        세균의 인산 항상성: 인산 수송 단백질들의 역할

        인은 인지질, 탄수화물 및 핵산 등의 생분자 합성에 필요한 원소이다. 세균은 외부환경으로부터 인산이나 인산을 포함하는 영양소를 흡수하여 인을 얻고, 세포대사에 사용되고 남은 인산은 polyphosphate 형태로 저장한다. 현재까지 알려진 다섯 개의 인산 수송 시스템 중, 인산에 특이적으로 높은 친화력을 갖는 Pst 시스템이 가장 중요한 역할을 하며, 그 발현은 세포외부 인산 농도에 반응하는 PhoB-PhoR two component 신호전달 시스템에 의해 조절된다. 반응 조절 단백질 PhoB는 인산 대사뿐 아니라 이와 관계없는 유전자들의 전사를 조절하는 것으로 알려졌으며, 따라서 PhoB의 활성이 조절되지 않으면 많은 종류의 다른 표현형이 나타난다. 본 총설은 각 인산 수송 시스템의 기능이 결여된 세균의 표현형에 대한 최근 연구 결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 내용을 기술하였다. 첫째, 세포 내부 인산의 적정 농도 유지를 위한 인산 수송 시스템들의 역할, 둘째, 인산뿐 아니라 여타 환경 신호와 관련된 수송 시스템의 다양한 표현형, 그리고 마지막으로, 수송 시스템들 간 혹은 그 조절자들 간의 표현형 중복을 분류하여 제시하였다. 이러한 내용은 결국 세균의 대사, 적응반응 및 병원성 발현에 미치는 인산 항상성의 중요성을 강조한다. Phosphorous is an essential element for the synthesis of various biomolecules including phospholipids, carbohydrates and nucleic acids. Bacterial cells can uptake it as forms of phosphate and phosphate-containing nutrients from extracellular environments, and reserve extra phosphate to polyphosphate inside the cell. Among five phosphate transport systems, Pst plays central roles in phosphate transport, and its expression is coordinated by the regulation of PhoB-PhoR two component signal transduction system in response to extracellular levels of phosphate. Genomic studies on the response regulator PhoB reveal many genes independent of phosphate metabolism. Based on recent findings on phenotypes of bacteria lacking proper function of each phosphate transport system, this review discusses roles of phosphate transporters in maintaining optimum intracellular phosphate levels, and presents diverse phenotypes of phosphate transporters related with other environmental signals as well as phosphate, then finally points out functional redundancy among phosphate transport systems or their regulators, which emphasize importance of phosphate homeostasis in governing metabolism, adaptation, and virulence of bacteria.

        국방 기술의 민수화 우선순위 평가 방법론 : 특허 분석 및 계층분석과정 (AHP) 기반

        Dual-use technology, upon its effective development, can be a highly efficient technology that may be utilized for both achieving industry competitiveness and building National Security. Although research needs for such development methodology and call for corresponding efforts have long been proposed, actual outputs have not reached its desired level. Hence, this paper aims to provide more concrete and quantitative process in technology planning used to activate development of dual-use technology, considering dual usability and transferability of such technologies. In such effort, we propose use of patent analysis and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for determining priorities for spin-off defense technology. First, the necessity of R&D and potential spin-off are measured based on patent information. Second, the necessity of R&D results from a quantitative analysis and the potentials spin-off are derived from analysis of patent citations. Then, AHP is used to calculate the importance of evaluating factors, and to assess alternative scores. Finally, we present the result of spin-off priority. A case study on the Korea defense technology is presented to illustrate the proposed method. We expect this study to make contribution in vision making of the military R&D spending. 민군 겸용기술은 민간부문은 물론 군사부문에도 이용되는 기술로 이러한 기술은 산업의 경쟁력 확보와 안보 역량을 동시에 충족한다는 측면에서 볼 때 저비용 고효율의 기술이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 민군 겸용기술 개발을 활성화하기 위한 기술 기획 방법 및 이와 관련된 연구의 필요성은 제기되어 왔으나 실제 이와 관련된 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 민군 겸용기술 개발을 활성화하기 위한 기술 기획에 있어 기술의 겸용성과 이전을 고려한 보다 구체적이고 정량적인 절차를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 특허와 특허 인용 그리고 특허와 산업 연관관계를 바탕으로 한 기술 개발 우선 순위 도출 과정을 체계적으로 제시하였으며 이 과정에서 계층분석 기법을 적용하였다. 제안한 방법의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여 국방 기술분야 중 항공기 무기체계를 대상으로 사례연구를 수행하였으며, 본 연구 결과는 국방 분야 기술 수요 도출시 민수화 가능성이 높은 기술을 제시함으로써 민군 겸용기술을 발굴하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

        국가기록원의 정부간행물 웹 서비스의 한계와 개선 방안

        정부간행물은 국민과 정부 사이의 중요한 커뮤니케이션 매체이자 다양한 정보를 제공하는 정보원이다. 기술의 발달로 정부간행물의 출판형태와 서비스 양상이 급변하고 있지만 우리나라의 정부간행물 서비스는 이러한 변화에 적절히 대응하지 못하고 있다. "공공기록물 관리에 관한 법률"에 따라 국가기록원에서는 각 공공기관으로부터 정부간행물을 납본 받아 공공기록물의 일종으로 수집 관리 서비스 하고 있지만 간행물의 특성을 고려하지 않은 채 서비스가 제공되고 있어 이용에 상당한 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 문헌연구, 정보공개청구, 웹 사이트 조사, 면담 등의 방법을 활용하여 국가기록원 정부간행물 웹 서비스에 대한 전면적 검토와 서비스 개선방안을 제시하였다. 문헌연구에서는 정부간행물의 정의와 유형, 특성과 기능, 관련 정책과 법령을 검토하고 정리하였으며, 웹 서비스 조사의 측면을 도출하였다. 선행연구 분석을 통하여 포괄성, 최신성, 원문 접근성을, 검색 용이성, 검색 체계성 등 5가지 측면의 조사 항목을 설정하였으며, 이에 따라 국가기록원의 정부간행물 웹 서비스의 문제점을 분석하였다. 이렇게 분석된 문제점들을 바탕으로 문제의 원인과 개선방안을 찾기 위하여 발행기관 및 국가기록원의 정부간행물 담당자 면담을 실시하였다. 특히 문제의 원인을 찾고 개선방안을 제안하려면 서비스 단계만을 분석하는 것은 한계가 있다고 판단하여 정부간행물의 생애주기 전반에 걸친 조사 분석을 시도하였다. Government publications, as the important media of communication between the public and the government, have served as informational sources to provide a variety of information. Although technological development led into sharp changes in the types and services of government publications, the Korean service of government publications has yet to respond to the changes properly. The web service of government publications is provided only in the archives-based way with no consideration of the characteristics of the government publications, so that it is considerably difficult to use the service. Therefore, based on literature research, request of information disclosure, website survey, and interviews, this work overhauled the web service of government publications provided by the National Archives of Korea, and suggested an improvement plan of the service. This study is meaningful in the point that it suggested an improvement plan for the web service of government publications, which have been managed as a sort of archives but have been placed in the blind spot of service, through interviews with the persons in charge of government publications in relevant public organizations and the National Archives of Korea.

        다라국 고분군의 수착직물에 관한 연구

        This is a research about the fabrics attached to the remains of the Okjeon old tomb which was built around the early 5th century to the mid of the 6th century. Most of the remains have one kind of fabric attached to them, but there are cases where different sorts of fabrics are attached, where one kind is attached in layers, and there are also cases where the layer is made of different types of fabrics. Although they are made of warps and wefts with no twists, there can be an S twist on the weft or on both the warp and weft, and only one Z twist can be seen. There are 81 fabrics of plain weaved, one of transformed plain weaved and five 4-end complex gauze in these remains. The sparsest plain weaved fabric has the density of 7.4 strands/cm, while the most dense fabric has the density of 148.2x129.1 strands/cm and 0.046x0.061/mm thickness in thread. All the fabrics observed by SEM are hemp except one silk.

        가야의 직물에 관한 연구

        The fabrics attached to the remains of the Okjeon old tomb in the Kaya period were examined. Most of fabrics examined were composed of hemp and silk. Considering that silk was found in the old tomb of the Kaya period in the late 5th century and that various kinds of silk were used in the other area, silk was assumed to be used before 5th century in the Kaya period. Only the structure of the densely plain weaved fabrics were analysed as silk and the other physical properties of the fabrics could not be investigated since the examined fabrics were tightly attached to the metal remains. Although most of the examined fabrics were plain weaved, an altered structure with twill and plain weaving were found indicating that diverse weaving structures were used in the Kaya period. This indicate a certain level of cultural exchange between Kaya and Silla, PaikJae, Kokuryo and weaving technique were almost similar in the Korean peninsula in the 5th century.

        6-[(N-4-플루오로페닐)아미노]-7-클로로-5,8-퀴놀린디온의 in vivo 항진균 작용 평가

        6-[(N-4-Fluorophenyl)amino]-7-chloro-5,8-quinolinedione(RCK3) was tested for antifungal activities, in vivo, against Candida albicans. RCK3 was compared with ketoconazole and fluconazole in the treatment of systemic infection with Candida albicans in normal mice. The therapeutic potential of RCK3 had been assessed by evaluating their activities (survival rate) against systemic infections in normal mice. RCK3 had ED50, 8.78 +/- 0.18mg/kg but ketoconazole and fluconazole had ED50, 8.00 +/- 0.73, 10.00 +/- 0.43mg/kg respectively. Intraperitoneally administered RCK3 at the ED50, 8.78mg/kg for 7 days and 14 days reduced Candida albicans colony count in the kidneys and livers as well as ketoconazole and fluconazole at these ED50, 8.00 and 10.00mg/kg. And administered RCK3 at the ED50 for 14 days improved survival rates better than ketoconazole.

        외부 무기인 농도 변화에 의해 조절되는 pst pit 돌연변이 살모넬라주의 arg 및 art 유전자 전사

        Purpose: Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium) can cause salmonellosis, including gastroenteritis and systemic infection in animal hosts such as humans by diet contamination. To replicate and survive in an animal host, S. Typhimurium must compete against host cells for nutrients. Inorganic phosphate (Pi) is an essential element for all organisms and is used for cellular signal transduction and synthesis of various biomolecules. Thus, systems for uptake and homeostasis of Pi are required for cell metabolism. Uptake of Pi in S. Typhimurium is mainly regulated by components of the high-affinity adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette-transport system Pst and low-affinity transporter Pit. To identify genetic factors contributing to homeostasis of Pi, this study investigated the transcriptional profiles of Salmonella mutants lacking Pst and Pit transporters experiencing changes in extracellular Pi. Materials and Methods: Transcriptome of pst pit mutant S. Typhimurium in response to low (0.1 mM) and high (10 mM) extracellular Pi were compared by cDNA microarray analysis, respectively. Results: The results show that transcription of argI encoding ornithine carbamoyltransferase and artJ encoding arginine third transport system was significantly induced. Conclusion: Data suggest a relationship between arginine metabolism and Pi homeostasis in S. Typhimurium.

        방어기제 관점에서 본 에곤 실레의 작품에 내재된 미술의 치료적 요인에 관한 탐색적 고찰

        The purpose of this study is to understand th therapeutic function of the art by analyzing how the artist’s desire and dissatisfaction were recognized in the form of the defense mechanism, and how such cognitive structure was expressed as the introspection procedure to defend oneself in unfolding of the Egon Schiele’s painting. For this purpose, we researched the Egon Schiele’s life events to undercover the conflict and agony in his life by reviewing the existing literature. Then, we reviewed the concept and types of the defense mechanisms and the maturity level according to the defense mechanisms used. Next, the characteristics of the Egon Schiele’s works best reflecting his life experience and emotions were analyzed, after dividing his works into six stages according to the chronological order. Finally, with the artist’s changed art world, we tried to find the therapeutic factors of the art. As a result, we found the changing trajectory of Schiele’s defense mechanism in his works; from the immature mechanism like identification, to the Narcissistic defense and Neurotic defense like projection, distortion, repression and conversion, and ultimately to the mature defense like the sublimation. Therefore, we concluded that he succeeded in understanding and accepting himself through expression of himself via the art work, and has grown into the mature individual who grew out from the personal problems and defects, which showed the therapeutic aspects of the art.
