      • 유아교육에서 미적교육에 관한 이론적 고찰 : Schiller의 『미학 편지』를 중심으로

        There is a growing interest in the arts and aesthetic education as a critical alternative for reason-centered modem education. Schiller who had already forecasted the dark aspects of human reasoning in modern society, insisted paying more attention to the aesthetic education. In the book, 『The Aesthetic Education of Man』 which includes his speculation about beauty and the naturc of man, Schiller emphasized perfect coexistence and unification of sensuous drive and formal drive human mind. In terms of Schiller, Play drive that is a combination of sensuous and formal aspect can foresee completion of man, and it is only possible through beauty and aesthetic education by the arts. Schiller's aesthetic education gives suggestions to early childhood education that is abundant with the beauty, art, imagination, and play as those are also core part in Schiller's theory too. Especially, this article explored how beauty and arts are connected to the essence of early childhood education. Finally, this study also discussed educational implication of Schiller's aesthetic theory and direction of today's early childhood education that is asked more careful consideration about aesthetic appreciation and art education.

        <P>Adhesions are abnormal attachments between tissues, caused by an inflammatory stimulus or trauma. It was generally used physical barriers and various agents to prevent from adhesions formation. In this study, we made an experiment on animals with wound covering material of substance to prevent tissue adhesion. It was performed in sub-acute toxicity, and tested local effects after implantation.</P>

      • Exogenous 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine Attenuates Pulmotoxicity of Normal Human Bronchial Epithelial Cell Lines Exposed to Cadmium

        Background Increasing researches have been reported that 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG), one of the wastes of DNA damages arising from oxidative stress, involved in ameliorating pathological exacerbation of in vitro and in vivo various disease models induced by damageable triggers. However, the action of the molecule in normal human bronchial epithelial cell line (BEAS- 2B) exposed to cadmium (Cd) has not been elucidated. In the current study, we investigated whether exogenous 8-OHdG contributes to alleviate pulmotoxicity when exposed to Cd in BEAS-2B cells. Methods We conducted real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR), H2DCFDA assay, flow cytometric analysis and immunoblots to identify the therapeutic effects of 8-OHdG on BEAS-2B cells exposed to Cd in terms of pathological changes, which are inflammatory response, ROS production, ER stress- and EMT-related gene expressions. Results 8-OHdG induced the down-regulation of inflammatory mediators in BEAS-2B cells exposed to Cd in RNA level and/or secretion forms. BEAS-2B cells treated with Cd and 8-OHdG accounted for the fewer cell population of color changes to green than cells just exposed to Cd, indicating that 8-OHdG diminishes intracellular ROS production in BEAS-2B cells exposed to Cd. 8-OHdG reduced the expressions of ER stress-related genes such as Bip, IRE1α and Ero1-Lα, and Fibronectin, Claudin, Snail1 and Slug related to EMT. Interestingly, recovery of E-cadherin expression was partially observed in BEAS-2B treated with Cd 10 μM and 8-OHdG. Conclusions 8-OHdG decreases pathological damages of BEAS-2B exposed to Cd by mitigating activations of inflammation, ROS, ER stress and EMT in transcriptional and translational levels. Taken together, these findings provide a basis that 8-OHdG can be a therapeutic candidate to attenuate continually vicious cycles inducing pathological injury (This work was supported by the Research Program funded by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(2020-NG-010-01)).

        Schiller와 Dewey 미학이론의 유아교육적 함의

        본 연구는 예술을 인간교육의 핵심으로 잡고 있는 Schiller와 Dewey 미학이론을 고찰하여 그 유아교육적 함의를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이들은 각자가 처하였던 시대적·문화적 상황의 차이로 인해 예술과 놀이, 지식에 관한 상이한 접근을 보이고 있다. Schiller 미학이론에서는 유희충동과 아름다운 예술, 인간성의 고양을 핵심사상으로, Dewey의 미학이론에서는 프래그머티즘, 경험, 예술의 교육적 기능을 핵심사상으로 도출하였다. 이를 통해 먼저, Schiller의 미학이론에서는 유희충동을 통한 유아의 신성 구현, 이상적인 유아를 위한 아름다운 예술, 인간성의 고양으로 유아의 전인교육의 실현에 대하여 고찰해보았고, Dewey의 미학이론에서는 유아교육에서의 프래그머티즘, 교육적 경험으로서 유아의 미적 경험, 유아교육의 예술성에 대하여 논의하였다. 미적인간과 미적경험이라는 용어로 대변되는 이들의 이론은 유아교육에서 미의 범위와 역할을 확장시키고, 유아들의 예술 교육에 관한 재인식의 과정을 촉구할 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to seek a philosophical basis for early childhood aesthetic education by reviewing Schiller and Dewey`s aesthetic theories. Three implications were drawn from Schiller`s aesthetic theory: a divine nature embodiment of early children through play drive, a beautiful art building ideal children, and a realization of education for the whole man by humanity enhancement. Three implications were also drawn from Dewey`s aesthetic theory: the Pragmatism at early childhood education, an aesthetic experience of children as an educational experience, and artistry of early childhood education. Schiller hypothesized an aesthetic human as the one who pursuits of a high-dimensional knowledge by fine arts. On the contrary, Dewey suggested a democratic citizen who is mature through the arts connected with daily life. While Schiller`s theory was based upon hypothesis, Dewey`s premise was more pragmatic. However despite the confliction between Schiller`s and Dewey`s theories, they can be a complement each other. It can be viewed as a key to overcome limitations in the process of promoting aesthetic education. This conclusions will be made to take a synergy effect on early childhood education.

        Schiller와 Dewey 미학이론에 기초한 유아교육의 이념과 실천의 의미

        본 연구는 교육의 본질에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 제공하고 있는 Schiller와 Dewey의 미학이론을 비교학적으로 분석하여 교육의 이념과 실천에 대한 의미를 유아교육의 관점에서 논의하였다. 『미학편지』로 대표되는 Schiller의 미학이론은 근대성을 비판하고 절대적 가치를 가진 미를 강조함으로써 유아의 영성과 놀이, 예술에 대한 근원적인 의미를 되새겨 미적인간의 완성이라는 유아교육의 이념에 기여하고 있다. 한편, 『경험으로서의 예술』 등에서 나타나는 Dewey의 미학이론은 일상적 경험과 미적 경험의 통합 가능성을 제시함으로써 유아교육의 다양한 교수-학습 원리를 바탕으로 유아의 모든 경험이 미적경험이 되어야 한다는 유아교육의 실천적 측면에 시사하고 있다. 이들의 미학이론은 유아교육에서 상실되어가는 이념의 회복과, 유아교육 현장에서 직접적이고 실천되는 심미적 교육의 가능성을 전망할 수 있도록 한다. 관념론적이고 가상적인 Schiller의 미적인간과 구체적이고 실천적인 Dewey의 미적경험은 매우 대비적인 성격을 지니면서도 미를 통한 교육이라는 공통분모를 공유함으로써 교육의 본질에 기여하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to discuss the meanings of educational ideas and practices through studying Schiller's and Dewey's aesthetic theories. According to Schiller's ideas mainly represented in Letters on the Aesthetic Education of Man, he criticized modernism and emphasized beauty as an absolute value Schiller's ideas are reflected in the idea of the aesthetic man in the field of early childhood education, through the process of promoting children's spirituality and searching for the original meanings of play and arts. Dewey's aesthetic theories that are represented in Art as Experience, on the other hand, have their roots on Pragmatism and they present the possibility of combining daily experiences and aesthetic experiences. Dewey's ideas imply the need of practical efforts in the field of early childhood education to make every experiences of the child aesthetic ones. With these two aesthetic theories, can we hope to recover the educational ideas in the field of early childhood education and to expect that the aesthetic education can be realized in the early childhood classrooms. Even though these two theories have some opposing characteristics-Schiller's theory is idealistic and imaginary but Dewey's theory is specific and practical-they also have commonalities in the ideas of 'education through beauty' and hence they contribute to the essence of the early childhood education.

        Preparation of PLGA Microparticles by a double Emulsion Solvent Technique for Sustained Release of (-)-epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) and Their Growth Inhibitory Effect on Rat Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells

        In this study, we fabricated porous PLGA microparticles loaded with EGCG by a modified water-in-oil-in-water (W/ O/W) double emulsion solvent evaporation method. The physicochemical properties of the EGCG-loaded PLGA microparticles were studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transformed-infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and in vitro release measurements. A remarkable burst effect was observed on first stage however the released amount was reduced largely with time. This result showed that the release of EGCG increased by its loading amount. Also, EGCG - loaded PLGA particles inhibited the growth of rat aortic smooth muslce cells (RASMC). This study demonstrates that PLGA microparticle system is potential as an efficient EGCG carrier in medical therapy.

        영화 ‘올드 보이’ 의 캐릭터 분석에 관한 연구

        This study analyzed by dividing style factors of the 3 main characters of "Old boy" directed by Park Chan-wook into make-up, hair style and costume. This study was considered with reference to captured images of movie DVDs, related literature, previous papers and materials on the Internet. As a result of study, style factors of the characters in "Old boy" expressed symbolically occupational characteristics, personality, psychological state, surrounding environment and psychological change. Symbolism mainly emerged as color representation. Black expressed negative symbol such as 'death, dryness,' and blue also expressed common symbol such as 'melancholy, sadness and loneliness.' Red expressed two opposite symbols such as 'love' and 'aggressiveness, vengeance and determination for vengeance.' White expressed symbol of 'pureness, hope,' violet expressed 'fragmentation, confusion,' and gray expressed 'melancholy, lethargy.' This result showed that style factors of characters in movie played an effective role to help audiences understand this movie by expanding its storyline and making personal characteristics and psychological state of each character visible.

        노년기의 여가활동참여와 노후준비도 및 생활만족도의 관계

        For investigating the relationship between leisure activity participation of the elderly, and preparation for old age and life satisfaction, in this study, purposive sampling was employed targeting a population of older people aged over 60 in Seoul and capital area, and 215 of them were used for the final analysis, after the survey of senior welfare centers, the elderly’s collages and religious groups in Seoul and capital area. Data gathered for verifying research problems were analysed using SPSS Version 18.0. Then, factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted to verify the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, frequency analysis, t-test and one-way ANOVA were carried out to see the differences of individual properties, and correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed to consider the relationship between variables, and influences. The research results are as below. First, there were significant differences in preparation for old age and life satisfaction, according to individual characters. Second, leisure activity participation time of the aged had significant effect on health pursuit behaviors, participation frequency affected social preparation for later life, and participation frequency, participation time and participation period had significant effect on preparation for leisure. Third, leisure activity participation frequency of seniors significantly affected physical functions. Fourth, health pursuit behavior in old age and social preparation for later life had significant influence on physical functions, health pursuit behavior had influence on self-esteem, health pursuit behavior and social preparation for later life influenced personal relationships and preparation for leisure had significant effect on their economic lives.

        실리카 파우더를 이용한 에폭시 복합소재의 열적/기계적 특성

        에폭시 수지는 취성(brittleness)으로 인한 기계적 강도의 저하가 발생하고 금속 등과 같이 열팽창 계수가 다른 재료와 결합하여 함께 사용하는 경우에 열변형 차이 때문에 부품의 박리나 부분손상 등이 일어나는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 복합재료의 기계적 강도 및 열안정성을 높이기 위하여 아민기를 가진 실란 커플링제를 이용하여 표면 처리한 실리카 입자를 에폭시 수지에 첨가하여 강화된 복합재료 시편을 제조한 에폭시 복합재료 시편을 대상으로 분산의 적절성을 확인하고 기계적 특성과 열적 물성을 평가하고자 하였다. 함량 변화에 따른 기계적 특성 변화를 UTM으로 인장강도를 측정한 결과 30-50 MPa의 인장강도 값을 보였다. 실리카 입자가 에폭시 수지 내에 함량에 따라 분산된 정도를 비교하기 위해 SEM 및 EDS 분석을 수행하였다. TMA 분석을 통하여 열팽창계수 및 유리전이온도를 확인하였으며 열충격 실험을 통하여 에폭시 복합소재의 내열안정성을 평가하였다. Epoxy composites with concentrations of 5-70 wt% of silica particles were prepared in order to improve mechanical property and poor thermal stability. The mechanical and thermal properties were investigated and compared to the corresponding properties of neat epoxy composite. Furthermore, the effects of silane compound treatment on silica particles were observed by the experimental results of the tensile strength, glass transition temperature, and thermal stability of epoxy composite. Tensile strength of epoxy composites was measured by universal testing machine (UTM) and after that, the structure and morphology analysis of epoxy nanocomposites were analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The increased solid content of CA0030 particle improved the tensile strength of epoxy/modified composites to give 30-50 MPa. The thermal expansion coefficients (CTE) of neat epoxy resin and epoxy/silica composites measured with a thermomechanical analyzer (TMA) showed that the incorporation of silica particles was helpful to reduce the CTE of neat epoxy resin.
