결혼이주여성의 동기부여와 콘텐츠 개발 필요성 제언

결혼이주여성들을 위한 다양한 교육 프로그램과 제도적 장치가 마련되고 있지만 그들의 정서적 안정에 부응하지 못하는 면이 있다. 이에 문화예술 체험 등 직접 경험 과정에서 공감을 통한 한국 사회 이해, 여성과 어머니라는 지위를 고려한 소통 기회 제공 등 결혼이주여성의 삶의 질 향상에 도움이 될 수 있는 프로그램을 마련할 필요가 있다. 아울러 그들이 정체성을 지키는 가운데 새롭게 형성되는 정체성도 자부심으로 삼을 수 있는 동기부여가 필요하다. 그동안 결혼이주여성들이 한국에 정착하기 위해 받아왔던 한국어 교육을 통한 한국문화 이해하기 방식에서 벗어남으로써 가능한 부분이 있기 때문이다. 특히 문화예술 향유권은 한 인격체로서 당연히 누려야 할 권리 중 하나이다. 물론 결혼이주여성들이 문화예술 향유를 할 때는 그들의 정체성을 지키면서도 사회 구성원으로서 당당한 삶을 영위하기 위한 것이어야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 이러한 문화예술 경험과 향유 활동에 참여할 수 있는 동기부여가 필요하다. 하지만 이때의 동기부여는 단순히 문화예술을 향유하기 위한 동기 부여가 아니라 ‘생의 의지’와 관련된 동기부여이다. 결국 결혼이주여성들의 문화예술 향유권은 생의 의지를 지키는데 필요한 동기부여의 일부이다. 본 연구에서는 화가 이성자의 생애와 작품을 사례로 삼고 결혼이주여성들의 문화예술 향유를 위한 동기부여를 제시한다. Various educational programs and institutional devices are in place for married migrant women, but they do not live up to their emotional stability as expected. It is necessary to prepare programs that can help improve the quality of life for married migrant women, such as understanding Korean society through empathy and providing opportunities for communication considering their status as a woman and mother in the course of direct experience such as culture and art experience. In addition, they need to be motivated to take pride in the identity that is formed while they protect it. This is because there are some parts that are possible by moving away from the way marriage migrant women understand Korean culture through Korean language education that they have been receiving to settle in Korea. In particular, the right to enjoy culture and arts is one of the rights to be enjoyed as a person. Of course, when married immigrant women enjoy culture and arts, they should keep their identity and lead a confident life as members of society. In order to do so, it is necessary to be motivated to participate in this cultural and artistic enjoyment. However, the motivation at this time is not just an incentive to enjoy culture and art, but a motivation to invoke the will of life. After all, the right to enjoy culture and arts of married immigrant women is a necessary motivation to protect their will to live. In this study, we use the life and work of the artist Lee Sung-ja as examples and present motivations for the enjoyment of culture and art among married migrant women.

본 연구는 스토리텔링의 기존 개념 정의를 고찰하여 그것을 재정의 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그래서 문화의 다양성과 복합성이 다른 어떤 시대보다 활발한 문화현상을 보이는 현대 시점에서는 그것이 어떻게 확장되어 재정립되어야 하는지 그 당위성을 밝힌다. 그 결과, 통시와 공시의 요인에 의해 그것이 다양한 변화를 겪게 될지라도 그 근저에는 변할 수 없는 대상의 이데아가 있으며 그것은 인문적 가치라는 인식을 토대로 한다는 결과를 도출하였다. 그렇기 때문에 문화사에서 스토리텔링 개념의 이해는 중요한 연구수단이 된다. 본고는 무엇보다 스토리텔링의 개념이 문화원형이 드러나는 실제 공간에서의 다양한 표출로 인해 개념 이해에 혼란을 겪어 왔다고 본다. 또한 스토리텔링 용어 차용 역시 다양한 영역에서 이루어지고 있다. 그 차용영역을 살펴보면 범위가 광범위하다는 것을 알 수 있는데, 기업경영스토리텔링, 광고스토리텔링, 농업경영스토리텔링, 관광스토리텔링, 공업스토리텔링, 기계공학스토리텔링 등 융복합적 의미로 차용되고 있다. 이러한 차용이 가속화되고 지속되면 스토리텔링의 본래적 가치가 훼절될 가능성이 있다. 그런데다가 현대의 가장 큰 특징인 부의 창출 수단으로 스토리텔링의 역할이 부각되면서 마케팅 전략에 필수적으로 차용되고 있는 것이 스토리텔링이 되었다. 그렇지만 이러한 과정은 그것의 원천기질로 하여금 변화라기보다는 발전의 노정에 있었다고 보며, 스토리텔링은 현대사회에서 문화의 흐름을 주도하는 한 장르로 발전해 오고 있다고 파악한다. 스토리텔링의 이러한 발전에 근거하여 본 연구는 스토리텔링의 기존 개념에 대한 정의가 어떻게 이루어져 왔는지 정리하고 문화의 다양성과 복합성이 다른 어떤 시대보다 활발한 현대 시점에서는 그것이 어떻게 확장되어 재정립되어야 하는지 플라톤의 이데아 개념을 통해 밝히고자 한다. The storytelling concept source substrate, The value placed by the humanistic significance to that extent a subjective position secured by defining a story reveals the idea through the medium of the targe. Especially, the concept and term of storytelling are borrowed for various areas, exceeding the concept of ‘telling story’ which has been defined since the ancient times. We can see that it is borrowed for such extensive areas as a convergent meaning like corporate management storytelling, advertising storytelling, agricultural management storytelling, tourism storytelling, industry storytelling, and mechanical engineering storytelling. If such borrowing is continued and even accelerated, however, it is highly possible that the original value of storytelling could be thrown away. As the role of storytelling in creating wealth has been emphasized, nowadays storytelling is used essentially for every marketing strategy. Therefore, now, it is necessary to redefine the original functions and value of storytelling. It is very important to consider the original value of storytelling to meet the demands of the time. In the results of the consideration, this article drew out that storytelling is a story pursuing the most essential Idea that can lead communication and empathy. By newly defining the original value of storytelling as ‘Idea of original tendency’, the value of storytelling can be maintained in a way even when it is variously applied and borrowed.

고대 천문현상 관측기록의 검색 DB 구축

We have constructed a database of Korean historical astronomical records. The database contains observational data recorded from BC 2183 to AD 1910. We have also built a webpage for searching through the database based on the following criteria: (1) dynasties (2) astronomical phenomena (3) reigning kings (4) references (5) keywords. Users may select two or more dynasties to search through the database for a certain phenomena, and compare data with those of other dynasties. The queried data can be primarily sorted by one critetion, and secondarily sorted by another, each in ascending or descending order. The search results give dates both in Solar and Lunisolar calendars, years and dates in Sexagenary cycle, dynasties, reigning kings, astronomical phenomena, and references. The database and webpage were constructed under the research project of the Korean Astronomical Data Center (KADC, http://kadc.kao.re.kr) in Korea Astronomy Observatory (KAO).

As a core project of the Korean Astronomical Data Center (KADC) in Korea Astronomy Observatory (KAO), we have constructed a framework of astronomical database using MySQL and JSP. MySQL database server is a powerful open source database management system, and JSP technology provides a simplified, fast way to create dynamic web content. Combined together, MySQL and JSP enable us to develop server-independent web-based applications efficiently in a short amount of time. The MySQL tables and JSP programs embedded in our database are built/written in a way to benefit both users and managers. We plan to expand our database by supplementing additional data in the near future. Our newly constructed database is expected to be the prototype of the Korean Virtual Observatory (KVO).

천문학 카탈로그 자료의 통합검색 DB 구축

We collected eleven large astronomical catalogues, which include 2MASS, USNO B1.0, GSC 2 catalogues and so on. Most of these catalogues are the frequently used by astronomers for all sorts of applications. But the researches are faced with the problem of accessing these databases because these catalogues contain from tens millions up to thousands of millions of records. So we developed a web application system to manage these large catalogues, the main purpose of the web application is to allow a powerful and efficient querying activity on these catalogues through internet by using a simple web interface. User could retrieve the query result in variety of formats including plain text, HTML, Microsoft Excel format (XLS), and VOTable. Furthermore, user also could display and analyze result graphically by using a powerful interactive visualization tools named VOPlot which was developed by the Virtual Observatory-India (VOI) project.

The First Generation Digitized Sky Survey (DSS-I) is a collection of digitized photographic atlases of the night sky taken from the Palomar Observatory (northen sky) and the Anglo-Australian Observatory (southern sky). DSS-I is widely used by the astronomical community for a number of applications including object cross-identification and astrometry. However, accessing and retrieving the actual images are nontrivial owing to the huge size (> 60 GB) of the dataset. To facilitate retrieval process of DSS-I data for the public, Korean Astronomical Data Center (KADC) developed a web application that provides not only data retrieval but also visualization functions. The web application consists of several modules developed using Java Applet, Jave Servlet, and JaveServer Pages (JSP) technologies. It allows users to retrieve images efficiently in various formats such as FITS, JPEG, GIF, and TIFF, and also offers an interactive visulization tool, ImgViewer, for displaying/analyzing FITS images. To use the web application, users require a Java-enabled web browser.
