Calculous anuria is one of the complications of upper urinary tract calculi and may be caused by mechanical obstruction at some point of the tract, renal insufficiency, and a combination of obstructive and renal factors. The clinical features may vary from a complete absence of symptom to the time when the patient observes he could not pass urine. An immediate roentgenogram and catheterization of the ureters in an attempt to restore the excretion of urine are always recommended and in from 50 to 55 per cent of the patients the calculus is expelled. Even if anuria recurs after withdrawal of the catheter, the patient is in better condition for surgical intervention as a result of the removal of accumulated nitrogenous waste products. Uric acid calculi comprise from 3.5 to 4 percent of urinary calculi. A low purine diet, allopurinol and alkalinization of urine are proved very effective in management of it. Recently we have experienced a case of calculous anuria due to bilateral ureteral stones in 41 years old man and present it with the review of the literatures.

자발성 흉부 척수 탈출증은 척수가 손상이나 수술적 조작의 기왕력이 없는 경막을 통해 탈출 되는 드문 질환이다.이 질환은 척수병증을 유발하는 질환 중에서 치료가 가능한 경우이나 잘 알려져 있지 않은 질환이므로 적절한 진단이 늦어지는 경우가 많다.저자들은 CT와 MR소견상 흉부 척수가 경막 결손을 통해 전측방으로 탈출되어 있었던 자발적 흉부 척수 탈출증의 증례를 경험하여 보고한다. Spontaneous herniation of the spinal cord is a rare disease entity in which spinal cord substance is herniated through a previously uninjured and/or untouched dura. It is a cause of myelopathy that is treatable but difficult to diagnose. We report the CT and MR findings of a case of spontaneous thoracic spinal cord herniation manifesting as ventrolateral protrusion of thoracic spinal cord through a dural defect.
3차원 전산화단층촬영 혈관조영술(3D-CTA)을 이용한 뇌동맥류의 진단

In contrast to the cerebral angiography, 3D-CTA is a noninvasive diagnostic method with high-speed volumetric data acquisition and this permits fast images in adequate quality without significant complications. The ability of multiplanar reconstruction and three dimensional display from different angles of 3D-CTA enables us to form useful information about the aneurysm itself in terms of shape, direction, neck, lumen and adjacent structures including vessels that helps in the planning of surgical treatment. Although 3D-CTA is as sensitive as cerebral angiography in detecting aneurysm with larger than 3mm, smaller aneurysms or aneurysms located near skull base may fail to demonstrate with 3D-CTA. Some limitations as small field of view, not shown flow dynamics, misregistration and artifact may lead misdiagnosis and need for cerebral angiography. Improvement of hardware and image reconstruction method of 3D-CTA such as Multi-Angle Reconstruction Plan (MARP) and Local Maximum Intensity Projection (LMIP) could advance anatomic detail and permit larger field of view with shorter scanning time. Therefore 3D-CTA may replace cerebral angiography in the near future.
$CO_2$ 첨가가 $CH_4$-공기 대향류 확산화염의 구조 및 NOx 생성에 미치는 영향

This numerical study was to investigate the effect of $CO_2$ addition on the structures and NOx formation characteristics in $CH_4$ counterflow diffusion flame. The importance of radiation effect was identified and $CO_2$ addition effect was investigated in terms of thermal and chemical reaction effect. Also the causes of NOx reduction were clarified by separation method of each formation mechanisms. The results were as follows : The radiation effect was intensified by $CO_2$ addition. Thermal effect mainly contributed to the changes in flame structure and the amount of NO formation but the chemical reaction effect also cannot be neglected. The reduction of thermal NO was dominant with respect to reduction rate, but that of prompt NO was dominant with respect to total amount.

일측성 혹은 양측성 내경동맥 무형성증은 드문 선천성 이상이며,특히 양측성인 경우는 매우드물다.저자들이 경험한 양측성 내경동맥 무형성증 1예를 자기공명영상과 자기공명혈관조영술 소견과 함께 보고하고자 한다. Unilateral or, particularly, bilateral congenital agenesis of the internal carotid artery is a rare anomaly. We report an occurrence of the condition, arising bilaterally, and report the findings of magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance angiography.
Stroke 환자의 발성시 기류의 효율성에 대한 비교 연구

본 연구의 목적은 stroke 환자의 말소리를 공기역학적으로 변별하기 위한 음향학적, 기류적 파라미터들 을 측정하여 말소리에 영향을 줄 수 있는 강도와 기류율, 성대진동과 성문기류사이 관계를 분석하는 동시에 성문하압을 음향학적 에너지로 변환시키는 후두 능력 척도인 발성효율성(vocal efficiency)을 알 아봄으로써 공기역학적 측면에서 변별 정도를 제시 할 수 있는 근거내지는 단서로 활용하여 stroke 환 자의 전반적인 명료도를 연구하는데 기초적 자료로 활용하여 말메커니즘의 기능적 측면과 유기적인 상 호작용을 이해하는데 도움을 주고자 하였다.
