strain relation of inner and outer concretes. An approach method to predict axial strength of concrete strengthened by section enlargement was suggested.

The aim of this study is to determine the activity of enzymes by soil microorganisms and to develop a HONO production model according to the change in nitrogen concentration in the soil. Most plants absorb nitrogen in the form of nitrate (NO₃⁻) after ammonium (NH₄⁺) is converted into NO₃⁻ by nitrifying bacteria. The NO₃⁻ is reduced to nitrite (NO₂⁻) by nitrate reductase, which is also reduced to NH₄⁺ by nitrite reductase. It is important for the development of HONO model to measure the concentration of a nitrogen source in the soil. Soil samples were collected from Jeollanam-do area. Quantitative analysis of NH₄⁺ was performed using the indophenol method. For quantitative analysis of NO₂⁻ and NO₃⁻, HPLC analysis at 214 nm (Sphereclone Sax column) was performed. The LOD and LOQ of NO₂⁻ and NO₃⁻ were lower than 0.1 ppm and 0.2 ppm, respectively. The concentration decreased with increasing soil depth. Soil samples from soybean fields had a reduced NO₃⁻ concentration from 111.60 ppm to 46.20 ppm. We plan to complete the HONO emission model by measuring the change in the nitrogen concentration and the activity of related enzymes in Korean soil and estimating the reaction rate constant.
Deep reinforcement learning-based robust missile guidance

In missile guidance systems, uncertainties such as sensor noise degrade guidance performance. In order to handle the problem, an End-to-End missile guidance method based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is proposed. This study develops guidance commands for target intercept in a two-dimensional environment. In the environment, it is assumed that the interceptor measures a normalized, noisy relative observation value for the target. Finally, numerical simulations composed of several training and validation are performed to validate the performance of the proposed method.

The cellular composition and metabolic compounds of Leuconostoc mesenteroides ATCC 8293 were analyzed after cultivation in an anaerobic chemostat. The macromolecular composition was 24.4% polysaccharide, 29.7% protein, 7.9% lipid, 2.9% DNA, and 7.4% RNA. Its amino acid composition included large amounts of lysine, glutamic acid, alanine, and leucine. Elements were in the order of C > O > N > H > S. The metabolites in chemostat culture were lactic acid (73.34 mM), acetic acid (7.69 mM), and mannitol (9.93 mM). These data provide a first view of the cellular composition of L. mesenteroides for use in metabolic flux analysis.
