Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet(AFDX) network system deployed in modern aircraft offers high bandwidth and enhanced capabilities for aircraft data network. AFDX network system adopted IEEE 802.3 Ethernet technology and added some special features to compose deterministic and fault tolerant network. In our research, we have implemented the AFDX Network Interface Card(NIC) and End System(ES) using Veri log Hardware Description Language(Verilog HDL) and POSIX C language based on QNX Real-Time Operating System(RTOS).

Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) standards define some features that stations can communicate with each other in vehicular environments but they do not include hanover function. Supporting handover in V2I communication environments improves the quality of V2I services and as a result of that, we can provide more effective services to users on the road. In this paper, we introduce a new handover scheme in multi-channel based WAVE system.

Recently, many research activities related to Cooperative ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) are in progress around the world. And many research activities about autonomous driving are also in progress. For the prior phase of fully autonomous driving technology, we are developing cooperative driving technology. In our research, a few vehicles organize cooperative driving group by themselves and following vehicles in the group are controlled automatically without driver’s assistance. To achieve this goal, we defined detailed scenarios and communication protocol between vehicles.
