Various multimedia contents(e.g. IPTV, VOD and Live Broadcasting) are transmitted through the Internet. Multimedia services using the wireless networks suffer more transmission errors and low transmission speed than those using the wired networks. In this paper, we compare the transmission performance with and without virtual queue(Vqueue) when multimedia streaming is serviced on the wireless networks. In our simulation to transmit MPEG-4 stream using the Vqueue, we set frames priority in I, P and B frame in this order to treat the frames differently depending on the priority. According to our simulation results, transmission performance with Vqueue improves about 24%.

The main purpose of this study is to efficiently analyze appropriate interaction between athlete and coaching leader based on player’s athletic performance improvement by referring to research on the mutual interaction. To this end, the study was conducted on 312 university and general athletes. Collected study materials were analyzed by study methods such as primary factor analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple regression analysis by using the SPSS 19.0 program. As a result, the conclusions are as follows: First, it was concluded that the lower the rank is and the shorter the athletic career is, the more positive perception and athletic tends to have. Second, as a result of regression analysis on interaction between athlete and coaching leader along with communication which has a meaningful impact on positive, intensive, and autonomous athletic performance, while sensible athletic performance is affected by both communication and technique coaching. In conclusion, the more athlete and coaching leader communicate with each other, the more positive impact we can expect on coaching satisfaction and athletic performance. Therefore, the mutual interaction between athlete and coaching leader should be considered a matter of major importance as it has a certain impact on coaching satisfaction and athletic performance.

The advancement of neiwork technology helps expanding the use of multimedia transmissions, especially over the wireless networks. However, the signal attenuation and interference of the wireless networks results in the frequent packet losses, which produces a quality degradation of the media content. In order to tackle the quality degradation problem, many encoding schemes are introduced for transmitting multimedia data over the wireless networks. MPEG-4 is one of the multimedia encoding schemes to use I, p, and B frames in order to transmit video data. This paper analyzes the relationship between the quality of video and the patterns of the three frame types, and compares the quality (with PSNR) of the receiver-side video data transmitted over the wireless networks with applying diverse encoding patterns. In addition, this paper applies the two network transmission approaches, best effort and quality of service (QoS), to compare the video quality with diverse encoding patterns delivered over the wireless networks. According to the simulation results, the wireless network transmission approaches affect the quality of transmitted video, and especially the QoS approach outperforms the best effort by 11% in terms of the PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio).
