This study was performed to study utilization of separated carbohydrates as well as separation, following analysis of the major components and separation of the carbohydrates in waste liquors of SP, KP, ASAM and AS. The result can be summerized as follows; Inorganic contents in waste liquors increase in this order AS$lt;KP$lt;ASAM $lt;SP. And lignin contents increased in this order : AS$lt;ASAM$lt;KP$lt;SP. Carbohydrate content in the waste liquor shows that AS waste liquor was the highest and SP waste liquor the lowest and those are assumed that the most carbohydrates are modified. Carbohydrate analysis shows that glucose content on the Quercus mongolica was much higher than other wood species. Separation of carbohydrates and lignins is very effective in AS waste liquor. SP waste liguor can be used as a medium additive for mushroom cultivation considering its powerful effect. In the AS waste liquor, waste cooking agent was suitable to recover by the distillation. And wood components was separated by simple treatment. It is possible to produce alditol because of plentiful carbohydrate amount on the waste liquor.

Extracts from sawdust of Pinus densiflora were showed antifungal activity against Lentinula edodes. It was extracted by hot water and then successively extracted by n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The yields of the n-hexane-soluble, ethyl acetate- soluble, methanol-soluble and methanol-insoluble fractions of water extracts were 8.2%, 10.6%, 32.0%, and 49.2%, respectively. The ethyl acetate-soluble fraction showed the greatest antifungal activity against L. edodes: 41.5% inhibition at 1,000 ppm. However, there were not significant differences of antifungal activities between n-hexane-soluble fraction and methanol-soluble fraction at a concentration of 1,000 ppm. The hot water extracts showed 23.5% of antifungal activity against L. edodes at a concentration of 1000 ppm. The four antifungal compounds were separated from ethyl acetate fraction by thin layer chromatography.

This research was studied dissolving pulp for rayon production. which is not KP, SP methods but steam·explosion and oxygen·alkali treatment. The variation of characterization in wood cellulose after steam·explosion and oxygen·alkali treatment this follows. In the oxygen·alkali treatment of exploded pine wood. yield of dissolving pulp was lower than steam-exploded oak wood, and we have obtained dissolving pulp that high purity cellulose, but degree of polymerization was inclined to decrease less than 200. In the case of steam-exploded oak wood. degree of polymerization was higher than steam-exploded pine wood but purity of cellulose was lower than its.
