        The present study developed a breathing meditation program for neurotic high school students and examined the effects of the program on neurotic high school students' anger and attachment. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the breathing meditation program had positive effects in easing the anger of highschool students with a neurotic tendency. Second, the breathing meditation program was found to be effective in relieving the attachment of high school students with a neurotic tendency. In addition, the present study examined through qualitative analysis which of the contents of breathing meditation work positively or dysfunctionally. The results of analysis on what experiences of breathing meditation relieve neurotic symptoms, anger and attachment are as follows. First, in the early stage of breathing meditation (session 1-3), the subjects were sensitive to the rise and wane of physical feelings. Second, during breathing meditation, the subjects recognized latent emotions deeper and longer and were highly sensitive to negative emotions (sorrow, pains, fear, attachment, etc.) and positive emotions (peace, purification, happiness, generosity, thankfulness, the feeling of being healed, etc.). Third, from the cognitive aspect, the subjects came to have an observer's view to look at problems from a distance and, as a result, they could understand and contemplate(improved concentration, breaking away from fear of death, separation of the body and mind from myself, disappearance of attachment to and anger over an object, off.) and some of them had transcendental experiences (seeing light, feeling of purification, dreamy experience, etc.). Fourth, as the subjects had personal training of meditation tasks in their everyday life, positive behavioral changes (confidence, determinedness, power of execution, generosity and brightness, smiling, etc.) were observed. Implications of this study based on its results as presented above are as follows. First, this study organized groups considering the psychological characteristics of highschool students with a neurotic tendency by supplementing the limitation of previous research. Second, this study developed a program by revising and supplementing therapeutic methods in accordance with the subjects' level and demand, considering that the subjects were high school students with neurotic tendency. Previous researches utilized a part or the whole of existing systematized meditation methods In their meditation programs. Such methods, however, were for adults, patients or religious trainees, they were not applicable to the adolescent subjects of this study, Thus, a new program was developed in accordance with the psychological characteristics and level of neurotic high school students. Third, in order to investigate the continuancy of effects after completing the experiment, this study carried out not only a post test but also a follow-up test. The long-term management and maintenance of remedial effects is an issue spotlighted in recent psychology (Kim Gye-hyeon, 2000). Thus the result of the follow-up test may provide data on the effects of experiments and researches on adolescents. Fourth, different from existing meditation programs, this study developed a program integrating physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioral factors. In addition, physical relaxation and cognitive approach, which are therapeutic factors proved to be effective in previous research, were also integrated into the program in order to bring forth changes in behavior and attitude through training and practice in everyday life. Fifth, considering that there have been few domestic researches on meditation related to the treatment of anger and attachment, this study provided a starting point of a therapeutic approach to meditation for the treatment of anger and attachment. What is more, a self-healing method was suggested, with which individuals can deal with anger and attachment through meditation.

      • 光波長이 오이(Cucumis sativus L.) 플러그苗의 生長에 미치는 影響

        This research was carried to find out the optimum artificial light condition for plug seedling production of high quality cucumber through investigating growth response of the seedling by both light wave length and treatment period. The treatment with blue and red fluorescent lamp increased the fresh weight involving hypocotyl and root and controlled the elongation of hypocotyl, compared with other treatments. The 30-day-old seedling treatment with blue and red light for 12 hours showed that vegetative growth including root, stem and leaves was better than that of seedling treated with other lamps. Seedling under blue and red light for 12 hours grew 60.0mm and 0.55g in length and weight of hypocotyl. respectively, Hypocotyl length and weight were 44.9mm and 0.62g when seedling was grown under above light condition for 6 hours. Total chlorophyll contents of hypocotyl were highest in the light mixing treatment, and this accelerated greening. Morphological characteristics by investigating cross and longitudinal section of 30-day-old cucumber seedling treated with the mixing fluorescent lamps indicated that epidrmis tissues were usually single layer and thicker, resulting in small, compact and non-intercellular spaces of cells. On the other hand, epidermis tissues of the control composed of large, longer and round cells and cortex tissues showed large intercellular spaces between cells. Longitudinal section of photo-treated hypocotyl showed that there were more shorter cells and non-intercellular spaces of cells than untreated tissues. As a result, blue and red light mixing treatment controled the cell elongation of seedling hypocotyl, resulting in shortening hypocotyl of cucumber seedling.

        Effects of Mixed Gas in Active MA Packaging on Marketability Maintenance at Simulated Tomato Fruits Marketing

        Respiration rate and ethylene production at high oxygen treatment (CO₂:O₂:N₂ ratio=0:30:70 and 0:50:50) in active MA packaging of tomato were relatively greater than air (control) or low oxygen treatment(CO₂:O₂:N₂ ratio=0:10:90 and 6:2:92). Ethanol production of low oxygen treatment was higher than high oxygen one. Acetaldehyde production was high at low oxygen treatment on the first storage day, but it was sharply decreased compared with high oxygen treatment. The effect of active MA packaging on weight loss, sugar, and ascorbic acid was insignificant. Marketability was maintained for three days in case of high oxygen treatment, and more coloration was accelerated in high oxygen treatment than in low oxygen one.

        지역중심 영재교육 지원 시스템 모델

        최근 십여 년 간, 국가 영재교육 진흥정책에 따라 영재교육기관과 대상자의 수가 매년 급증하고 있으나, 이러한 국내의 양적 확산만큼 내실있는 교육과정과 유관기관 간의 연계체계를 갖추고 있지 못하다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 국내 지역별 영재교육 연계현황과 요구를 조사하여 수평적 연계의 주요 문제점을 파악하고, 국·내외 모범 연계사례 발굴과 영재교육 전문가 델파이 조사를 통해 지역중심 영재교육 지원 시스템 구축을 위한 모델과 시스템 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구결과, 영재교육 유관기관 간의 연계 시스템 구축을 위하여 16개 시·도별로 허브 역할을 수행할 거점기관을 지정하고 운영할 필요성이 제기되었다. 이러한 각 지역의 거점기관은 교육청과 지역 내 대학부설 과학영재교육원과의 관계를 개선하고, 지역사회 자원을 연계·활용하는 다양한 교육프로그램의 개발과 보급이 이루어질 수 있도록 기관 간의 연계 및 조정 역할을 담당하게 된다. 본 연구는 이에 따른 거점기관의 주요기능과 인력구조, 예산 등에 관한 기본 안을 제안하고, 전국단위의 단계별 지원 시스템 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다. Over the recent decade, Korean educational policies promoting gifted and talented education have increased the number of gifted education institutions and their beneficiaries. However, the quantitative increase has not been fully accompanied by quality educational programs and supportive networked systems for the gifted. Hence, this study analyzes the current networks of gifted education institutions in a city or county, and investigates teachers' demands for system change. Also, by collecting exemplary cases of institutional collaborations, and experts' opinions on system models, this research aims at proposing a modeling system for regional community-based gifted education and the strategies for building this system throughout the nation. The results of this study show the need for a hub institution that connects and supports gifted education institutions in each of the sixteen cities or counties. This hub will need to mediate between the City Board of Education and the college that runs gifted education programs within the region, and help develop institutional partnerships among related institutions for the gifted so that they can collaborate to improve their educational programs and practices in both quality and diversity. Accordingly, this study draws on the hub's major roles, organization, and budgets, and suggests the strategies for building the modeling system step-by-step throughout the nation.

        석유대체자원을 이용하여 항공유의 제조기술 연구를 수행하고 있는데, 핵심 연구분야인 크게 3분야로 바이오매스, 석탄, 천연가스등으로부터 얻어진 합성가스를 제조하기 위한 전처리 제조분야, 이러한 정제된 합성가스를 사용하여 피셔트롭스(Fischer-Tropsh) 반응단계를 거쳐 탄화수소를 제조하는 단계, 마지막으로 탄화수로부터 항공유에 적합한 upgrading기술인 크래킹(cracking) 및 이성화(isomerization) 반응단계로 구분된다. 본 발표에서는 국내외 연구동향 및 주요단계에 중점기술에 관해 언급하고자 한다. The research for production of jet fuel from petroleum displacement resources such as bio-mass, coal, natural gas mainly consists of three sub-research areas; the fisrt step is the pretreatment for producing a synthetic gas, and the next step is the Fischer-Trophsh reaction process for making hydrocarbons. The last is the upgrading technology for the hydrocarbons to fit a jet fuel specification via cracking and isomerization reactions. This talk presents reaserch trends and main technologies for production of jet fuel derived from petroleum displacement resources.
