Objective: The aim of this study was to predict human performance time in finding objects on multi-display monitors using ACT-R cognitive architecture. Background: Display monitors are one of the representative interfaces for interaction between people and the system. Nowadays, the use of multi-display monitors is increasing so that it is necessary to research about the interaction between users and the system on multi-display monitors. Method: A cognitive model using ACT-R cognitive architecture was developed for the model-based evaluation on multi-display monitors. To develop the cognitive model, first, an experiment was performed to extract the latency about the where system of ACT-R. Then, a menu selection experiment was performed to develop a human performance model to find objects on multi-display monitors. The validation of the cognitive model was also carried out between the developed ACT-R model and empirical data. Results: As a result, no significant difference on performance time was found between the model and empirical data. Conclusion: The ACT-R cognitive architecture could be extended to model human behavior in the search of objects on multi-display monitors.. Application: This model can help predicting performance time for the model-based usability evaluation in the area of multi-display work environments.

<P>The liver is an important organ and plays major roles in the human body. Because of the lack of liver donors after liver failure and drug-induced liver injury, much research has focused on developing liver alternatives and liver in vitro models for transplantation and drug screening. Although numerous studies have been conducted, these systems cannot faithfully mimic the complexity of the liver. Recently, three-dimensional (3D) cell printing technology has emerged as one of a number of innovative technologies that may help to overcome this limitation. However, a great deal of work in developing biomaterials optimized for 3D cell printing-based liver tissue engineering remains. Therefore, in this work, we developed a liver decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM) bioink for 3D cell printing applications and evaluated its characteristics. The liver dECM bioink retained the major ECM components of the liver while cellular components were effectively removed and further exhibited suitable and adjustable properties for 3D cell printing. We further studied printing parameters with the liver dECM bioink to verify the versatility and fidelity of the printing process. Stem cell differentiation and HepG2 cell functions in the liver dECM bioink in comparison to those of commercial collagen bioink were also evaluated, and the liver dECM bioink was found to induce stem cell differentiation and enhance HepG2 cell function. Consequently, the results demonstrate that the proposed liver dECM bioink is a promising bioink candidate for 3D cell printing based liver tissue engineering.</P>

세계 주요국가들은 선점식 해양이용에 따른 문제에 대응하기 위해 해양공간계획(Marine Spatial Planning)을 도입하였고, 국내에서도 이에 발맞춰 효율적인 해양공간관리를 위해 해양공간계획 및 관리에 관한 법률을 제정하여 2019년부터 시행하고 있다. 따라서 현행 해양공간계획 수립 이후 해양공간 통합관리 체제에 대한 가시적 분석이 필요하지만 효과적인 해양공간관리(Marine Spatial Management)와 성과평가가 가능한 해양공간 관리지표는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 해양공간관리 효율성·접근성을 증진시키고 실수요 기반의 해양정책을 지속적으로 지원할 수 있는 관리지표를 제안하였다. 이를 위해 해양수산정보를 최대한 수집하여 8개 분야로 재분류하고 해양수산부 최신 정책추진 방향을 분석하여 해양공간관리에 대한 5개 비전을 도출하였다. 관리지표는 해양공간관리 비전별로 구분하여 해양수산정보 2개 이상을 융합한 변수/결과형으로 개발하였다. 본 연구결과는 효율적 해양공간관리를 위한 객관적이고 과학적인 근거자료를 구축하는데 활용하고자 한다. Major countries around the world have implemented marine spatial planning to cope with problems caused by preemptive use of the ocean, and in line with this, laws on marine spatial planning and management have been enacted and implemented since 2019. Therefore, a visible analysis of the integrated marine spatial management system is needed after the current marine spatial planning was established, but marine spatial management indicators for effective marine spatial management and performance evaluation are insufficient. In this study, management indicators were proposed that can improve the efficiency and accessibility of marine spatial management and continuously actual demand-based marine policies. To this end, marine and fishery information was collected as much as possible, reclassified into 8 fields, and 5 visions for marine spatial management were derived by analyzing the latest policy direction of the Ministry of ocean and Fisheries. Management indicators were classified by marine spatial management vision and developed in a variable/result type in which two or more marine and fishery information were fused. The result of this study are intended to be used to build objective and scientific evidence for efficient marine spatial management.

Pneumothorax during general anesthesia is more difficult to diagnose compared with that of non-anesthetized patient. Furthermore, the early diagnosis of pneumothorax is to some extent difficult due to CO2-pneumoperitoneum during laparoscopic surgery. The use of ultrasonography to diagnose pneumothorax has increased in a variety of situations, demonstrating a better diagnostic rate than conventional chest radiography. Here, we report two cases of intraoperative capnothorax that were confirmed using the M-mode “lung point” sign. However, the insertion of a chest tube could have been avoided because the spontaneous resolution of capnothorax was quickly identified using bedside lung ultrasonography.

Cooled EGR is an effective method for the reduction of NOx from a diesel engine. EGR cooler is the key component of the EGR system. Recently, high efficiency, high performance and compactness are required for the EGR cooler to meet the Euro-5 emission regulation. Besides, the cutdown of the price of EGR cooler is highlighted. Until now, most of EGR cooler are shell and tube type heat exchangers made of stainless steel. This study investigates the heat transfer performance characteristics according to the design modification of low-cost ALDC(aluminum die-casting) EGR cooler in the same volume basis, whose basic model consists of laminated tubes with rectangular cross section and flow pattern is U-flow.

Recently, high efficiency, high performance and compactness are required for the EGR cooler to meet the Euro-5 emission regulation. This study aimed to CFD analysis for design of LP EGR cooler which is key components of dual loop EGR system. For the design of EGR cooler, the heat transfer performance characteristics of single tube according to various design parameters are analyzed and compared. LP EGR cooler which is piled up tubes is simulated in the same volume basis.

Fur 렌더링 기법은 동물 또는 옷감의 잔털을 표현하는 기법으로, 영화나 게임, 애니메이션에서 3차원 상의 옷의 질감이나 동물의 특징을 표현하는데 사용되었다. 사실적인 Fur의 표현을 위하여 영화나 애니메이션 분야에서는 고성능 컴퓨터를 사용하여 오랜 시간에 걸친 렌더링 과정을 통하여 표현해 왔다. 하지만, 게임분야와 같은 사용자와의 실시간 상호작용이 강조되는 분야에서는 이런 Fur의 느낌을 정적인 Fur의 이미지만을 사용하여 표현할 수 밖에 없는 문제점이 있었다. Fur의 표현은 많은 메모리 소모를 야기 시키기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기 위한 공유버텍스 구조를 가지는 실시간 Fur 렌더시스템을 제안 및 구현해왔으며, 젖은 시뮬레이션을 실시간으로 표현하기 위해 clump를 이용한 방법을 제안한다. Fur rendering techniques, which is expression techniques for animal's fur or cloth's fur, it is used to express cloth's texture or animal's characteristics of 3dimensional space in area of movies, games and animations. For realistic expression for fur in movies and animations areas, they used high-performance computer with long time rendering. But, likes as area of games, which is needed real-time interaction with users, have a problem which is fur expressed by static image of fur. Because, realistic fur expression cause a lot of memory consuming. In this paper, we suggested and implemented real-time fur rendering system with shared-vertex structure for solving this problem, and suggest and a method for wet fur real-time simulation by clumps.
