        The purpose of this study in order to present a study direction on the bathroom which is growing in the importance of life viewpoint, surveyed the changes according to the study method (survey method, survey objects, the number of objects) and the study skill by the year and the study area - first centering on the theses related to academic theses and dissertations publicized until now - and tried to present a systematic study direction on the bathroom, which would be required in future through categorization. The methods of the study was to collect data related to the journals and theses study and to analyze 115 papers. The data were processed by SPSS PC+ windows version 15.0 program and were analyzed using the frequencies analysis, crosstabulation analysis, and Cluster Analysis are implemented. The results are as follows. It needs repeated research of lifestyle through a changed bathing way by a change of time. And through this research it needs to investigate the actual conditions of present bathrooms. It was thought that the various study methods, including an emotional study method using image or color as well as sentence through the web surfing using the internet in addition to using the existing methods, are needed. The survey method is important in the number of the survey objects as the quantitative study, but it was also thought that the qualitative study, including field observation, focus group interview and interview in depth, has to go abreast appropriately in order to variously accept the opinions of residents. In addition to the development of new study area, a reanalysis plan through the extraction • synthesis of data studied so far has to be conducted because the basic direction was presented. The study on psychology and behavior of children and students, which have not been treated in the survey objects, in addition to adults, housewives, the aged, and the disabled, has to be conducted together. The study on the regulations related to heating and soundproofing, in addition to water supply • draining facilities, ventilation and construction, has to be gone abreast. We sincerely hope that this study is anticipated to be used for the material to present a study direction in order to arrange more systematically the bathroom study.

      • 도시철도의 실내 환경디자인 평가를 위한 체크리스트 개발 : 이동환경관련 법적 설계지침을 기준으로

        This research is to develop the checklist for evaluating indoor environmental design of urban railroad based on the legal design guidelines related to the transportational environment in Japan and Korea. Therefore, we surveyed the current construction standards of railroad facilities and the preceding researches related to the public facilities and railroad facilities. And, based on this survey, we determined the items to be evaluated and criteria and finally developed the basic checklist. By surveying on the first section of Airport line, which has been opened most recently in the Metropolitan area, with this developed checklist, we have completed the final checklist by modifying and making up the inappropriate items for evaluation. The final checklist obtained by this research was as followings. First, looking at the composition of this checklist, it comprises total 249 items and 280 sub-items related to 11 facilities of urban railroad. Second, for evaluation criteria, the number of sub items applicable to Korean construction standards is 213, which is more than that of Japan by 119 items. We observed that this is because that Korean standards for 『Regulations to improve transportation of mobility of handicapped people』 are more segmented than 『Standards for efficient transportation』 of Japan. The developed checklist by this research can be used as fundamental material in selecting the items for the development of survey tools to find out the overall development strategies of interior environment in urban railroad.

      • 키즈 카페 어린이 시설의 안전성 평가를 위한 체크리스트 개발

        This study aims to prepare a suitable checklist for evaluating the facilities for children in Kid‘s cafes, based on the precedent studies about the facilities for infant and children who are the main users of Kid‘s cafes and the regulations for the facility management, and then suggest the base data for installing the facilities for children in Kid‘s cafes and organizing safety control standards. For this, a checklist which emphasized the safety for infants and children most and positively reflected their emotional and behavioral aspects in the evaluation items for the facilities, were organized and suggested. In this checklist with 47 items suggested through this study, the evaluation items for securing the safety and the sanitary facilities for infants and children, which guardians thought most importantly, accounted for the largest portion. This was the content of the standards for facilities which was not included in the standards for the approval of simple business, but this was considered as the essential evaluation items required for the prevention of the safety accidents for infants and children in Kid‘s cafes.

        체크리스트를 통한 공항철도의 이용자 시설평가

        The airport railroad between Seoul and Incheon International Airport, which started to operate in March of 2007, expands choice of customers from previously limited movement through cars and tries to enhance accessibility as well as convenience of customers moving between Seoul and Incheon. The interior design of the airport railroad, regarding its primary purpose, should consider not only the users with permanent restriction, including seniors or the handicapped, but also the ones with temporary restriction, such as the travelers with huge bags or foreigners who are inconvenient with communication in Korean. Hence, this research developed a checklist for evaluating user facilities of airport railroad, this research compared and analyzed「Regulations to improve transportation of mobility handicapped people」, the Korean regulation related to transportation environment, with 「Standards for efficient transportation」, the Japanese regulation pertaining to transportation environment. Based the checklist, it analyzed problems of airport railroad by evaluation and actual survey and suggested ways to improve airport railroad user's convenience upon the result of the survey. According to the result of 3-point Likert scale evaluation on the internal facilities of 11 spaces in 6 stations of railway railroad, the average score of airport railroad was 2.6 point. Among them, ticket barrier had no problems with 3 point, and there were other facilities receiving relatively high score like waiting lounge, escalator, and elevator, with 2.9, 2.8 and 2.7 point respectively. In addition, stairs and platform recorded 2.6 point, while internal slope and restroom for non-handicapped people scored 2.5 point. However, main entrance, ticket machine, and restroom for handicapped people received relatively low score, recording 2.2 point. In particular, facilities close to 3 places in 6 stations were needed to be improved immediately.

        초등학교 실내 환경 개선을 위한 평가요소에 관한 연구 -2005년 이후 개교한 서울특별시 초등학교를 대상으로-

        (연구배경 및 목적) 초등학교의 실내 환경은 학생들의 흥미나 용구를 만족 시키고, 장애우를 포함한 전 학교 구성원들이 안전하고 쾌적한 환경에서 지낼 수 있게 공간이 형성되어야 한다. 그러므로 이를 위하여 초등학교 실내 환경의 개선을 위한 평가기준이 필요하다고 생각되어진다. (연구방법) 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교의 실내 환경의 평가를 위한 기준의 마련을 위하여 한국과 일본의 관련법규 지침 및 선행연구 등의 분석을 토대로 각 공간과 시설에 대한 평가표를 마련하였다. 완성된 평가표로 실측조사를 실시하여, 분석결과를 바탕으로 향후 쾌적한 초등학교의 실내 환경을 도모하기 위한 개선방향을 제시하고자 하였다. (결과) 개발된 평가표의 세부평가 항목은 교수학습영역의 73항목, 지원영역의 항목이 32개였다. 그밖에 생활영역은 119개 항목, 공통영역은 75개 항목으로, 총 299개 항목으로 구성되었다. 영역별 평가표의 내용은 <표 4>부터 <표13>과 같다. 향후에는 심미성 측면의 개선을 위한 평가항목과 함께 이용자 시점에서 실내 환경에 대한 만족도 및 요구도를 파악하는 조사도 함께 시행되어 종합적인 개선사항을 파악하는 노력이 필요하다고 생각된다. (Background and Purpose)Elementary school facilities should be spaces that are dedicated to satisfying the interests and desires of students. On top of that, all school members, including students with disabilities, should enjoy a safe and clean environment. Thus, there is a need for an elementary school interior checklist that would promote unity among the school`s community and propel it in the direction of learning and an overall life education. (Method) Therefore, this study assesses the interior environments of elementary schools. A checklist was developed through an analysis of Korean and Japanese regulatory guidelines and previous studies. The checklist was designed to assess elementary school facilities and analyze problems based on this assessment. (Result)The checklist was broadly categorized into teaching and learning areas, life areas, support areas, and common areas. The teaching and learning areas of the checklist comprised 73items, support areas 32 items, life areas 119 items, and common areas 75 items, with a total of 299 items. The results are displayed in Table 3 through Table 12.In the future, it will be necessary to evaluate overall synthetic improvements by creating assessment items concerning aesthetic aspects and by conducting research to assess user satisfaction and desire concerning interior design.

        도시철도 차량 실내의 이용자 시설 평가와 개선방향

        User-oriented Design is necessary in planning the interior design of Metropolitan Railroads trains, since this is a typical means of transportation in this modern society and all ages people with different body scale use this facility. However, there are little studies about facility panning and zoning of Metropolitan Railroads train considering users. Therefore, in this study, after completing the checklist based on the current legal standards of facility installation of South Korea and Japan, we examined user’s facility and suggest several improvement of the opening 14 metropolitan railroad lines in Seoul. Then, we evaluated this facilities according to 41 standards; general facility(24 standards), safety facility(4 standards), guide facility(11 standards), other facility(4 standards). The result of this study may be summarized as follows. 1) General facility has to be designed to obtain lots of room for storage and this facility should be fixed up tightly with secure system. 2) Safety facility should be designed to minimize a difference of floor-level between threshold of train and ground. Also, using various color and material could help passengers to distinguish different space and facility. 3) Guide facility should be designed to guide passengers to the accurate direction with proper sign design in the pathway of Metropolitan railroad train. Also, more various color, which based on the research about physiological and psychological effect, should be used to guide people. 4) Other facility should equip more visual system using common good and informative contents. Through this study, we try to understand the current interior physical condition of Metropolitan Railroads trains. However, for future studies, it is expected to supplement evaluation standards considering aesthetic design, environmental improvement of indoor air quality and the satisfaction and demand of Metropolitan Railroads trains.

        초등학교 실내디자인의 사례분석을 통한 개선안의 제시 -2005년 이후 개교한 서울특별시 초등학교를 대상으로-

        (Background and Purpose) As the increased number of women in education and the work force has led to a dramatic drop in the national birth rate, it has also seen an expansion in parental expectations of children and interest in elementary facilities. However, the educational office’s Elementary Facilities Department has continued its policy of implementing “interior design standards within architectural law but without separate design guidelines for elementary facilities.”(Method) Therefore, this study attempted to investigate whether the interior designs of elementary schools are suitable for their students. The analysis of interior design was executed by choosing two distinct areas from the teaching and learning areas, support areas, life areas, and common areas, and then focusing on the finishing materials and the colors of the floors, walls, and ceilings. (Results) The results of the interior and overall design analysis, focusing on the finishing materials and the colors of the floors, walls, ceilings, revealed that all of the areas, except the general classrooms and libraries, were constructed in a similar fashion. Unlike previous school painting schemes, the subject schools used various colors for different areas. Further studies should be conducted to include managerial areas and external spaces to more fully evaluate the overall conditions. (연구배경 및 목적) 여성의 교육수준 향상과 사회진출 증가로 각 가정의 평균출산율이 급격히 저하하면서 학부모들의 자녀에 대한 기대감과 초등학교 시설에 대한 관심이 고조되었다. 그러나 초등학교 시설을 담당하는 교육청의 지침을 보면 시설에 대한 구체적인 설계지침 없이‘관련 건축법규의 범위에서의 실내디자인의 수준’이라는 기준으로 일관해 오고 있다. (연구방법) 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교 실내디자인이 아동에게 적합하게 계획되어 있는지를 실측 조사하고 결과를 고찰하였다. 결과의 분석은 대분류 학습교수영역, 지원영역, 생활영역, 공통영역에서 차별화가 인정된 2공간을 각각 선정하여, 바닥, 벽, 천장의 마감재와 색채를 중심으로 정리하였다. (결과) 마감재는 일반교실과 도서실을 제외한 공간에서 전반적으로 유사하게 계획되어 있으며, 벽과 천장은 모두 동일한 재료가 사용되었다. 그리고 색채는 과거의 초등학교 보다 다양한 색채가 계획되는 경향이 뚜렷했다. 향후, 관리영역과 옥외시설을 포함한 초등학교 전반으로 조사범위를 확대하여 시설에 대한 종합적인 검토가 필요하다고 생각되어진다.

      • 수도권 도시철도 차량의 실내 환경디자인 평가 도구 개발

        This study aims to develop a check list for environment evaluation on railroad-cars of the urban railroad, which is the most commonly used transportation method. For this purpose, the developed check list is categorized as follows: twenty-two general facilities, eleven guidance facilities, four safety facilities, and two miscellaneous facilities, which amounts to the total of 39 items. In order to qualify adequacy of the items in the developed check list, on the basis of the standard of item development and evaluation, the present practices and precedent studies related to transportation environments in Korea and Japan were examined. As for the items not explicitly specified in the installation standard of the practice, findings in precedent studies on public transportation and public facilities were taken as the bases. The results of evaluation and actual measurement via the check list were evaluated in 3-point Likert scale evaluation. The check list developed in this study can be used as an instrument for actual measurement to evaluate improvement of the interior environment of the urban railroad-cars afterwards. Furthermore, the check list can be used as the basic materials for developing a systematic evaluation measure on the aesthetic perspective about the railroad-cars" interior environment and on the users" satisfaction with and demand for facilities.
