Supplier selection and evaluation is an important problem to a small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Futhermore, the supplier selection and evaluation is a complex multi-person, multi-criteria decision problem. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) can be a very useful decision making process to help people set priorities and make the best decision when both qualitative and quantitative aspects of a decision need to be considered. This paper presents a AHP-based model for supplier selection and evaluation based on types of production and supplier chain. The use of the proposed model indicates that it can be applied to improve the group decision making in selection a best supplier.

This study suggests an approach of the weighting method in location decision problem of service logistics facility. One of the problems of logisitic management includes the decision of facility location to examine the alternative perspectives. The factors affecting that location problem are divided into qualitative and quantitative. In addition these factors have inner-dependence and/or outer-dependence among them. Three clusters of cost, service level, and accessibility factor were selected for location decision making problem in this study. As a weighting of these factors, a methodology is specially considered on the basis of the Analytic Network Process(ANP).
