        탄소 나노섬유/PVDF-HFP 복합재로 코팅된 실크 직물의 물성

        Silk fabrics were coated with carbon nano fibers (CNFs)/poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) composite solution by the knife edge method. The various contents of CNFs/PVDF-HFP coated silk fabrics were investigated through their morphological, mechanical, and electrical properties. In the results regarding surface morphology, it was shown that the CNFs were evenly distributed in coated silk fabrics through SEM images; the existence of CNFs in coated silk fabrics was confirmed. For the results regarding the mechanical properties, the tensile linearity and compression linearity improved as CNFs contents increased. Also, the electrical properties of CNFs/PVDF-HFP coated silk fabrics increased with 4% CNFs contents. Therefore, the results confirm the ability of conductive textiles by using CNFs/PVDF-HFP composite-coated silk fabrics.

        Synthesis of trans, trans-4-(2-Fluoro-3-isothiocyanato-4-propylphenyl)-4-alkylbicyclohexyl for Liquid Crystal Display

        We designed and synthesized compounds which have negative dielectric anisotropy (N type) for VA-LCD mode. Due to the large dipole moments toward the minor axis of molecule and anisotropy of polarizability, they can be used as N type LC. F atom and NCS group and propyl group were introduced as substituents on bicyclohexylbenzene core unit and alkyl chains (propyl~heptyl) were introduced on terminal part. All of the synthesized compounds showed negative dielectric anisotropy as expected. 수식배향(VA) 모드 액정디스플레이에 사용될 수 있는 음의 유전율 상수를 갖고 있는 화합물들을 고안합성하였다. 이들은 분자의 단축방향으로 큰 쌍극자 모멘트와 큰 분극성을 갖고 있어 N 형태의 액정으로 사용될 수 있다. 중심의 바이싸이클로헥신벤젠에 플로오린과 NCS기를 말단부분에 알킬기를 도입하였다. 합성된 화합물등은 예상대로 음의 유전율 이방성을 보여 주었다

        Coronavirus Disease 2019, 백신의 시대를 조망한다

        With this as a momentum of approval Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-2019), it is changed to the era of vaccine rapidly. Most countries are trying to reserve effective vaccines and inoculate vaccines into high-risk populations for achieving community immunity. I reviewed several vaccine-related issues to be confronted for moving up to the end of COVID-2019: the efficacy and effectiveness of the approved vaccines, the priorities for vaccination into target groups, side effects, and distrust towards COVID-2019 vaccines. Evidence-based decision-making in the policy process and collaboration with professional groups are the most effective strategies for driving successful vaccination policy.

        Fine Structure and Physical Properties of Poly(butylene terephthalate) Films Prepared by Biaxial Drawing Method

        The purpose of this study is to determine a structural explanation for the improved ability of PBT for biaxial orientation at the temperature range of $100{\sim}180^{\circ}C$. In order to investigate the crystal structure and orientation, PBT films with biaxial and uniaxial stretching are examined using WAXD, MOA, etc. Thermal properties are confirmed by DMTA, DSC and mechanical properties are investigated using sonic propagation method and tensile tester. In WAXD results, original PBT films exhibit only ${\alpha}$-form crystallites, while biaxially stretched films show (100) of the ${\alpha}$-crystal phase with increased stretching temperatures. In MOA patterns, original and biaxially stretched PBT films show an isotropic pattern in the film plane. The planarity of the film increases with simultaneous transverse stretching and stretching temperature.

        나일론 4 공중합물 소재의 구조와 물성(III) -나일론 4 함량의 영향-

        The effects of annealing on the fine structure and moisture regain of nylon 4 copolymer films were investigated in terms of the content of nylon 4. Nylon 6-ran-nylon 4 (50/50), (30/70), and (0/100) films were prepared using melt pressing and solution casting methods, respectively. The (N6-ran-N4) copolymer films were annealed in a silicon oil bath at 50, 75, 100, 125 and $150^{\circ}C$, and the properties of resultant film were examined by WAXD, DSC, DMTA and moisture regain. The crystal structure in (N6-ran-N4)(50/50) and (30/70) films with increasing annealing temperature was very similar to the gamma phase of nylon 6. The thermal property of (N6-ran-N4)(50/50) and (30/70) films annealed under high temperature exhibit an increase in melting temperature and enthlapy. The result of the tan ${\delta}$ behavior of (N6-ran-N4)(0/100) film was confirmed to the appearance of two ${\alpha}$ transition peaks. The moisture regain of (N6-ran-N4) copolymer films, except in the case of (N6-ranN4)(30/70) films, decreased when the annealing temperature was increased.

        나일론 4 공중합물 소재의 구조와 물성 (1)-연신 속도에 따른 영향-

        Nylon 6(N6) and nylon 6(80)-ran-nylon 4(20) (N6-ran-N4) films were prepared using melt pressing methods. The N6-ran-N4 films were drawn uniaxially at various drawing speeds at $125^{\circ}C$, and the film properties were examined by WAXD, DSC, and DMTA. The crystal structure in the N6-ran-N4 films as the drawing speed increased became very similar to the alpha phase of N6. The thermal property of the N6-ran-N4 films prepared with increasing drawing speeds indicated an increasing melting temperature and enthalpy.

        일부 질환들에서 진료량-진료비, 재원일수와의 관계에 대한 연구

        Investigating the existence of volume-outcome relationships for specific disease groups relates directly to the policy issue of whether, and how, specific inpatient services should be regionalized. This study examined whether medical costs and lengths of stay as outcomes were affected by changes in volume within hospitals. Based on the claims data obtained from National Federation of Medical Associations, each six disease categories from medical and surgical conditions were selected and 29,720 cases from 1,266 hospitals were analyzed. Main findings of the research can be summarized as follows: 1. Analyzing volume and cost per case relationship, tonsillectomy class 1, hernia procedure class 0, appendectomy and cesarean section class 0,1 in surgical conditions showed negative relationship significantly. In cases of medical conditions, costs per case in respiratory neoplasm class 2, COPD class 1, 2, digestive malignancy were also related to volume negtively. 2. Comparing volume with length of stay per case, lens procedure class 0, hernia procedure class 0, appendectomy class 0,1, cesarean section class 1 in surgical conditions showed negative relationships significantly. In medical conditions, volume of respiratory neoplasm class 2, COPD class 1,2, digestive malignancy class 0 were associated with negatively. 3. Within same disease categories, changes in cost and length of stay per case to volume were more remarkable in severe cases. These results suggested a significant inverse relationship between disease cases and cost, length of stay per case as outcome variables.

        Pentanediol unit로 개질된 PET의 결정화 거동

        Polyethylene terephthalate(PET) is a well known commercial polymer widely available as fibre and as a major polymer with diverse applications. In this experiment, for the modification of PET, the pentanediol isomers, 1,5-pentanediol(1,5-PD) and neopentyl glycol(NPG), were introduced as third monomers. Crystallization rate decreased by the added NPG of PET modified by NPG units. In the case of PET modified by 1,5-PD, crystallization rate had been slightly increased at all temperatures until the 1,5-PD was added about 10 mol%. The decreased crystallization rate is thought to be due to branched from methyl group of neopentyl, which greatly retards the crystallization by growing onto the crystal surface of the diffused polymer chain. PET(polyethylene terephthalate)는 섬유 및 다방면의 응용분야에 사용되는 상업용 고분자로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 PET를 개질하기 위해 pentanediol의 이성질체인 1,5-pentanediol(1, 5-PD)과 neopentyl glycol(NPG)를 제3 monomer로 도입시켰다. NPG를 도입시킨 경우에는 결정화 속도가 감소하고, 1,5-PD로 개질된 PET는 1,5-PD가 약 10mo1% 첨가될 때가지 결정화 속도가 서서히 증가하였다. 이러한 결과는 NPG의 branch된 methyl기가 고분자 사슬에 표면으로 확산되면서 결정화하는 것을 방해하기 때문이다.
