Nanoclays as nano adsorbent for oxidation of H_2S into elemental sulfur

Modified bentonites were used for the oxidation of H_2S into elemental sulfur. Active phases such as iron and cobalt sulfide were added to supports Cloisite 30B and 15A. The produced nano adsorbents were characterized by X-Ray diffraction, ICP, BET surface area and SEM. Selective oxidation of H_2S was carried out over the nano adsorbent in the experimental setup. The tests were performed at 70 and 180℃, under atmospheric pressure and in the presence of 5,000 ppm of H_2S in the inlet gas stream. The results confirmed the increase in the distribution of active metals and activity of Cloisite 30B, in comparison with Cloisite 15A. Cobalt-containing support showed significant improvement in the capacity of H_2S removal, and in the outlet stream less than 50 ppm of H_2S was detected.
Factors Affecting Job Stress among the Employees of Pakistan Banking Industry

본 연구는 파키스탄 은행 부문의 업무 스트레스 요인을 조사했습니다. 연구의 주요 목적은 은행 부문의 직무 스트레스에 기여하는 요인을 식별하는 것이 었습니다. 양적 및 질적 혼합 연구 기법이 사용되었습니다. 데이터 수집 도구는 설문지와 인터뷰였습니다. 스트레스에 대한 데이터를 수집하기 위해 은행 직원을 대상으로하는자가 신고 설문지와 은행 직원 인터뷰를 편리하게 이용할 수 있습니다. 설문 조사에 참여한 은행 직원 112 명 (남성 74.3 %, 여성 25.7 %). 또한 은행 응답자들로부터 편의성과 가용성을 기준으로 60 건의 인터뷰를 진행했습니다. 기술 통계 도구와 다중 회귀를 사용하여 데이터를 분석했습니다. 그 결과 조직의 정치, 과도한 압력 및 시간 제약이 은행 부문에서 중요한 스트레스 요인임을 확인하였다. This study examined the occupational stress factors in the banking sector of Pakistan. The main purpose of study was to identify factors that contribute to job stress in banking sector. A mix quantitative and qualitative research technique was used. The data collection tool were questionnaire and interviews. In order to collect data on stress a self-reported questionnaire administered to bank employees and interviews conducted from banks employees conveniently available. 112 bank employees (74.3% male and 25.7% female) from different commercial banks participated in the survey. Moreover, 60 interviews conducted on convenience and availability basis from the respondents of the banks. Descriptive statistical tools and multiple regression were used to analyze data. The results identified that organizational politics, over-pressure and time constraints were the significant sources of stress in the banking sector.
Spatial Analysis of Common Gastrointestinal Tract Cancers in Counties of Iran

Background: Gastrointestinal tract cancers are among the most common cancers in Iran and comprise approximately 38% of all the reported cases of cancer. This study aimed to describe the epidemiology and to investigate spatial clustering of common cancers of the gastrointestinal tract across the counties of Iran using full Bayesian smoothing and Moran I Index statistics. Materials and Methods: The data of the national registry cancer were used in this study. Besides, indirect standardized rates were calculated for 371 counties of Iranand smoothed using Winbug 1.4 software with a full Bayesian method. Global Moran I and local Moran I were also used to investigate clustering. Results: According to the results, 75,644 new cases of cancer were nationally registered in Iran among which 18,019 cases (23.8%) were esophagus, gastric, colorectal, and liver cancers. The results of Global Moran's I test were 0.60 (P=0.001), 0.47 (P=0.001), 0.29 (P=0.001), and 0.40 (P=0.001) for esophagus, gastric, colorectal, and liver cancers, respectively. This shows clustering of the four studied cancers in Iran at the national level. Conclusions: High level clustering of the cases was seen in northern, northwestern, western, and northeastern areas for esophagus, gastric, and colorectal cancers. Considering liver cancer, high clustering was observed in some counties in central, northeastern, and southern areas.

Benzene reduction in gasoline was investigated with propylene over synthesized mesoporous H-Al- MCM-41 with Si/Al = 15, 29 and 42 as catalysts in order to produce more environmental friendly gasoline. The resulting catalysts were characterized by XRF, XRD, FTIR, TGA, BET and TPD-NH3 techniques. The results of alkylation of C6-cut obtained from gasoline indicated that the synthesized mesoporous H-AL-MCM-41 with Si/Al = 15 is the most active catalyst among the synthesized catalysts due to high crystallinity, favorable textural properties and large bronsted acidity. The higher conversion of benzene (47.88%) was observed over H-Al-MCM-41 with Si/Al = 15 at B/P = 1 and T = 200 8C.

An inverse design algorithm, called the ball-spine (BS) algorithm, is developed for the design of axial flow compressor blades. Thisalgorithm has been previously applied to the design of 2D sharp leading edge airfoils. In the present study, the BS algorithm is extendedto the design of blunt leading edge compressor blade sections. The algorithm receives a target pressure loading and an initial guess for itsgeometry. Through the design procedure, the geometry is evolved until the target pressure is achieved. The accuracy of the method isassessed against two airfoils, namely, NACA65-410 (with the initial guess for geometry as a flat-plate-airfoil) and NACA65-610 (withthe initial guess for geometry as NACA65-410). The method is shown to be efficient and accurate, and can capture the target geometry inapproximately 50 evolutions. As an application, a new airfoil with 5% more lift than NACA65-610 is designed, for which NACA65-610geometry is used as the initial guess.
H2S oxidation by multi-wall carbon nanotubes decorated with tungsten sulfide

Tungsten sulfide catalysts decorated on single and multiwall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs & MWNTs) and activated carbon were synthesized, and XRD, ICP, SEM, TEM and ASAP analyses were employed to acquire the characteristics of each catalyst. Afterwards a gas flow containing 5,000 ppm of H2S was passed over the catalyst in gas hour space velocity (GHSV) of 5,000 h−1, temperature of 65 oC, steam volume percent of 20 and O2/H2S ratio equal to 2. The results revealed that the catalyst supported on MWNTs exhibited higher conversion amongst its counterparts. Then effects of GHSV, steam volume percent in the feed, catalyst loading and temperature were investigated on conversion of hydrogen sulfide to elemental sulfur for tungsten sulfide catalyst decorated on MWNTs.

The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the attitudes of male and female customers regarding internet-based brand loyalty and its determinants in the Pakistani garments context. This study proposes that perceived quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, and brand image both directly and indirectly affects internet-based brand loyalty. A survey questionnaire with a convenience sampling approach was used to collect the primary data and it was collected from 197 customers of garment brands in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The proposed conceptual model indicated that the perceived quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, and brand image are important determinants of internet-based brand loyalty. All the hypotheses developed in this study were found statistically significant in the context of males and females. The study applies the regression analysis technique by using SPSS. The differences between male and female examined separately as well as together and the results showed that satisfied female customers have less internet-based brand loyalty than satisfied male customers (male customers are easier to retain as compare to female customers). This is because; loyalty and satisfaction of females are greatly shaped by the higher brand image and perceived quality, whereas male customers become more satisfied and loyal through attaining higher perceived value. The conclusions and the implications for internet-based brand loyalty are discussed.

Background: It is recognized that socioeconomic status (SES) has a significant impact on health and wellbeing; however, the effect of SES on suicide is contested. This study explored the effect of SES in suicide deaths and de-composed inequality into its determinants to calculate relative contributions.Methods: Through a cross-sectional study, 546 suicide deaths and 6,818 suicide attempts from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2014 in Ilam Province, Western Iran were explored. Inequality was measured by the absolute con-centration index (ACI) and decomposed contributions were identified. All analyses were performed using STATA ver. 11.2 (Stata Corp., College Station, TX, USA).Results: The overall ACI for suicide deaths was -0.352 (95% confidence interval, -0.389 to -0.301). According to the results, 9.8% of socioeconomic inequality in suicide deaths was due to addiction in attempters. ACI ranged from -0.34 to -0.03 in 2010–2014, showing that inequality in suicide deaths declined over time.Conclusion: Findings showed suicide deaths were distributed among the study population unequally, and our re-sults confirmed a gap between advantaged and disadvantaged attempters in terms of death. Socioeconomic in-equalities in suicide deaths tended to diminish over time, as suicide attempts progressed in Ilam Province.

<P>We show that the 2 × 2 × 2 interference network, i.e., the multihop interference network formed by concatenation of two two-user interference channels achieves the min-cut outer bound value of 2 DoF, for almost all values of channel coefficients, for both time-varying or fixed-channel coefficients. The key to this result is a new idea, called aligned interference neutralization, that provides a way to align interference terms over each hop in a manner that allows them to be canceled over the air at the last hop.</P>
