        Maritime lien means a statutory security right with a priority to any other right to vessel and its adjuncts which admits a person having a specific maritime claim to be paid before any other creditors. maritime lien with a priority nat having a public notice may damage to the other creditors. And the ship's arrest for the enforcement of maritime lien may atop the ship's operation. So adjustment of the interest between the person concerned is requested. Maritime lien's recognition was found in the theory of procedural, personification, Conflict, and now in the special circumstances of the maritime corp., limitation of the ship owner's liability, public policy, causam pignoris facere etc. I will suggest some proposals to improve this subject in this paper.

        Burial depth of anode affected the bacterial community structure of sediment microbial fuel cells

        Sediment microbial fuel cells (SMFCs) are attractive devices to in situ power environmental monitoring sensors and bioremediate contaminated soils/sediments. Burial depth of the anode was verified to affect the performance of SMFCs. The present research evaluated the differences in microbial community structure of anodic biofilms located at different depth. It was demonstrated that both microbial diversity and community structure of anodic biofilms were influenced by the depth of anode location. Microbial diversity decreased with increased anodic depth. The number of the operational taxonomic units (OTUs) was determined as 1438 at the anode depth of 5 cm, which reduced to 1275 and 1005 at 10 cm and 15 cm, respectively. Cluster analysis revealed that microbial communities of 5 cm and 10 cm were clustered together, separated from the original sediment and 15 cm. Proteobacteria was the predominant phylum in all samples, followed by Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes. Beta- and Gamma-proteobacteria were the most abundant classes. A total of 23 OTUs showed high identity to 16S rRNA gene of exoelectrogens such as Geobacter and Pseudomonas. The present results provided insights into the effects of anode depth on the performance of SMFC from the perspectives of microbial community structure.

        K-doping effect of the superconductivity in K2xFeTe1-xSx (0.07 ≤ x ≤ 0.3)

        Bulk samples of K doping K2xFeTe1-xSx with x=0.07, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 are successfully prepared by using easy-to-use stable compound K2S as the reactant. The lattice constant calculated from X-ray diffraction patterns indicate that K ions enter the Fe-Te-S layers. K doping is beneficial enhance the superconductivity transition temperature from the R-T curves. The apparent diamagnetic signal is observed in M-T curves when the content of K is smaller than 0.1. However, differential curves (dM/dT) in K-rich samples appear sharp slope mutations, which means that the Meissner effect signal is covered by the increased excess ferromagnetic ions. The number of excess Fe magnetic ions is proportional to K content, which may play an important role in determining the superconductivity.

        Liquidity in Up and Down Markets for Asset Pricing: Evidence from the Taiwan Stock Market

        Using a sample of stocks listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange during 1991–2014, this study investigates the liquidity in up and down markets, which is important for understanding asset pricing. Firm-level original Amihud, Journal of Financial Markets, 5, 2002, 31. illiquidity is decomposed into two half-Amihud measures for up- and down-market days. First, we show that the ability of the down-market liquidity level to explain the cross-section of returns subsumes the up-market liquidity level. Second, only loadings on systematic down-market liquidity factors are significantly priced. Third, a liquidity risk factor constructed by the downmarket component, rather than the up-market component significantly explains the time-series and cross-sectional variation in returns sorted by firm size, suggesting that the liquidity risk factor associated with down-market days performs better in capturing the flight-toliquidity. Overall, the findings support the view that the liquidity in down markets plays a more important role in asset pricing than the liquidity in up markets.

        Advances of Hospice Palliative Care in Taiwan

        목적: 대만의 호스피스와 완화 의료는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. Economist Intelligence Unit에서 평가한 2015년 죽음의 질 지수 등급에서 대만은 아시아 국가 중에서 1위, 세계에서 6위를 기록했다. 이 리뷰 기사에서 우리는 성공에 기여한 것으로 보이는 세 영역, 즉 법률 및 규정, 영적 치료, 연구 네트워크에 주목하였다. 마지막으로 대만 사람에게 적용을 위한 미래의 도전과 전망에 대해 논의하기로 한다. 방법: PubMed에서 "대만의 호스피스 완화의료" 검색어를 이용해 체계적인 검토를 수행하였다. 결과: 2000년에 "자연사법"의 통과로 아시아에서 환자의 자기결정권에 대한 획기적인 본보기가 만들어지고 확립되었다. 이는 의료진에게 연명치료중지(DNR, do not resuscitate)를 요청할 수 있고 삶의 마지막에 기타 무의미한 의료 행위를 거부할 수 있는 환자의 권리를 보장하며 더불어 정책적 관점에서 완화의료의 중요성을 반영하는 것이다. 2015년에 대만은 "환자의 자기결정권 특별법"이라는 선구적인 법률을 통과시켰다. 이 법은 환자가 그/그녀의 자기의지에 따라 의료 행위를 거부할 수 있다는 것을 규정한다. 대만 고유의 영적 치료는 2000년에 도입되었는데, 불교 수행을 죽음에 직면한 환자에 적용하기 이전의 임상실습뿐 아니라 강의들로 구성된 훈련 프로그램을 성공적으로 이수하기 위해서는 불교 사제가 필요하다. 일본-한국-대만 연구 네트워크는 죽음의 과정을 자세히 설명(EASED, Elucidate the Dying process)하기 위한 동아시아 공동의 비교 문화 집단 연구를 위해 설립되었다. 결론: 대만에서의 호스피스와 완화의료는 정부와 사회의 우선적 합의에 따라 꾸준하게 성장하고 있다. Hospice and palliative care in Taiwan has been growing continuously. The 2015 Quality of Death index, as rated by the Economist Intelligence Unit, ranked Taiwan first among Asian countries and sixth in the world. In this review article, we highlight three particular areas that might have contributed to this success; the laws and regulations, spiritual care and research network. Finally, we discuss the future challenges and prospects for Taiwanese encounters. A systemic review was conducted with the keywords "hospice palliative care Taiwan" using PubMed. The passing of the "Natural Death Act" in 2000 set the example and established a landmark for patient autonomy in Asia; it guarantees the patient's right to request that medical staff do not resuscitate (DNR) them and to reject other futile medical treatments at the end of their life, thus reflecting the importance of palliative care from the policy perspective. In 2015, Taiwan passed another pioneering law entitled the "Patient Autonomy Act". This law states that a patient may decline medical treatment according to his/her own will. Taiwanese indigenous spiritual care was launched in 2000. It requires a Buddhist Chaplain to successfully complete a training program consisting of lectures, as well as bedside practicum before applying Buddhist practices to end-of-life care. The Japan-Korea-Taiwan research network was established for the purpose of enabling collaborative research for the East-Asian collaborative cross-cultural Study to Elucidate the Dying process (EASED) cohort. With consensus from the government and society to make it a priority, hospice and palliative medicine in Taiwan has been growing steadily.

      • Antitumor Activity of Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor Trichostatin A in Osteosarcoma Cells

        Background: Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors have been reported to induce cell growth arrest, apoptosis and differentiation of tumor cells. The present study aimed to examine the effects of trichostatin A (TSA), one such inhibitor, on the cell cycle, apoptosis and invasiveness of osteosarcoma cells. Methods: MG-63 cells were treated with TSA at various concentrations. Then, cell growth and apoptosis were determined by 3-(4, 5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) and TUNEL assays, respectively; cell cycling was assessed by flow cytometry; invasion assays were performed with the transwell Boyden Chamber system. Results: MTT assays revealed that TSA significantly inhibited the growth of MG-63 cells in a concentration and time dependent manner. TSA treated cells demonstrated morphological changes indicative of apoptosis and TUNEL assays revealed increased apoptosis of MG-63 cells after TSA treatment. Flow cytometry showed that TSA arrested the cell cycle in G1/G2 phase and annexin V positive apoptotic cells increased markedly. In addition, the invasiveness of MG-63 cells was inhibited by TSA in a concentration dependent manner. Conclusion: Our findings demonstrate that TSA inhibits the proliferation, induces apoptosis and inhibits invasiveness of osteosarcoma cells in vitro. HDAC inhibitors may thus have promise to become new therapeutic agents against osteosarcoma.

        Effects of Yarrowia lipolytica supplementation on growth performance, intestinal health and apparent ileal digestibility of diets fed to nursery pigs

        Objective: The objective was to evaluate the efficacy of increasing supplementation of Yarrowia lipolytica (YL) up to 3.0% replacing 1.6% poultry fat and 0.9% blood plasma for growth performance, intestinal health and nutrient digestibility of diets fed to nursery pigs. Methods: Twenty-four pigs weaned at 24 d of age (initial body weight at 7.2±0.6 kg) were allotted to three dietary treatments (n = 8) based on the randomized complete block. The diets with supplementation of YL (0.0%, 1.5%, and 3.0%, replacing poultry fat and blood plasma up to 1.6% and 0.9%, respectively) were fed for 21 d. Feed intake and body weight were recorded at d 0, 10, and 21. Fecal score was recorded at every odd day from d 3 to 19. Pigs were euthanized on d 21 to collect proximal and distal jejunal mucosa to measure intestinal health markers including tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-8, immunoglobulin A and immunoglobulin G. Ileal digesta was collected for apparent ileal digestibility (AID) of nutrients in diets. Data were analyzed using Proc Mixed of SAS. Results: Supplementation of YL (1.5% and 3.0%) replacing poultry fat and blood plasma did not affect growth performance, fecal score and intestinal health. Supplementation of YL at 1.5% did not affect nutrient digestibility, whereas supplementation of YL at 3.0% reduced AID of dry matter (40.2% to 55.0%), gross energy (44.0% to 57.5%), crude protein (52.1% to 66.1%), and ether extract (50.8% to 66.9%) compared to diets without supplementation. Conclusion: Yarrowia lipolytica can be supplemented at 1.5% in nursery diets, replacing 0.8% poultry fat and 0.45% blood plasma without affecting growth performance, intestinal health and nutrient digestibility. Supplementation of YL at 3.0% replacing 1.6% poultry fat and 0.9% blood plasma did not affect growth performance and intestinal health, whereas nutrient digestibility was reduced.         The selective melatonin receptor agonism effect of ramelteon is useful for insomnia. Here we wanted to present a refractory chronic migraine case, who had significant improvements in migraine after using ramelteon. The possible mechanism for the ramelteon in the migraine relief might be related to melatonin effects.

        Optimal Speed Tracking of Freight Trains Combined with Segmented Soft-Switching Control

        Smoothness of travel speed and stopping accuracy are important for freight trains. However, due to the large mass of freight trains, their driving speed is easy to jitter at the operating condition switching point. For these purposes, this paper designs a Dual Mode Optimal Control (DMOC) for tracking the target travel speed of freight trains. This controller contains two sub-controllers, Adaptive Model Predictive Control (AMPC) and Preview control (PC). An Elman Neural Network (ENN) is incorporated in AMPC to adjust the control weights of MPC in real time to output the optimal driving speed. The Afnity propagation-Fast-minimum covariance determinant algorithm, combined in ENN identifes the noisy samples in the training samples and improves the ftting efect of the network. PC and AMPC are fused together by a soft-switching control method. The soft switching control method based on Tanh function can achieve smooth switching of controllers and obtain a good control efect. By comparing with active disturbance rejection control and fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative under two speed profles, DMOC can efectively reduce the speed jitter of speed tracking, improve the stopping accuracy and timeliness of freight trains, and reduce energy consumption.

        Late-onset Quetiapine-related Tardive Dyskinesia Side Effects in a Patient with Psychotic Depression

        The atypical antipsychotics were believed to induce less extrapyramidal syndrome, including tardive dyskinesia (TD). Since theintroduction of the quetiapine, it is also reported with less TD side effects. It even can relieve the symptoms of severe TD andreduce the risk of TD. The quetiapine’s low affinity and fast dissociation from postsynaptic dopamine D2 receptors should givethe least risk of producing the symptoms of TD. The quetiapine even can reduce the TD side effects related to clozapine, whichhas the lowest risk for TD. However, since the first case report of TD side effects related to quetiapine published on 1999,the safety of quetiapine in TD aspect has been questioned. Therefore, we want to share this case report, which was writtento describe the severe late-onset TD side effects after long-term use of quetiapine in a patient with psychotic depression. Thepatient had no significant findings after concurrent comprehensive neurological examinations, magnetic resonance imaging ofbrain and electroencephalogram since the onset of TD.
