In this study, the sensory characteristics of eight types of distilled soju commercially available in Korea were determined by CATA (check-all-the-apply) profiling. Fifty-three consumers were questioned about the aroma, appearance, aroma, flavor, taste, and texture-related attributes of soju and their overall preferences. The sum of CATA terms indicated that 10 characteristics showed frequency differences of more than 10 and that there were significant differences between 11 sensory attributes of 12 samples as determined by Cochran's q test. (p <0.05). Analysis showed the first principal component based on correspondence analysis of CATA data, explained 76.64% of total variance. The characteristics 'alcohol taste', 'fruit taste', and 'bitter taste' appeared more frequently than the characteristics of 'brown' or 'acetone smell. As a result of comparing the frequency analysis of each characteristic in the preference survey and the CATA survey, 'fruit flavor', 'sweet flavor', 'savory flavor', 'brandy flavor', 'fruit flavor', and 'sweetness' had a positive effect on preference, and an 'alcohol ', an 'acetone', and a 'chemical smell', and 'alcohol taste' had a negative effect on preference.
교통사고로 발생한 경항통, 요통 환자에 대한 추나, 약침 병행치료군과 약침 치료군의 비교연구

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare clinical effectiveness of Chuna therapy and Pharmacopuncture combination treatment and Pharmacopuncture treatment on the patients with neck pain and low back pain caused by traffic accidents. Methods : A total of 20 hospitalized patients with neck pain and low back pain caused by traffic accidents from June 2019 to December 2019 were included in this study. These patients were divided into to groups, CP group and P group, of 10 patients each. CP group was treated with both Chuna therapy and Pharmacopuncture, and P group was treated with Pharmacopuncture but not Chuna therapy. Visual Analog Scale(VAS), Neck Disability Index(NDI), and Patient's Global Impression of Change(PGIC) were used for the evaluation of neck pain, and VAS, Oswestry Disability Index(ODI), PGIC were used for the evaluation of low back pain. Results : In neck pain, VAS and NDI scores were significantly decreased after treatment in both CP group and P group. There was no significant difference in VAS, NDI, PGIC scores before and after treatment between the two groups. In low back pain, both the VAS and ODI scores decreased significantly after treatment in CP group. But in P group, only the VAS score decreased significantly after treatment, and the ODI score did not. CP group has significantly lower ODI values compared to the P group after treatment. There was no significant difference in PGIC between groups. Conclusion : According to the results of this study, it was suggested that both Chuna therapy and Pharmacopuncture combination treatment and Pharmacopuncutre treatment are effective for pain relief and functional recovery in case of neck pain. In case of low back pain, it was suggested that Chuna and Pharmacopuncture combination treatment is effective for both pain relief and functional recovery, and Pharmacopuncture treatment is effective in pain relief.

This case study reports the effects of complex Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon, on Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) accompanied by chronic constipation and abdominal pain as the main symptoms. A 39-year-old woman diagnosed with LEMS with major symptoms, including chronic constipation and acute abdominal pain, received Western treatment. The treatment efficacy was weak and symptoms recurred, so the patient received outpatient treatment and 13 days of hospitalization for active Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon. During outpatient treatment and hospitalization, defecation frequency and the numeric rating scale (NRS) for abdominal pain and abdominal cold feeling were measured. The NRS for abdominal pain and cold decreased from 8 at admission to 3 and 0, respectively, at discharge. Defecation frequency increased significantly from once or twice a month to once every 2-3 days during hospitalization. This study results that complex Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon may be useful for treating patients who mainly complain of autonomic neurological symptoms, among patients diagnosed with LEMS. In addition, it is believed that it could be basic data applicable to more LEMS patient treatment cases.
골 타박상을 동반한 슬관절 내측 측부 인대 파열에 대한 보존적 한방통합치료: 증례 2례

This study is to show the clinical effect of Korean medicine integrated treatment for medial collateral ligament tear with bone contusion by traffic accident. The patients were treated using Korean medicine integrated treatment including acupunture, pharmacoacupunture and herbal medication. The effect of treatment was measured by Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index (WOMAC), EuroQol-5 Dimension Index (EQ-5D) and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). After treatment, case 1 improved WOMAC from 94 to 24, EQ-5D from -0.056 to 0.72, and NRS from 10 to 2. Case 2 showed an improvement in symptoms from WOMAC 91 to 14, EQ-5D from 0.077 to 0.862, NRS from 10 to 2.5. In addition, as a result of follow-up about 5 months after each onset, case 1 showed a further improvement with WOMAC 0, EQ-5D 0.95 and case 2 WOMAC 7, EQ-5D 0.913. These results suggest that Korean medicine integrated treatment might be a possible therapeutic option for the medial collateral ligament tear with bone contusion by traffic accident.

A computer simulation was carried out to investigate draft characteristics of Korean paddy field for obtaining the basic reference to the selection of optimum moldboard type suitable for Korean paddy field conditions. Cylindrical, cylindroidal, semihelical moldboard plows, and one type of oriental Janggi were used for simulation. A series of soil bin experiments was conducted to compare the experimental results with the predicted drafts from computer simulation using the cylindroidal moldboard plow. The computer model predicted draft force with 1~12% error at 12~16cm plowing depth which is the most conventional plowing depth in the rural area in Korea. Thus, the computer model was considered to be good enough for simulation. Due to the different plowing width of experimental plows, specific draft was selected for comparison by computer simulations. Specific draft of cylindrical moldboard plow was ranged from 3 to 6 N/$\textrm{cm}^2$ according to the soil conditions, plowing speed and plowing depth, 2.5~3.0 N/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for semihelical moldboard plow.

Since it is important to measure and recognize the center position of a pallet hole in unmanned logistics equipment such as an autonomous forklift, devices were made in this work to predict the center of the hole using a one-dimensional lidar and a performance evaluation was performed. The hole boundaries were predicted using the support vector machine classifier from the data measured using 1 D lidar, from which the hole center coordinates were estimated. As a result of the study, it can be seen that it shows high accuracy even with a small training data set. And, it is possible to recognize and predict the center of the pallet hole with high accuracy using a low-cost lidar.

Since the recognition of surrounding objects is very important in industrial equipment such as unmanned vehicles, a study was conducted to recognize the features of a two-dimensional object using a one-dimensional lidar. Features were recognized and extracted using Gaussian kernel support vector classification algorithm, from which decision boundary was derived and its coordinates were extracted. Applying this study to feature recognition of the pallet hole, it was confirmed that the main features including hole center could be recognized with even small number of measurement data with reasonable accuracy.
