Healthcare System using Pegged Blockchain considering Scalability and Data Privacy

The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices have greatly influenced many industries and one of them is healthcare where wearable devices started to track all your daily activities for better health monitoring accuracy and even down to tracking daily food intake in some cases. With the amounts of data that are being tracked and shared between from these devices, questions were raised on how to uphold user's data privacy when data is shared between these IoT devices and third party. With the blockchain platforms started to mature since its inception, the technology can be implemented according to a variety of use case scenarios. In this paper, we present a system architecture based on the healthcare system and IoT network by leveraging on multiple blockchain networks as the medium in between that should enable users to have direct authority on data accessibility of their shared data. We provide proof of concept implementation and highlight the results from our testing to show how the efficiency and scalability of the healthcare system improved without having a significant impact on the performance of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) that mostly affected by the previous solution since these solutions directly connected to a public blockchain network and which resulted in significant delays and high cost of operation when a large amount of data or complicated functions are involved.
Role of co-expression of estrogen receptor beta and Ki67 in prostate adenocarcinoma

Purpose: To evaluate the expression of estrogen receptor (ER)-beta and Ki67 in prostate cancer and study their relationship. Materials and Methods: We analyzed 101 cases of prostate adenocarcinoma diagnosed from January 2011 to June 2015 in 100 patients. Immunohistochemical staining of ER-beta and Ki67 was analyzed according to Gleason score categorized into prognostic groups of 1 to 5. Double-immunofluorescent staining of ER-beta and Ki67 was performed in a total of 20 cases to study the co-expression and the relationship between these markers within the same tumor. Results: A total of 53 of 101 cases (52.5%) were positive for ER-beta expression. There was a positive correlation whereby a high percentage of ER-beta expression was seen in the higher prognostic groups (groups 4 and 5; p=0.007). High Ki67 expression was observed in the higher prognostic group, whereas low Ki67 or negative expression was found in the lower prognostic group (p<0.001). The majority of cases evaluated with double-immunofluorescent staining (14/20) showed co-expression of ER-beta and Ki67 at the individual cell level. Conclusions: ER-beta and Ki67 are independent tumor markers in high prognostic groups. Hence, co-expression of ER-beta and Ki67 indicates a more aggressive tumor with a poorer prognosis.

The damage of concrete due to the expansion of alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR) and thermal-chemical reactions affecting the strength of concrete is studied. The empirical equations for the variations of expansion of AAR, compressive strength and degradation of the modulus of elasticity with time, and compressive strength with degradation of the modulus of elasticity are proposed by analysing numerous experimental data. It is revealed that the expansion of AAR and compressive strength increase with time. The proposed combination of the time variations of chemical and mechanical parameters provides a satisfactory prediction of the concrete strength. Seismic analysis of the aged Koyna dam is conceded for two different long-term experimental data of concrete incorporating the proposed AAR based properties. The responses of aged Koyna dam reveal that the crest displacement of the Koyna dam significantly increases with time while the contour plots show that major principal stress at neck level reduces with time. As the modulus of elasticity decreases with ages the stress generated in the concrete structure get reduces. On the other hand with lesser value of modulus of elasticity the structure becomes more flexible and the crest displacement becomes very high that cause the seismic safety of the dam reduce.
ELECTROCHEMICAL SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF DIFFERENT MORPHOLOGIES NANORAMSDELLITE-MnO2

In this work manganese dioxide (Ramsdellite-MnO2) was synthesized at room temperature using a facile electrochemical method. X-ray di®raction (XRD) was used to identify the type and the size of the crystal particle, while ¯eld emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and energy ¯ltered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM) were used to show and identify the morphology of the particles and changes of their morphologies with the increase of reaction times. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy con¯rmed the Mn?O bond. Results from XRD showed that optimum time for synthesis Ramsdellite-MnO2 was 9 h. The results of EFTEM showed a mixture of nanospheres and nanorods after 9 h reaction time while a homogenous morphology of nanospheres was detected at 12 h reaction time. Results con¯rmed on the existence of a correlation between the reaction time and the resulting nanostructures. Moreover, the EFTEM result showed that average particle size for 12 h was (25 ? 7nm). The variation of calculated speci¯c capacitance (F/g) versus the di®erent scan rate has indicated that the e±-ciency of synthesized Ramsdellite-MnO2 nanostructures in 12 h reaction time was superior to 9 h.

<P>UV-irradiation of aqueous suspensions of amino acid-derived amphiphilic diacetylene supramolecules promotes a process that involves initial formation of species that absorb at 640 nm followed by the generation of polymers that have longer wavelength (686 nm) absorbance. The initially formed intermediate polydiacetylenes display substantial colorimetric reversibility while the long wavelength absorbing polymers show irreversible thermochromism during heating and cooling cycles. Growth Opportunities, Capital Structure and Dividend Policy in Emerging Market: Indonesia Case Study

The objective of the study is to investigate the effect of growth opportunities on capital structure and dividend policy in Indonesia. The study employs panel data of companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange that distribute dividends from 2007 to 2017. Fixed and random effect regression models are used. Findings based on growth opportunities on capital structure and dividend policy in Indonesia are in line with the existing theory (i.e., contracting theory). Growth opportunities have a significant negative correlation with debt ratio and dividend yield, which suggests that firms with high growth opportunities are discouraged to generate debt to resolve underinvestment and asset-substitution problem. Firms with more investment opportunities tend to adopt a low dividend payout policy because the cash flows will be used up for investment. The positive impact of firm size on leverage is due to the low bankruptcy risk and cost of a large company. Profitability has a positive impact on the dividend policy because profitable companies can reserve larger free cash flows and, thus, pay higher dividends. The positive influence of ownership on leverage is interpreted by the unwillingness of majority stockholders to commit to equity financing in order to avoid reducing the ownership and preserve control of the company.

A rapid quantitative measurement of accumulated polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) is essential for rapid monitoring of PHA production by microorganisms. In the present study, a 96-well microplate was used as a high throughput means to measure the fluorescence intensity of the Nile red stained cells containing PHA. The linear correlation obtained between intracellular PHA concentration and the fluorescence intensity represents the potential of the Nile red method employment to determine PHA concentration. The optimal ranges of excitation and emission wavelengths were determined using bacterial cells containing different types of PHAs, of different co-monomers and compositions. Interestingly, in spite of different co-monomers compositions in each PHA, all tested PHAs fluoresced maximally at excitation wavelength between 520 and 550 nm,and emission wavelength between 590 and 630 nm. The developed staining method also had successfully demonstrated a good correlation between the amount of accumulated PHA based on the fluorescence intensity measurements and that from chromatographic analysis to evaluate poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)], poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB-co-4HB)], poly(3-hydroxybutyrateco-3-hydroxyvalerate) [P(3HB-co-3HV)] and poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate)[P(3HB-co-3HV-co-4HB)], using the same calibration curve,despite of different co-monomers that the PHA consist. Strongly supported by these experimental results, it can therefore be concluded that the developed staining method can be efficiently applied for rapid monitoring of PHA production.
