        실제 신문을 활용한 확장형 한국어 읽기 수업 효과 : 대만 내 고급 단계 학습자를 중심으로

        본 연구는 대만의 한국어를 전공하는 고급 단계의 학습자를 대상으로 신문을 활용하여 확장형 읽기 프로그램을 진행하고, 그 후에 효과를 분석하는 데에 목적이 있다. 확장형 읽기는 학습자 스스로 읽고 싶은 것을 많이, 빠르게 읽는 것이 중요하다. 이때 신문은 읽기의 좋은 학습 도구가 된다. 신문은 새로운 소식을 빠르게 전달하고 한 나라의 문화, 사회 등을 알려준다. 대만 학습자들이 한국어를 배우는 목적은 한국에 대한 관심인 경우가 많다. 이러한 이유로 학습자들은 교실 안에서는 물론 교실 밖에서도 신문을 부담 없이 읽을 수 있어야 한다. 이에 이 연구에서는 대만 학습자들이 교실 밖에서도 신문을 읽을 수 있게 하기 위해서 신문을 활용한 읽기 프로그램을 진행하였다. 9차시 동안 인터뷰기사, 사설 기사, 칼럼 기사, 보도 기사, 피처 기사를 읽는 연습을 하였다. 그 후에 교실 밖에서 스스로 신문을 찾아 있는 연습을 하였다. 그 결과 학습자들의 읽기 능력이 향상되었다. 또한 학습자들은 한국어 실력이 좋아진 것 같다고 느꼈다. 이 연구는 대만 학습자들을 위해 신문을 활용한 확장형 읽기 프로그램을 실제로 시행했다는 의미가 있다. 그러나 비교적 단기간에 진행되었다는 한계가 있다. 향후 대만 학습자들을 위해 신문을 활용한 확장형 읽기가 지속적으로 진행된다면 대만 학습자들의 한국어 실력은 물론 읽기 능력도 향상될 것으로 기대한다. This study aims to analyze the effect of using newspapers in extensive reading classes for advanced level learners majoring in the Korean language in Taiwan. Newspapers deliver news quickly and inform the reader about the culture and society of a country. Taiwanese learners are interested in learning about the society and culture of Korea. Therefore, learners should be able to read newspapers in and out of the classroom. Therefore, in this study, a reading program using newspapers was conducted so that Taiwanese learners could read newspapers outside the classroom. During the ninth hour, I practiced reading interview articles, editorial articles, column articles, press articles, and feature articles. First, inside the classroom, students practiced reading interview articles, editorial articles, column articles, press articles, and feature articles. Later, outside of the classroom, students practiced searching for newspapers themselves. Consequently, learners' reading skills improved. Also, the learners felt that their Korean language skills seemed to have improved.

        Trends in the effects of socioeconomic position on physical activity levels and sedentary behavior among Korean adolescents

        OBJECTIVES: We examined trends in physical activity and sedentary behavior in Korean adolescents, and their association with socioeconomic position (SEP). METHODS: We used data from the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey, a nationwide study involving students aged 12-19 conducted between 2009 and 2021. SEP was assessed based on economic status, parental education attainment, and urbanization. Physical activity was categorized into vigorous physical activity, moderate physical activity, and muscle training, and sedentary time was also measured. We conducted the log-binomial regression to calculate prevalence ratios (PRs) and prevalence differences. RESULTS: Our analysis included a total of 593,896 students. We observed an increasing trend in physical activity, but a worsening trend in sedentary behavior. A positive association was found between an adolescent’s physical activity and SEP indicators, except for urbanization. Adolescents with higher economic status engaged in more vigorous physical activity (high: PR, 1.26; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.25 to 1.28; middle: PR, 1.03; 95% CI, 1.02 to 1.04). Similar associations were observed for father’s education (tertiary or above: PR, 1.11; 95% CI, 1.09 to 1.13; upper secondary: PR, 1.05; 95% CI, 1.03 to 1.07) and mother’s education (tertiary or above: PR, 1.17; 95% CI, 1.15 to 1.20; upper secondary: PR, 1.06; 95% CI, 1.04 to 1.08). Adolescents with higher economic status also showed a higher compliance rate with the guideline restricting sedentary time to 2 hours per day (high: PR, 1.28; 95% CI, 1.25 to 1.30; middle: PR, 1.03; 95% CI, 1.01 to 1.05). CONCLUSIONS: Adolescents with higher SEP exhibited more physical activity and less sedentary time than those with lower SEP.

        Incidence, Risk Factors, and Prediction of Myocardial Infarction and Stroke in Farmers: A Korean Nationwide Population-based Study

        Objectives: This study was conducted to determine the incidence and risk factors of myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke in farmers compared to the general population and to establish 5-year prediction models. Methods: The farmer cohort and the control cohort were generated using the customized database of the National Health Insurance Service of Korea database and the National Sample Cohort, respectively. The participants were followed from the day of the index general health examination until the events of MI, stroke, or death (up to 5 years). Results: In total, 734 744 participants from the farmer cohort and 238 311 from the control cohort aged between 40 and 70 were included. The age-adjusted incidence of MI was 0.766 and 0.585 per 1000 person-years in the farmer and control cohorts, respectively. That of stroke was 0.559 and 0.321 per 1000 person-years in both cohorts, respectively. In farmers, the risk factors for MI included male sex, age, personal history of hypertension, diabetes, current smoking, creatinine, metabolic syndrome components (blood pressure, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol). Those for stroke included male sex, age, personal history of hypertension, diabetes, current smoking, high γ-glutamyl transferase, and metabolic syndrome components (blood pressure, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol). The prediction model showed an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.735 and 0.760 for MI and stroke, respectively, in the farmer cohort. Conclusions: Farmers had a higher age-adjusted incidence of MI and stroke. They also showed distinct patterns in cardiovascular risk factors compared to the general population.

        사용자 성격유형에 따른 주거공간 실내디자인 요구에 관한 연구

        This study aims to find out various users’ diverse interior design needs for their housing and interior design through the personality, which is intrinsic and consistent traits of the individual. The survey research followed the literature reviews including personality studies and interior design assessments. 176 undergraduate and graduate students as controlled by age, sex, and major answered the questionnaire. Their housing and interior design attitudes, the semiotic assessment of interior design styles, and interior design preference were compared in accordance with four pairs of preference dichotomy of MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator): Extraversion-Introversion, Sensing-iNtuition, Thinking-Feeling, Judging-Perceiving. As a result, the framework of housing and interior design needs by the users’ personality types are proposed. It shows specific needs for 16 types of personality based on eight preference dichotomy: extroversion-open, introversion-closed, sensing-functional, intuition-emotional, thinking-restricted, feeling-receptive, judging-simple, and perceiving-creative.

        Vision Inspection Methods for Uniformity Enhancement in Long-Length 2G HTS Wire Production

        <P>With much effort devoted by many research groups, the performance of 2nd generation (2G) superconducting wires, also called coated conductors (CC), was drastically improved, leading to many meaningful and impressive demonstrations of electric power devices. Now that the performances such as critical current, in-field characteristics, and mechanical strengths became sufficient to the application, the attention has moved to how we can produce long 2G wires with high uniformity. Many in-line inspection tools are tested and introduced to address these challenges. In this paper, we describe two methods that we adopted for in-line monitoring and feedback control of layer deposition. One is for texture control of ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD) of an MgO layer through reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) pattern monitoring and analysis. The other is for composition control of a superconducting layer through surface color observation and control of metal source evaporation rates. By applying the above two methods, we achieved in-plane texture of about 4.8 ° in the MgO layer, as measured by FWHM of phi-scan of (220) peak, and the critical current of 750 A/12 mm width in the GdBCO layer along the length of more than 650 m, with excellent uniformity.</P>

        온열과 간헐 단식요법의 병행이 인체의 비만에 미치는 영향

        간헐 단식과 주열요법을 병행하여 비만에 관련된 연구를 하는 것이 목적이었다. 두 요법을 35명을 대상으로 11간 씩 2회를 실시하였다. 대상자들의 허리둘레, 체중, 체질량지수의 변화, 신체지방비율, 복부내장지방과 기초대사량의 사전 사 후의 변화를 연구하였고, 상기 각 항목의 평균 검사치는 요법 실시 전 조사한 C그룹과 1단계 단식(11일 간) 후 조사한 S1그룹 및 2단계 단식(11일 간) 후 조사한 S2그룹과의 감소차이를 조사하였으며, 그 결과는 유의성이 있었고, S1과 S2의 감소차이도 유의성이 있었다. 기초대사량은 S1과 S2의 차이는 유의성이 없었다. 상기의 모든 항목에서 그룹 내 및 간에도 유의성이 있었 고, 서로 상관관계가 있었다. 결론적으로 상기 병행 요법이 비만의 수준을 낮추는 효과가 1차 보다는 2차 단식 후에는 더 높았다. 따라서 상기 병행요법이 자연치유의 요법으로 활용의 가치가 있다고 판단한다. The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of the concurrent thermotherapy and intermittent fasting therapy for obesity. The experimental therapy conducted at the same time for 11 days, and had 35 adult participants. Six variables(girth, body weight, body mass index, body fat ratio, abdominal fat, and body basal metabolic rate) of participants were measured initially before the experimental therapy, and respectively after two consecutive experimental therapies (S1 and S2). The differences between the averages of the six variables in the initial measurement (C group), S1 group, and S2 group are significant and correlate each other. The differences between variables also were significant within groups and between groups. Additionally, the results show that the effectiveness of the therapy was greater after the 2nd therapy than the 1st therapy. In conclusion, these findings suggest that the concurrent therapy is effective and useful as a natural healing therapy for obesity.

      • Fabrication and Characterization of 3-T/102-mm RT Bore Magnet Using 2nd Generation (2G) HTS Wire With Conducting Cooling Method

        <P>A conduction-cooled high-temperature superconducting magnet using 2nd generation HTS wire, which has a room-temperature bore 102 mm in diameter, has been developed and tested up to 3 T with the operating temperature of 20 K. The magnet consists of 22 double pancake coils (DPCs) with an inner diameter of 140 mm and outer diameter of 182 mm. Twenty-two double pancake coils were tested separately at 77 K for checking the <I>IV</I>-curve. Selected DPCs were resistively connected by HTS tape (Splice joint), and an assembled magnet coil with the size of 182.5 mm diameter and 242 mm in height was conduction cooled by a two-stage Gifford-McMahon cryo-cooler to 20 K. Current, voltage, and field strength were measured as a function of time with various ramping up and down conditions. The resulting performance data of the assembled magnet agreed well with the expectation from FEM simulation. The aimed field homogeneity of 0.1% in 10 mm diameter sphere volume was proved when operating current was 141.6 A at 20 K with central magnetic field intensity of 2.9975 T by hall sensor. The magnetic flux density at center showed nonlinear dependence with ramping current within the range of 0.05 A/sec ~0.15 A/sec because of charging delay. However, saturated magnetic flux density showed the same value of 2.9975 T regardless of ramping rate.</P>

        Fabrication and Characterization of 4-T/203 mm RT Bore 2G HTS Magnet With No-Insulation Method

        <P>We fabricated superconducting magnet using second-generation (2G) high-temperature superconducting wire by SuNAM. Magnetic field strength at the center is 4 T, and room temperature bore diameter is 203 mm. The magnet consists of 30 double pancake coils (DPCs) with the inner diameter of 245 mm and outer diameter of 297 mm. All double pancakes were wound by no-insulation method and performance were tested separately before assemble. Tested DPCs were resistively connected by HTS tape(splice joint), and assembled coil was conduction cooled by a two-stage Gifford-McMahon cryo-cooler to the operating temperature of 8 K. The size of magnet is 452 mm in height. Current, voltage, and field strength were measured as a function of time with various ramping up and down conditions and results were compared with the simulated behavior. The coil generates 4 T when operating current ramped to 205 A by 0.03 A/s without quench. Initial cool down time was 72 h and the measure field homogeneity in 10 mm DSV was 0.015% and 0.012% in radial axis and vertical axis, respectively. The results showed that no-insulation winding method is a possible option for making compact magnet coil with sufficient structural integrity, thermal and electrical stability at the same time. The magnet showed quench at field strength of 4.49 T when ramped with 0.2 A/s to 235 A. The magnet showed same performance after recovery from quench.</P>
