Seven antioxidative compounds were isolated from chloroform and ethyl acetate extracts of the stem bark of Eucalyptus globulus (Myrtaceae). They were identified as rhamnazin (1), rhamnetin (2), naringenin (3), eriodictyol (4), quercetin (5), taxifolin (6) and dihydrokaempferol-3-rhamnoside (7) on the basis of various spectroscopic analyses. These compounds inhibited lipid peroxidation with $IC_{50}$ values of 0.08-30 ${\mu}g/ml$.

Hibiscus syriacus L. (Malvaceae) is widely distributed over Korean, China, India and Siberia. The dried flower of Hibiscus syriacus is used as a folk medicine for curing of hematochezia, dysentery, obstruction due to wind-phlegm, regurgitation, and vomiting of food, and the dried root bark is used antipyretic, anthelmintic and antifungal agents. From a chloroform extract of root bark of this plant, compound I, II, and III were isolated and the structures were elucidated by various spectroscopic analyses. These compounds were identified as syringaresinol. E-N-feruloyltyramine, and Z-N-feruloyltyramine, respectively and were isolated from this plant for the first time. Compound II and III exhibited lipid peroxidation inhibitory activities with $IC_{50}$ of 15.5 and 28.6 ${\mu}g/ml$, respectively.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affected with nurses prevention activity against hospital fall. Methods: The data were collected from 325 nurses at C University Hospital in G City by using the structured questionnaires from February 21, 2011 to March 12, 2011. The data were analyzed by stepwise multiple regression. Results: The main factor associated with prevention activity against hospital fall was the attitude towards hospital fall (β=.26, p<.001), the next one was the educational level (β=.16, p=.002), and the last one was the frequency of fall prevention education (β=.14, p=.009). The all factors could explain 11.1% of the variance in the nurses prevention activities against hospital fall. Conclusion: Hospital managers need to make hospital culture to enhance the nurses positive attitude about hospital fall prevention. In addition, educators need to develop educational programs including hospital fall prevention through academic curriculum and continuing education.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of quality of life (QoL) with body weight, anxiety, and depression according to perioperative period. Methods: Data were secondarily analyzed from 30 gastric cancer patients. Results: There were positive relationships of anxiety with depression (r=.42, p=.019) and appetite symptoms of QoL (r=.41, p=.023) at preoperative day one. There were negative relationships of body weight with physical function of QoL (r=-.40, p=.026), and positive relationships of anxiety with depression (r=.37, p=.044) and constipation symptom of QoL (r=.38, p=.034) at postoperative day 7. Also, at postoperative one month, there were positive relationships of body weight with physical function (r=-.45, p=.011) and constipation symptom (r=.37, p=.039). There was a negative relationship of anxiety with emotional function (r=-.39, p= .035), a negative relationship of depression with physical function (r=-.43, p= .018), and a positive relationship of depression with finance (r=.39, p=.034). Conclusion: Oncology nurses should consider diverse factors during the early postoperative period to increase QoL. Also, appropriate and timely interventions should be provided to minimize the negative influence on QoL.

Five cytotoxic and antioxidative flavonoids were isolated from the stem bark of Cudrania tricuspidata by consecutive purification using HP-20, silicagel and prep-HPLC. They were identified as taxifolin, orobol, eriodictyol, dihydrokaempferol and steppogenin by means of spectral studies. The antioxidative activities (IC_(50)) assayed by TBA method of these compound 1∼5 to were 6, 3, 3, $gt;50, and 10 ㎍/㎖, respectively. The effect on the growth inhibition (IC_(50)) of these compounds against P388 cell line were found to be 0.18, 3.3, 15 and 6.2 ㎍/㎖, respectively in the order of compound 2 to 5.

Mushrooms are valued as a nutritional food and also as an important source of useful medicinal components. They produce various secondary metabolites which have interesting biological activities and unique chemical structures. As part of our ongoing investigation on chemical constituents and bioactive components of Korean native mushrooms, compound 1, an indole alkaloid, was isolated from the fruiting body of Boletus umbriniporus. B. umbriniporus is characterized by its yellow flesh, which changes to pallid blue when exposed to air, and its chemical constituent has not been reported. Chemical structure of compound 1 was determined to be flazin on the basis of ESI-mass, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 1H-1H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC analysis. This compound was isolated from the fruiting body of B. umbriniporus for the first time.

공간 자료를 분석하는 기본 도구인 등치선도를 자동적으로 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 정규 격자 자료에 적용되는 본 알고리즘은 한 단위 격자를 4개의 꼭지점과 중심점에 의해 나뉘어진 8개의 선분으로 구성된 사각형으로 정의하여 사용한다. 그리고자 하는 등치선의 레벨값이 단위 격자의 4꼭지점에 할당된 격자 값과 각각 같지 않다고 가정하면 통과 등치선은 한 단위 격자의 8개의 선분 중 오직 3-6개의 선분과 만나고 이 결과로 한 단위 격자에서 발생 가능한 등치선의 유형은 7개의 유형으로 분류 가능하다. 한 단위 격자를 통과하는 등치선의 유형을 고정시킴으로써 단위 격자 내에서 발생할 수도 있는 등치선의 교차점 연결에 따른 모호성을 해결하고 알고리즘을 단순화시킬 수 있다. 제안된 알고리즘을 여려 종류의 자료 형태에 대해 실험한 결과 기존의 상용 소프트웨어에 비해 오차율이 적고 자료에 대한 적응성(flexibility)이 양호함을 증명하였다. This study presents algorithm to automatically generate a contour map which is a basic tool for analyzing the spatial data. This algorithm, which is designed for the regular grid data, operates on a subgrid with the 8 edges which consist of the lines connecting four nodes and the center point. It is recognized and proved that a contour line intersects 3~6 edges in a subgrid, if we have the constraint that the contour line value is not equal to each of the four node-values, and as the result, the crossed contour line patterns in a subgrid are classified by 7 possible cases. Based on these contour line patterns, this algorithm can solve the ambiguous connection problem for intersection points. The algorithm is validated and tested on a number of possible data sets.
