An air charger is a device used to fill a respirator container with breathable air at high pressure. It is equipped with an air purification filter to remove harmful components generated during air charging. Among the main components of the filter, the desiccant determines the replacement cycle of the air purification filter. In this study, we are going to develop a refrigerant type moisture eliminator that can remove moisture by using refrigerant gas. We aim to extend the use time of the filter to about 70 hr. The experimental results showed that when the temperature of the injected air is 15 ℃, the moisture eliminator is installed at 2.8 mg/㎥. When the temperature of the injected air was 45 ℃, it is 7.6 mg/㎥. Through this, the moisture level removed by passing through the devices is about 1.5 times more moisture than the state without the eliminator.
스프링클러헤드 실화재시험을 통한 열 유체의 유동 확산 경향에 대한 연구

The closed sprinklerhead uses a method of fixing the fire extinguishing water outlet with a glass bulb etc. that can operate at a specific temperature. The Korea Fire Institute(KFI) conducts tests based on the technical standards. However, the operation test has not been conducted in an actual fire situation. In this study, the sprinklerhead is tested in the real fire situation to check whether the it works according to the non-uniform distribution of thermal fluid. Samples are one Japanese and two South Korea samples. Through the test results, it is confirmed that the effect of heat transfer and accumulation is different according to the contact with the outside air and whether the air is circulated. It is considered that the operation test through the real fire test should be conducted by minimizing the influence of outside air to maintain uniform heat diffusion and heat accumulation.

A lysosome, an acidic membrane-bound organelle, contains hydrolytic enzymes to digest macromolecules for recycling. Many lysosomal enzymes (LEs) traffic to the lysosome through the mannose-6-phosphate (M6P)-dependent pathway. Some mannose residues of highmannose type N-glycans on LEs can be phosphorylated in the Golgi apparatus through twostep enzyme reactions. The consequent M6P moiety is recognized by M6P receptors (MPRs) on the trans-Golgi network membrane and delivered through the endo-lysosomal pathway. On the other hand, secreted LEs containing M6P glycans can be recaptured by MPRs on the plasma membrane and targeted to the lysosome. Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) for lysosomal storage diseases exploits this M6P-MPR-dependent endocytosis to deliver recombinant enzymes to lysosomes. This review discusses various engineering and application technologies using M6P’s lysosomal targeting. Glyco-engineering for increasing M6P contents developed ‘Biobetter’ ERT enzymes with enhanced therapeutic efficacy. M6P-decorated peptides, proteins, liposomes, and nanoparticles have been developed for drug delivery and subcellular imaging. A recently developed lysosome-targeting chimera uses an M6P-based bifunctional binder to degrade specific extracellular and membrane proteins. The success and efficiency of M6P-based lysosomal targeting will boost further technological developments with new applications in the biomedical field.

공기호흡기용 공기충전기의 고순도 필터 시스템에 관한 연구

공기충전기를 통해 충전되는 공기는 불순물이 없고 순수해야 하므로, 수분, oil, 탄화물 등의 이물질을 제거해주는필터의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 필터의 수명은 약 50 h이며, 이 수명을 초과한다면 정화기능이 급격히 감소하므로 주기적으로 교체해야 한다. 하지만 필터를 교체하는 과정에서 경제적, 환경적 문제가 발생하므로 본 연구에서는 필터의 수명 연장(60 h)과 정화기능 강화에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 필터 이전에 이물질 자동배출장치를 설치하였다. 이 장치의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 배출액, 배출 및 수집장치 최대 소음, 필터 수명을 실험 및의뢰분석을 통해 확인하였다. 배출액을 확인하여 자동배출장치의 오염물 배출기능 및 구조의 적합성을 검증하였다. 또한, 최대 소음은 공기충전기 4면 모두 성능 기준인 80 dB 이하로 성능 확인하였다. 최종적으로, 60 h 사용 후 충전된 공기의 질을 분석하였으며, 분석한 모든 수치가 성능 기준 범위 내에 있는 것으로 확인되었다. The air charged through the air charger must be pure and free from impurities; hence, the role of a filter that removes pollutants, such as moisture, oil, and carbides is very important. The lifespan of the filter is approximately 50 h, and if exceeded, the purification function decreases rapidly. Therefore, it must be replaced periodically. However, economic and environmental problems occur in the process of replacing the filter. This study investigated the extension of the filter lifespan (60 h) and enhancement of the purification function. An auto drain system was installed. The pollutant discharge, maximum noise, and lifespan were confirmed through experiments and commissioned inspections to check the performance. The compatibility of the pollutant discharge function and the structure of the auto drain system was verified by checking the discharge of pollutants. In addition, the maximum noise was certified to be less than 80 dB according to the performance-standard. Finally, the charged air quality was analyzed after 60 h of use, and all the analyzed values were confirmed to be within the performance-standard range.
