근대 어린이운동의 역사가 100년에 이르는 오늘날 어린이운동의 화두는 여전히 현재성을 띤 과제로서 제기되고 있다. 어린이운동의 선구자들이 내세운 어린이 인권과 복지증진, 어린이 교육과 사랑의 정신은 과거사가 아니라, 지금 여기 나아가 미래의 과제인 것이다. 어린이운동의 근본정신을 회고하고 이를 시대적 조건에 맞게 계승하기 위해서는 최초의 어린이운동을 기획하고 추동하였던 주체들의 삶과 사상을 조명하여 그 정신을 분명히 드러낼 필요가 있다. 이 글에서는 어린이날 제정 및 어린이운동과 <어린이>지 발간 등에 앞장섰던 <색동회>의 창립동인 중 그동안 연구와 관심이 비교적 소홀했던 강영호 기본적인 생애(연보)와 발표 작품 사항 들을 중심으로 정리하고자 한다. 강영호 선생은 색동회 창립에 간여한 것은 물론, 그에 앞서 고경인 선생 등과 함께 진주를 배경으로 우리나라 최초의 어린이운동 단체 결성에 이바지하고, 어린이운동이 전국적으로 확산되는 출발점을 제공했다. 뒤늦게나마 선생에 대한 조명작업이 시작되어 2011년에는 진주에 ‘어린이운동발상지’ 기념비가 건립되기도 했다. 이 발표는 특히 강영호 선생의 생애를 기반으로 한 그의 구체적인 사상과 인간됨, 작품의 내용 특성 등을 밝히는 작업에 앞서 기본적인 연보를 확정하기 위한 자료를 정리하는 데 그쳤다. Though the history of the modern children’s movement has been around for 100 years, the topic on children’s movement still keeps presentable. That is, children’s movement has been a static topic till now. This study attempts to summarize Kang, Young-ho’s life history (in a chronological order) who was one of the founding members of “Saekdonghwoi” and spearheaded children’s movement and the campaign to set up “Eorini-nal (Children’s Day)”, and who also contributed to the publication of “Eorini”, a magazine for Children. The study also presents his works. Before Kang, Young-ho was involved in the establishment of Saekdonghwoi”, he contributed to the formation of the first children’s movement group in Korea which was started in Jinju with Ko, Kyeong-in, providing a starting point for spreading the children’s movement across the nation. Since the studies on Kang, Young-ho’s works had been started, the “Monument to the Birthplace of Children’s Movement” was erected in Jinju in 2011 in order to commemorate the children’s movement initiative. This study, however, was just made to present the basic chronological lists about Kang, Young-ho’s works, prior to sorting out his specific ideas, humanity, and the nature of his works based on his life.

추출 방법에 따른 금화규 꽃 추출물의 항산화 활성 및 성분 함량 분석

Aurea helianthus (AH), one of representative warm-temperature plant in southern Korea, is traditionally used in China for various medicinal purposes. The bioactive constituents from aerial parts of the AH leaf and stem as well as flowers have been studied by several researchers showing anti-inflammation, immune-modulatory, antioxidant, and whitening effects. However, the effects of the AH flower on the biological activities for cosmetic application have not been thoroughly investigated. This study reported the possible utilization of AH flower extracts (AHF) with different extraction methods and validated antioxidant and analysis of the bioactive components. The AHF was treated with hot water, cold water, 70% ethanol respectively. Besides component analysis of the extract, the antioxidant activities were determined with 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging and 2,2"-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging assay. The 70% ethanol extracts showed the highest antioxidant activities and active ingredient contents like the total phenolic, flavonoid and sugar and protein contents. Interestingly, collagen contents and free amino acids analysis were determined maximum in the cold-water extracts. Then the diversification and standardization of extraction methods were to be studied further in the future. In summary, AHF are useful plant resources that can provides promising antioxidation and can be used as potential natural cosmetics ingredients and healthy foods.
