Background: Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) is the most common thyroid dysfunction, and its relationship with blood pressure(BP) has been controversial. The aim of the study was to analyze the association between SCH and newly-diagnosed hypertension. Methods: Based on data from the Thyroid disease, Iodine nutrition and Diabetes Epidemiology (TIDE) study, 49,433 euthyroid individuals and 7,719 SCH patients aged ≥18 years were enrolled. Patients with a history of hypertension or thyroid disease were excluded. SCH was determined by manufacturer reference range. Overall hypertension and stage 1 and 2 hypertension were diagnosedaccording to the guidelines issued by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association in 2017. Results: The prevalence of overall hypertension (48.7%), including stage 1 (28.9%) and 2 (19.8%) hypertension, increased significantly in SCH patients compared with euthyroid subjects. With elevated serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) level, the hypertension prevalence also increased significantly from the euthyroid to different SCH subgroups, which was more profound in femalesor subjects aged <65 years. The age- and sex-specific regression analysis further demonstrated the same trends in the general population and in the 1:1 propensity matched population. Similarly, several BP components (i.e., systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial BP)were positively associated with TSH elevation, and regression analysis also confirmed that all BP components were closely relatedwith SCH in female subjects aged <65 years. Conclusion: The prevalence of hypertension increases for patients with SCH. SCH tends to be associated with hypertension and BPcomponents in females younger than 65 years.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to sort out the construction of environmental social responsibility at home and abroad, analyze the logical relationship between the construction of environmental social responsibility and the sustainable development of the golf industry, and come to the conclusion that we should speed up the construction of environmental social responsibility of enterprises and form a green health industry chain with a full life cycle. Design/Methodology/Approach – Based the on the SWOT analysis method, based on the internal and external environment and conditions, draws a series of corresponding conclusions or strategies through investigation, research, arrangement and combination of various main inner strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats closely related to the research object. Findings – This paper studies, Through SWOT analysis, the strategic measures for the sustainable development of Chinese golf from the perspective of environmental and social responsibility are obtained. Research Implications – In the management of this paper, This study makes China’s golf industry consider environmental and social benefits and realize the synergy and unity of economic, environmental, and social benefits. China’s golf industry’s sustainable development direction and innovation path have certain practical significance.

Obtaining the optimum integration of design policies is the target in net-zero energy buildings. This is designed to solve the energy operation problems in a specific building. A multi-objective optimization method is proposed in this paper for net-zero energy building operation optimization to achieve the best design solution among Pareto set solutions. This method is based on simulation and includes simulation of the building, optimization, multi-criteria decision-making approach, and sensitivity analysis to confirm the validity of the optimum results. Some cases of Italy with various climatic conditions are selected to be investigated in terms of the cost-efficiency potential to optimize the net-zero energy building design. To improve this design and to help decision-making in the early design steps of the building, the presented method can be efficient. For the minimization of the electrical, and thermal demands and also life cycle costs while obtaining net-zero energy balance, an optimization algorithm called African Vulture Optimization Algorithm is proposed. Also, to achieve an optimum solution, the Elimination and Choice Expressing the Reality method is used in the Pareto set. Based on the best design variables and their related objective functions, in comparison to the base case, the yearly thermal loads lowered from 18.9 to 33.5% by optimum designs, and the solar domestic hot water electrical power use lowered up to 7.6% and the life cycle cost is decreased up to 14.7%.

As China’s economy is growing at a moderate speed in the midst of the new normalization of the global economy, the seriousness of the problem of income disparity between urban and rural areas in China has not been eased quite a bit. China’s income gap between rural and urban areas was over three times in the mid-2010s. This is a very serious level when compared internationally. Most of preceding studies covers the entire China with using data before 2010, whereas this study analyzes data from 1979 to 2016 for Jilin Province. Empirical results show that GDP growth rate, foreign trade dependence, and finance development scale are found to have a statistically significant positive influence on income disparity between urban and rural areas. On the other hand, the level of urbanization is found to be statistically insignificant. Regression analysis shows that GDP growth rate is the factor that has the greatest influence on the income disparity between urban and rural areas; the second most influential one is the foreign trade dependence, and then being followed by the finance development scale. The finding that the influence of the level of urbanization is not statistically significant is suggesting that the Chinese government’s policy of expanding urbanization, which is being pursued strategically and largely, may not have a significant effect on the reduction of the income gap. In other words, it is difficult to bring down the income gap only with urbanization policies that do not comprehensively consider other influencing factors.

This paper proposes the robust model predictive control of positive time-delay systems with interval andpolytopic uncertainties, respectively. The model predictive control framework consists of linear constraint, linearperformance index, linear Lyapunov function, linear programming algorithm, and cone invariant set. By virtue ofmatrix decomposition technique, robust model predictive controllers of interval and polytopic positive systems withmultiple state delays are designed, respectively. A multi step control strategy is utilized and a cone invariant set isconstructed. Linear programming is used for the corresponding MPC conditions. Finally, a numerical example isgiven to verify the effectiveness of the proposed design.
Modelling of effective irradiation swelling for inert matrix fuels

The results of effective irradiation swelling in a wide range of burnup levels are numerically obtained for an inert matrix fuel, which are verified with DART model. The fission gas swelling of fuel particles is calculated with a mechanistic model, which depends on the external hydrostatic pressure. Additionally, irradiation and thermal creep effects are included in the inert matrix. The effects of matrix creep strains, external hydrostatic pressure and temperature on the effective irradiation swelling are investigated. The research results indicate that (1) the above effects are coupled with each other; (2) the matrix creep effects at high temperatures should be involved; and (3) ranged from 0 to 300 MPa, a remarkable dependence of external hydrostatic pressure can be found. Furthermore, an explicit multi-variable mathematic model is established for the effective irradiation swelling, as a function of particle volume fraction, temperature, external hydrostatic pressure and fuel particle fission density, which can well reproduce the finite element results. The mathematic model for the current volume fraction of fuel particles can help establish other effective performance models.

The main theme of this paper is to propose a novel peak current mode control method to reduce the loss of phase-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) converter under light load condition. The proposed control method can adjust the switching frequency of the converter to keep the on-time of switches fixed. According to the loss analysis model in discontinuous current mode operation, the switching frequency is proportional to load current and the efficiency is independent from the load. Moreover, the small signal model of the PSFB converter with the proposed control method is presented. A digital-controlled experimental system is set up. The proposed method is investigated and confirmed by experimental results. Experimental results show that the efficiency and dynamic performance can be improved. These results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

The existence, uniqueness and iterative approximations of fixed points for some contractive mappings of integral type defined in complete metric spaces with w-distance are proved. Four examples are given to demonstrate that the results in this paper extend and improve some well-known results in the literature.
