There are two kinds of cartons for beverage packaging, one is aseptic brick (AB) type and the other is gable top (GT). In this study, AB and GT were used as a raw material of recycled paper to investigate the recyclability at their varied blending ratios. Fiber consistency at pulping decreased as the blending ratio of AB increased. As a result, a lot of fines were generated from AB and flakes from GT increased because shear force in pulper decreased. Bulk of handsheets was more than 2.0 cm3/g, and ISO brightness decreased as the blending ratio of AB increased. The best condition to recycle beverage cartons is to discriminate each cartons separately because of differences in the composition. However, there are problems such as the limit of the collection system and social costs. Therefore, it is assumed that the blending ratios of AB should be adjusted at less than 20% for effective recycling of beverage cartons.

In this study, we have synthesized a lignin/polyaniline composite using a typical conductive polymer as a high value-added biomaterial. Further, the morphological characteristics as well as the chemical and electrochemical properties of the lignin/polyaniline composite were evaluated. The morphological analysis of the composite denoted that polyaniline particles, smaller than the lignin particles, formed near the surface of the lignin particles. In addition, FT-IR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy) analysis of the composite revealed that the intrinsic peaks corresponding to lignin considerably reduced or even disappeared and that the lignin/polyaniline interaction occurred because of the shifting of the main polyaniline peaks. Although the electrochemical properties of lignin were considerably poor, the composite exhibited good characteristics. In particular, the capacitance of lignin, lignin/polyaniline composite, and pure polyaniline were 1.52, 131.75, and 214.44 mF·cm-2, i.e., the capacitance of the composite was lower than that of pure polyaniline but considerably higher than that of lignin. Because the lignin content in the composite was approximately 55%, the resulting capacitance was considered to be good.

As financial transactions using mobile devices have been activated, mobile payment services have appeared and many changes have been made to the existing financial service methods. Due to the simplified payment method of mobile payment service, security threats such as personal information leakage, phishing damage, and malicious code are increasing. Research that can solve this is needed. In this paper, we discuss the features and security factors of mobile payment system. In order to improve the security of mobile payment system, we propose a fault analysis method based on frequency of occurrence using Fault Fishbone Analysis(FFA) technique.

In this study, dual dry strength agents (PVAm and anionic PAM) with fast adsorption rate were used to improve the strength properties of TMP mixed tissue paper which is difficult to retain fines. The retention of fines, formation and strength properties of handsheets were evaluated according to the mechanical beating of pulp slurry and addition level of PVAm and anionic PAM. In addition, dual system and conventional cationic PAM were added before and after beating in order to compare the effect of dry strength agents on the physical properties of handsheets. The dual system (PVAm and anionic PAM) which shows the free conformation of polymer chains based on a simple structure and few steric hindrance compared with conventional cationic PAM, is analyzed to exhibit a better strength enhancement when the fiber length is long before beating, but there was no significant effect on retention. Also, the dual system improved the physical properties of handsheets even when the pulp slurry was beaten to 600 mL CSF to improve the plausibility of fibers. In terms of fines retention, dual system did not show a tendency depending on the dosage of PVAm, however, 3% dosage of PVAm is most appropriate, judging based on the improvement of physical properties of handsheets. Consequentially, the rapid adsorption of PVAm makes it possible to easily change the charge of the fiber surface to strong cationic, and then to induce rapid adsorption of anionic PAM to improve the strength without contamination due to the formation of residual polymeric complex.

The annals of Joseon Dynasty is the most valuable resource containing the record of Korean history and has been known as one of the UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. There was a period that the annals of Joseon Dynasty was used with beeswax to control pests. It is considered as the prior reason of damage on the annals of Joseon Dynasty. Therefore, in this study we examined the restoration paper(Hanji) as the solution of damage in the waxed volume of the annals of Joseon Dynasty. FT-IR spectrometer was used to examine traditional paper inside and outside of Korea and accelerated artificial aging paper. As a result of FT-IR analysis, spectrum did not showed its big difference in all paper used in this study. However, there was a different spectrum in paper which was made with not Broussonetia kazinoki, but Echinochloa crus-galli var. frumentacea and Dioscorea batatas. Among traditional papers in various countries, spectrum of Korean paper showed the most similarity from the annals of Joseon Dynasty. In comparison between accelerated artificial aging paper and waxed volume, we could identify the change of spectrum affected by the damage.
