        알레르기성 비염 환자들의 음향음성학적 특성 및 음성장애지수

        Background and Objectives: There are few studies reported that specifically examine the phonetic characteristics and voice handicap index (VHI) in patients with Allergic Rhinitis. This study was designed to examine phonetic characteristics and VHI in adult patients with allergic rhinitis. Materials and Methods: Forty-two male patients diagnosed as allergic rhinitis were given skin-prick test and others, aged from 20 to 56 years, and were compared with a 16 male control group with no pathology and in the same age group. The VHI was used to measure the changes of patient's perception. Acoustic and aerodynamic analysis test were done, and a nasalance test performed to measure rabbit, baby, and mother passage. Acoustic rhionometry (AR) was performed to evaluate nasal volume and nasal crosssectional area. Statistical analysis was done using independent sample t-test. Results: VHI showed significantly different score in the studied group, higher than that of control group. AR graph showed that there was no significant differences of nasal volume and nasal cross-sectional area. The Shimmer and SFF value in the group of allergic patients were higher than in the control group. MPT value in the group of allergic patients was lower than in the control group. Nasalance in allergic patients showed hypernasality all passage. Conclusion: We suggest that patients with allergic rhinitis have considerable voice problems. Most of them have hypernasality, which may be a compensatory mechanism by nasal obstruction.

      • 도시철도에서 사물인터넷(IoT)의 활용에 관한 연구

        사물인터넷(IoT)이란 사물간의 네트워크로서 센싱, 네트워킹, 정보처리 등의 세가지 요소로 구성된다. 또한 IoT는 인터넷에서의 사물간 지능통신(M2M,Machine To Machine)의 확장된 개념이라고 할 수 있다. 도시철도에서는 IoT라는 용어가 일반화되기 이전부터 초기 단계의 IoT 서비스로서 RF 교통카드 시스템과 출입문 통제시스템 등과 같은 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)에 기반한 실시간 모니터링 시스템이 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 서울도시철도공사에 적용된 IoT 서비스에 대해 살펴보고 개선점을 제시한다. Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or things, which consists of the three elements of sensing, networking, and information processing. Also, the IoT can be considered as an extended concept of the intelligent communication over the Internet (M2M, Machine To Machine). In urban railways, as the early stage IoT services, the real-time monitoring system based on ubiquitous sensor network (USN) such as RF transportation card system and door control system have been applied to the various fields prior to the generalization of the term IoT. In this paper, we examine the IoT services applied to Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation and suggest improvement points.

        인지 LPC cepstrum의 새로운 구현 및 음성인식에의 적용

        본 논문에서는 귀의 주요한 특징인 주파수가중특성과 Bark-scale이라는 비선형주파수특성을 선형주파수축상에서 고려한 거리함수를 정의하고, 이 거리함수로부터 새로운 LPC cepstrum 계수를 제안한다. 귀의 특성은 선형주파수축에서 로그 스펙트럼에 대한 가증함수로서 표현되며, 이 가중함수는 cepstrum 영역에서 콘볼루션으로 표현되어 콘볼루션적으로 가중되는 LPC cepstrum을 정의하게 된다. 제안된 cepstrum 계수에서 정의된 가중함수는 A-weighting의 영향과 비선형주파수축의 영향을 하나의 가중함수로 통합하여 사용된 것이다. 제안된 파라미터의 성능을 음성인식 실험을 통하여 검증하였다. To improve the performance of a recognition system, namely the recognition rate, we propose a hew implementation of perceptual distance using LPC cepstrum(perceptual cepstrum, PLC). The PLC is caculated by convolution of a usual LPC cepstrum and a perceptual lifter(PL). To caculate PL, we define a new weighting function in the linear frequency domain considering the frequency scale(Bark-scale) characteristics. The PL is the inverse Fourier transform of the exponents of the weighting function. We verified our method through the speech recognition experiments. The performance of PLC was compared with that of the rasied sine liftering method.

        거문도 연안에서 채집된 해마속의 어류률 근거로 Hippocampus sindonis 한국에서의 미기록 종으로 보고하였다, 본 종은 둥지러미 기조수 15개, 사슴지느러미 기조수 14개이며, 10개이 몸퉁 체륜과, 37개의 꼬리체륜 등을 가지는 특징에 의해 국내의 유사종과 구결되며, 국면은 "신도해마"로 명명 하였다. Single soecimen (68mm TL)of the shiho`s seahorse Hippocampus sindonis collected From Geonun lsland was desnribed as a first recird from Korea, Tge species is characterized by Gabing 15 dorsal fin-rays, 14 pectral fin-rays, snout length 2.8 in HL, trunk rings 10, and tail rings 37. A new A new Korean name, "sin-do-hae-ma" is proposed.

        노인 환자에서의 음성학적 특성

        Summary: This study evaluated the relationship between voice complaint and deviant vocal fold status with special regard to presbylarynx, in patients aged more than 60 years with pharyngeal-laryngeal complaint. The material consisted of clinical histories and images obtained by laryngoscopies of 75 patients aged more than 60 years, who had sought otorhinolaryngologic treatment. Indicative glottic characteristics of the presbylarynx, such as vocal fold bowing(VFB), prominence of vocal processes (PVP), and membranous spindle shaped glottic chink(MSC) and the presence or absence of voice complaint were analyzed Also, acoustic parameters such as fundamental frequency(Fo), jitter percent and shimmer percent were analyzed. VFB showed a strong correlation with voice complaint in male. Jitter and shimmer were correlated with VFB, PVP, MSC in female.

        성대돌기 육아종의 음성치료 효과

        Vocal process granuloma can occur commonly by laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), vocal abuse or misuse. It has been reported that voice therapy is employed with medication therapy for the patients who has vocal process granuloma, however research about effect of voice therapy can be hardly founded. For that matter, the primary aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of therapeutic method we implement. Thirty one patients who has been diagnosed with vocal process granuloma from January, 2007 to June, 2009 participated in this study. 19 patients among them are provided voice therapy and medication, 12 patients take only medication. Voice therapy is implemented ranging from 5 to 19 sessions (mean: 8.6 sessions). We provided explanation about problem each patient has, voice rest, SKMVTT<SUP>?</SUP>, abdominal breathing, and relaxation in session. All subjects were examined by videostroboscopy, perceptual assessment, acoustic and aerodynamic measures. Consequantly, the greater part of the patients (78.9%) who is treated by voice therapy and medication are confirmed disappearance or decrease of granuloma, it shows better results compared with the group provided only medication (66.7%). Especially, the period of drug administration is 3.7 months in the group runs parallel with voice therapy, the period of other group is 7.8 months. The results of acoustic and aerodynamic measures after treating indicates there are significant decrease in Jitter, Shimmer, and NHR, and increase in MPT, Psub (p<.05). However, there is no large difference statistically even though voice quality has improved since the therapy. In conclusion, it is verified that the voice therapy to the vocal process granuloma patients taking medication is effectual method, we recommend combining voice therapy with medication when treatment is needed for the vocal process granuloma patients.

        A Study on the Load and Deformation of Race Carbon Bicycle Frame for Improved Athletic Performance

        As the industry develops and quality of life increases, the concept of leisure is also changing. Bicycling is a healthy sport for exercising while enjoying nature, facilitating the enjoyment of a healthy life. As a result, the awareness surrounding bicycles has increased, and so has the interest in lighter and more luxurious carbon bikes. The number of domestic companies producing carbon bicycles frames is nil. In this study, we analyze the frames of existing foreign brands and analyze the deformation and stress concentration area according to the load of the frame, using the finite element analysis. In addition, we set up the range of stiffness based on the content of the structural analysis, to localize the carbon bicycle frame and famous foreign products, and compare the prototype with the stiffness by using bicycle molds for track races.

        지진하중을 받는 지하구조물에 대한 동적 거동 해석

        지진 시 지하구조물의 거동은 구조물 자체의 동적 특성 보다는 주변지반의 동적특성에 영향을 받는다. 따라서 구조물을 감싸고 있는 지반의 특성이 구조물의 동적 거동특성을 좌우한다. 본 연구의 목적은 지진시 지하구조물의 동적 거동 및 응답특성(축방향 변형 및 ovaling 변형)을 분석하는 것이다. 지진시 지하구조물의 동적 거동 및 응답특성을 분석하기 위해서 지반조건, 지진조건, 구조물 조건 변화에 따라 구조물에 발생하는 응답을 이론해법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 추가적으로 소규모의 모형 실험체를 이용한 진동대 실험을 수행하여 구조물의 동적거동을 분석하였으며, 이론해를 이용한 해석결과와 비교분석한 결과 경향성이 잘 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. The behavior characteristics of underground structures are reported as they are not affected by their dynamic characteristics such as surface structures, but by dynamic characteristics of soil and rock surrounding the underground structures. Therefore, dynamic behavior of surrounding soil and rock dominates the dynamic behavior of the underground structure. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the dynamic response (longitudinal deformation and ovaling deformation) of the underground structure under earthquake loading. The dynamic responses of the underground structures were evaluated with varying earthquake conditions, soil conditions, and structural conditions using conventional closed-form solution of seismic behavior of underground structure. In addition, shaking table tests were conducted to simulate the earthquake loading and the dynamic behavior of the model was analyzed.

        천식환자에서의 음성의 질

        Background and Objectives: In patients with asthma, increased obstruction and resistance of airway result in impairment in the generation of voice. Allergy and nasal polyposis, which are frequently observed in patients with asthma, are other factors that affect the vocal performance. Bronchodilators and steroids are commonly used in the treatment of asthma, and these agents also have been reported to be associated with voice changes. The aim of this study is to evaluate the voice quality in patients with mild to-moderate asthma by subjective and objective methods. Materials and Methods: A total of 36 patients with asthma established in the Department of Respiratory Medicine were included in this study. 23 were women and 13 were men, with a mean age of 51.7 years. The average duration of asthma was 77.0 months. All patients had mild-to moderate asthma. Acoustic and aerodynamic analyses were performed and the movements of the vocal cords were examined by videolaryngostroboscopy (VLS). Voice Handicap Index (VHI) and GRABS scales were used for subjective evaluations. Results: 50% of patients suffered from dysphonia and FO was 119.3${\pm}$23.7 Hz in male and 198.2${\pm}$18.4 Hz in female patients. There were no significant differences in average shimmer and NHR between females (4.90${\pm}$2.95% ; 0.1O${\pm}$0.04 dB) and males (4.64${\pm}$2.45% ; 0.20${\pm}$0.15 dB). However, the value of jitter was greater for females (2.60${\pm}$1.92%) than for males (1.21${\pm}$0.84%). The VHI score was above the normal limit in 35%, and VLS findings were shown diverse abnormality in 89% asthmatics from mucosal change to hyperfunction of supragottis and contact granuloma. But duration of illness and steroid dose did not correlate with these findings. Conclusion: Subjective and objective abnormality was shown in more than 50% of asthmatic patients. We suggest that persons who suffer from asthma should be examined for possible voice disorders by laryngologist. Additionally, appropriate medical care and voice therapy should be provided for those who have voice disorders associated with asthma.
