        텍스트 점유율 조정을 통한 소설 텍스트 수정 연구

        본 연구는 텍스트 점유율 조정을 통해 중급 한국어 학습자 수준에 맞게 소설 텍스트를 수정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 대상 텍스트인 박태원의 「소설가 구보 씨의 일일」은 산책과 배회의 과정을 통해 1930년대의 무기력한지식인의 눈에 비친 일상과 이상과 현실에 대한 갈등에 관해 서술한 작품으로 2009 개정 교육과정 고등학교 교과서에도 고빈도로 수록된 단편소설이다. 이 작품은 Carter와 Long(1991)의 문학교육 모형 중 개인 성장 모형에 적합한 것으로 낯선 타지에서 유학 생활을 하는 학습자들의 경험과 밀접하게 연결될 수 있다. 또한 일제강점기의 경성의 모습을 통해 한국 근대화의 모습을 엿볼 수 있어 문화 모형의 수업에도 연결될 수 있다. 텍스트의 수정을 위해 국립국어원의 한국어 교육 어휘 내용 개발 어휘 목록 기준을 A~E등급으로 확장하여 고등학교 교과서 수록단편소설의 텍스트 점유율을 분석한 황혜란(2017)의 결과를 기반으로 A~C등급에 해당하는 어휘가 전체 텍스트의95% 이상이 되도록 텍스트를 수정하였다. 95% 이상의 점유율을 그 기준으로 한 것은 한국어 학습자를 대상으로이해 가능한 읽기 텍스트의 점유율을 연구한 윤새롬(2011) 및 Nation(2013) 등에 따른 것으로 95%의 텍스트 점유율은 성공적인 읽기 수행을 위한 문지방이 된다. 본 연구는 기 구축된 코퍼스의 자료와 연구 기준을 활용함으로써 객관적이고 효율적인 방식으로 학습자 수준에 맞게 텍스트를 수정함으로써 한국어교육 현장에서 소설작품의 실제적인 활용 기반이 마련되기를 기대하는 바이다. This study aims to revise novel texts for intermediate-level Korean language learners through text coverage adjustment. The target text, Park Tae-won’s A Day in the Life of Kubo the Novelist is a work that illustrates the conflicts concerning the daily life, ideal, and reality seen in the eyes of a helpless intellectual in the 1930s through the process of walking and wandering and is a short story included a high frequency in high school textbooks under the 2009 revised national curriculum. This work suits the personal growth model in the literature education models by Carter and Long (1991) and can be closely connected to the experience of the learners who study abroad in unfamiliar places. Furthermore, since it is possible to peek the Korean modernization through the image of Gyeongseong during the Japanese colonial period, it can also be connected to the class of a cultural model. For the revision of the text, this study revised the text based on the result of Hwang (2017) who analyzed text coverage of short stories included in high school textbooks, expanding the vocabulary list standard of Korean Language Education Vocabulary Content Development by the National Institute of the Korean Language to Classes A-E, so that vocabularies in Classes A-C would be more than 95% of the entire text. The coverage of 95% and over was taken as the standard according to Yoon (2011) and Nation (2013) who investigated the coverage of understandable reading texts for Korean-language learners, and the text coverage of 95% becomes the threshold for successful reading performance. Hopefully, this study would prepare the base for the practical utilization of novels in the field of Korean language education, revising the text for the learners’ levels objectively and efficiently by utilizing the established corpus materials and research criteria.

      • Successful Application of New Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation System in vivo Porcine Model: A Case Report

        Introduction: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is being used for management of various cardiorespiratory conditions. The aim of this study was to develop and prove the efficacy and safety of new ECMO system in vivo porcine model. Methods: Under general anesthesia, the experimental pig was undergoing mechanical ventilation with protective ventilation (volume control mode, tidal volume: 6ml/kg, Positive end expiratory pressure(PEEP) :5mmHg, Respiratory rate(RR) :10/min, I:E ratio :1:2, FIO2 :0.21) and femoral cannulation for new ECMO system using the single-site double lumen catheter. Except membrane oxygenator, whole device was newly developed including centrifugal pump and control unit with multi-functioned sensors. We monitored cardiovascular and respiratory status and checked metabolic parameters from arterial blood samples periodically for evaluation of the gas exchange, hemolysis and coagulation parameters. ACT was checked for heparinization. The pig was followed up to 12 hours. Results: The pig showed cardiovascular and hemodynamic stability for 12 hours without bleeding or clotting complications showing stable oxygenation and carbon dioxide removal (Figure 1). Conclusions: We established new ECMO system proving safety and efficacy with adequate oxygenation and carbon dioxide removal in a preclinical in vivo porcine model.

      • 2단계 하이브리드 방법을 이용한 2D 스테레오 영상의 3D 모델링

        일반적으로 2D 스테레오 영상으로부터 3차원 모델링을 위해서는 정확한 변위 측정이 필수이다. 기존의 스테레오 영상에서 변위 측정 방식은 전체 영상에 대하여 정합 연산을 수행함으로써 많은 연산 시간과 함께 높은 오 정합 확률의 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 스테레오 영상에서의 변위 벡터가 전체탐색 범위 안에 골고루 분포되어 있지 않고 배경과 물체의 변위에 해당하는 값만을 갖는다는 특성을 이용하여 스테레오 영상을 웨이블릿 변환을 하고 1/4 크기로 줄어든 저주파 영역으로부터 영역 기반 방법을 이용하여 대략적인 변위 영역을 구한다. 대략적인 변위 벡터로부터 변위 히스토그램을 생성하고, 이를 이용하여 전경과 배경을 분할 한 뒤, 다시 전경 영상만을 원 영상으로 복원하여 화소의 밝기값이 아닌 2차 미분값을 이용한 화소기반 방법을 통해 조밀한 변위를 구하는 2단계 하이브리드 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 분할된 전경 영역으로부터, 특징점들을 뽑아내고 변위 벡터와 카메라 파라미터를 이용하여 특징점들의 깊이 정보를 추정해 내는 3차원 모델링 과정을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 적용할 경우, 기존의 영역 기반 방법의 문제점인 계산 시간 문제를 상당 부분 단축시킬 수 있고, LOG 필터를 통한 2차 미분값을 이용한 화소기반 방법을 추가함으로써, 정밀한 변위를 구할 수 있다. 또한 교차 일치성 검사를 통해 잘못된 변위를 제거하고, 폐색 영역들을 검사할 수 있다. 아울러 3차원 모델링 과정에서, 기존의 Delaunay 삼각측량법의 문제점인 오정합 문제를 전경/배경 분할 알고리즘을 제안함으로써 효과적으로 해결 할 수 있다. Generally, it is essential to estimate exact disparity for the 3D modeling from stereo images. Because existing methods calculate disparities from a whole image, they require too much computational time and bring about the mismatching problem. In this article, using the characteristic that the disparity vectors in stereo images are distributed not equally in a whole image but only exist about the background and object, we do a wavelet transformation on stereo images and estimate coarse disparity fields from the reduced lowpass field using area-based method at first-step. From these coarse disparity vectors, we generate disparity histogram and then separate object from background area using it. Afterwards, we restore only object area to the original image and estimate dense and accurate disparity by our two-step pixel-based method which does not use pixel brightness but use second gradient. We also extract feature points from the separated object area and estimate depth information by applying disparity vectors and camera parameters. Finally, we generate 3D model using both feature points and their z coordinates. By using our proposed method, we can considerably reduce the computation time and estimate the precise disparity through the additional pixel-based method using LOG filter. Furthermore, our proposed foreground/background method can solve the mismatching problem of existing Delaunay triangulation and generate accurate 3D model.

        PCR-Based Detection of Mycoplasma Species

        In this study, we describe our newly-developed sensitive two-stage PCR procedure for the detection of 13 common mycoplasmal contaminants (M. arthritidis, M. bovis, M. fermentans, M. genitalium, M. hominis, M. hyorhinis, M. neurolyticum, M. orale, M. pirum, M. pneumoniae, M. pulmonis, M. salivarium, U. urealyticum). For primary amplification, the DNA regions encompassing the 16S and 23S rRNA genes of 13 species were targeted using general mycoplasma primers. The primary PCR products were then subjected to secondary nested PCR, using two different primer pair sets, designed via the multiple alignment of nucleotide sequences obtained from the 13 mycoplasmal species. The nested PCR, which generated DNA fragments of 165-353 bp, was found to be able to detect 1-2 copies of the target DNA, and evidenced no cross-reactivity with the generated DNA of related microorganisms or of human cell lines, thereby confirming the sensitivity and specificity of the primers used. The identification of contaminated species was' achieved via the performance of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) coupled with Sau3AI digestion. The results obtained in this study furnish evidence suggesting that the employed assay system constitutes an effective tool for the disagnosis of mycoplasmal contamination in cell culture systems.

      • Factors Associated with Cavitary Tuberculosis and Treatment Outcomes: A Single-center Study of Korean Adults

        Purpose Cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is associated with poor outcomes, treatment relapse, higher transmission rates, and the development of drug resistance. However, reports on its clinical characteristics, associated factors, and treatment outcomes are lacking. Method We retrospectively evaluated 410 patients with drug-susceptible pulmonary TB between 2014 and 2019. Result Of the patients enrolled, 244 (59.5%) had non-cavitary TB and 166 (40.5%) had cavitary TB. Patients with cavitary TB, compared with those with non-cavitary TB, were younger (mean 65 years vs. 57 years, P <0.001), more commonly had a history of TB (15.7% vs. 6.1%, P = 0.002), and had lower BMI (mean 21.0 kg/m2 vs. 22.3 kg/m2, P<0.001). Patients with cavitary TB showed significantly higher baseline AFB smear positivity (P<0.001) and NAAT positivity (P=0.004) than those with non-cavitary TB. Multivariable analysis showed that age (adjusted OR = 0.98, 95% CI: 0.96-0.99), BMI (adjusted OR = 0.88, 95% CI: 0.81-0.97), previous history of TB (adjusted OR = 3.45, 95% CI: 1.24-9.59), smoking (adjusted OR = 1.77, 95% CI: 1.01-3.13), DM (adjusted OR = 2.72, 95% CI: 1.36-5.44), and positive Results on the initial AFB smear (adjusted OR = 2.24, 95% CI: 1.26-3.98) were significantly associated with cavitary TB. The treatment lasted significantly longer in patients with cavitary TB than in those with non-cavitary TB (248 [102-370 days] vs 202 [98-336 days], P<0.001). The recurrence rate after treatment success and unfavorable outcomes was significantly higher in the patients with cavitary TB than in those with non-cavitary TB (0.4% vs 3.0% P = 0.042). Conclusion Previous or current smoking, lower BMI, previous history of TB, diabetes mellitus, and positivity of the initial AFB smear were associated with cavitary TB. The patients with cavitary TB had more AFB culture-positive Results at 2 months, longer treatment duration, and higher recurrence rates than those with non-cavitary TB.

      • Multiple reference genome of Cucurbits (melon and Korean melon) for Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS)

        The Cucurbitaceae (Cucurbits) family has 825 species in 118 genera, predominantly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. Major cucurbit crops including cucumber (Cucumis sativa), melon (Cucumis melo), watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), and squash/pumpkin (Cucumis pepo) are important in the human diet and the rural economy. In recent years, large amount of genome information has been analyzed and reported in major cucurbit crops, such as cucumber, melon, and watermelon. To construct high quality reference genome sequence of Korean melon (Chamoe), genomic and transcriptomic sequence data were generated from Korean native (Gotgam) and elite (SW3) Chamoe inbred line using Illumina HiSeq2000 platform. In case of genome analysis, 4,773 scaffolds covering 98% of Gotgam Chamoe were assembled through de novo genome assembly and reference-based assembly. Large number of simple sequence repeats (SSRs) and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were detected between two inbred lines and these markers were used for construction of genetic maps and discrimination of cultivars or species. In addition, genome sequence of other Chamoe and melon including Chang Bougi, Sakata’s Sweet, Prescott Fond Blanc and Banana melon will be constructed by de novo genome analysis. Genetic markers of these will also be detected and used for marker-assisted breeding and further analysis to investigate major traits of Chamoe, fruit color and flesh color. In conclusion, the newly constructed reference genome will provide genome information for comparative genomics and breeding of other cucurbit crops.

        SH3 Domain-Containing Protein 2 Plays a Crucial Role at the Step of Membrane Tubulation during Cell Plate Formation

        <P>During cytokinesis in plants, trans-Golgi network-derived vesicles accumulate at the center of dividing cells and undergo various structural changes to give rise to the planar cell plate. However, how this conversion occurs at the molecular level remains elusive. In this study, we report that SH3 Domain-Containing Protein 2 (SH3P2) in Arabidopsis thaliana plays a crucial role in converting vesicles to the planar cell plate. SH3P2 RNAi plants showed cytokinesis-defective phenotypes and produced aggregations of vesicles at the leading edge of the cell plate. SH3P2 localized to the leading edge of the cell plate, particularly the constricted or curved regions of the cell plate. The BAR domain of SH3P2 induced tubulation of vesicles. SH3P2 formed a complex with dynamin-related protein 1A (DRP1A) and affected DRP1A accumulation to the cell plate. Based on these results, we propose that SH3P2 functions together with DRP1A to convert the fused vesicles to tubular structures during cytokinesis.</P>
