        휴대용 의료 초음파 프로브 적용을 위한 압전체 제조 및 특성

        Ultrasound imaging by using piezoelectric materials, such as lead zirconium titanate (PZT) has been one of the most preferred modes of imaging in the medical field due to its simple, low cost and non-ionizing radiation in comparison to other imaging techniques. Recently, the market demand for portable ultrasound is becoming larger with applications in developing countries, disaster area, military, and emergency purposes. However, most of ultrasound probes used is bulky and high power consumable, so unsuitable for such applications. In this study, the 3 layered ceramic specimen consisted of 128 pitches of $420{\mu}m$ in width and $450{\mu}m$ in thickness were prepared by using the Ti-rich PZT compositions co-fired at $1,050^{\circ}C$. Their electrical and ultrasound pulse-echo properties were investigated and compared to the single layer specimen. The 3 layered ultrasound probe showed 1.584 V of Vp-p, which is 3.2 times higher than single layered one, implying that it would allow effectively such a portable ultrasound probe system. The result were discussed in terms of higher capacitance, lower impedance and higher dielectric coefficient of the 3 layered ultrasound probe.

        고전압 전력케이블 절연체 응용을 위한 임팩트 폴리프로필렌 기반 3성분계 블렌드의 기계적 및 전기적 특성에 대한 연구

        Polypropylene (PP) has been received great attention as a next-generation high-voltage power cable insulation material that can replace cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). However, the PP cannot be used alone as an insulation material because of its high elastic modulus and vulnerability to impact, and thus is mainly utilized as a form of a copolymer with rubber phases included in the polymerization step. In this paper, a soft PP-based blend was prepared through melt-mixing of impact PP, polyolefin elastomer, and propylene-ethylene random copolymer. The elastic modulus and impact strength of the blend could properly be decreased or increased, respectively, by introducing elastomeric phases. Furthermore, the blends showed a high storage modulus even at a temperature of 100℃ or higher at which the XLPE loses its mechanical properties. In addition, the blend was found to be effective in suppressing the space charge compared to the pristine PP as well as XLPE.

        Make-up작품 전달 매체의 확장성

        매체는 예술작품과 표현활동이 의미소통 의 수단과정이라고 본다면, 그 매개인자가 되는 기술적 보조수단과 물질적인 표현수 단을 일차적을 매체라고 정의할 수 있다. 메이크업은 인간의 신체를 가장 기본 소 재로 하는 특성으로 인해 신체에 제작된 작품은 항상 일회적이며, 원작의 보존성이 없는 한계를 가지고 있다. 이런 특성을 가 진 메이크업의 작품 표현의 한계점을 극복 하는데는 다양한 작품전달 매체를 개발이 중요한 요소이다. 메이크업 작품은 주로 공공장소 등에서 열리는 퍼포먼스 형식으로 만들어졌고, 그 뒤 사진으로 기록하여 작품 전시나 자료를 보관하고 있다. 그러므로 그것들은 그 자체 가 작품으로 인정하기 어렵다. 이미 신체에 행해진 메이크업 작품들은 발표가 끝난 후 깨끗이 지워져 원본은 소멸되기 때문이다. 메이크업 작품의 원본성 문제와 전시 형태로서의 한계점을 다소 보안하기 위한 방안으로 포토샵과 영상콘텐츠를 활용을 모색 해 보았다. 결과적으로 디지털 아트와 영상콘텐츠의 등장은 아트메이크업 분야에서도 커다란 변화를 가져왔다. 첫째, 인체에 단순히 페인팅하거나 치장되어졌던메이크업의 표현의 제한성을 극복하게 되며, 둘째, 그에 따라 기존의 전통 적인 미의 관념에서 벗어난 자유롭고 주관 적인 개성 표현과 미적 가치를 만들어 낼 수 있게 되었으며, 셋째, 인간의 신체를 소 재로 한다는 점에서 일회성일 수밖에 없던 한계점의 확대를 구축해주고 있어, 메이크업을 미디어 아트로까지의 전달매체 영역 확장 가능성도 모색할 수 있다. The appearance of digital art and mobile-image contents has brought a huge change to the field of art makeup. That makes it possible to have the range of expression boundless and to let artists express what`s in their mind in a more liberal, subjective, individual and aesthetic manner without sticking to existing conventional consciousness of beauty. What`s more, that has cleared the way for ex tending the scope of art makeup, while in the past the durability of makeup works was restricted as the object of this area is the human body. Frank Popper said that technology is the very method to create modern art works, and Marshall Mcluhan viewed a vehicle as a message. They had something in common in that they accentuated the imp otance of method in modern art. However, the former gave more weight to techno logy, whereas the latter attached more importance to message. If their arguments are incorporated, a new formula is generat ed: technology = method (vehicle) = message. In the area of makeup, a vehicle is also like a vocabulary, vessel, tool or music al instrument in or through which artists represent their artistry. Artists should apply a unique formative language into it di electically to create the type of communication that could further the social function of art.

      • 메이크업의 심벌리즘에 관한 연구

        When theories of makeup and its symbolicity were reviewed, there appeared several types of symbolic characteristics in makeup, including magic, aesthetic, social and psychological symbolicity. The magic symbolicity was associated with seeking after sorcerous treatment, and the aesthetic symbolicity was tied into displaying one's superiority by painting his or her face and thereby distinguishing himself or herself from others. The social symbolicity was bound up with representing one's social status like class, race or gender, and the psychological symbolicity was related to using makeup as a means to protect oneself. Makeup allows people to express their changing inner feelings and substantial nature in a unique and symbolic manner, and this is why they make an attempt to makeup their faces in various ways. As primitive men including sorcerers used different sorts of makeup, like coloring, tattooing and scar, with their whole hearts in pursuit of affluent life and wellbeing, modern makeup artists will also be able to look into the sources of inner human world and to describe the worth of life and everybody's intrinsic strong attachment for that through makeup.
