Single-pass flow-through (SPFW) 방법에 의한 유리고화체의 용해율 측정에서 정밀도를 구하기 위하여 연구소간 실험프로그램의 하나로서 붕규산유리고화체의 정용해율을 구하였는데, 이 SPFT 방법은 American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)에서 표준화를 위하여 작성되었다. 이를 위해 100/200 mesh 크기의 모의 저방사능 유리고화체 분말시료를 $70^{\circ}C$, 알곤 분위기에서 SPFT 방법으로 리튬 완충용액 (pH=10)을 이용하여 용해실험을 시도하였다. 얻어진 용출액 중 규소와 붕소의 농도에 따라 용해율의 변화를 구한 결과, 유리의 정용해율이 $2.7\times10^{-5}g{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^-1$ 부근으로 나타났다.

저자들은 생후 3개월부터 심한 성장장애를 보였던 남아가 14개월에 두 개 내 종양에 의해 발생한 간뇌증후군으로 진단되었기에 보고하는 바이다. 소아에서 적당한 양을 섭취하고 식욕이 유지됨에도 불구하고 현저한 성장장애와 체중 증가 부진을 보이는 경우에는 간뇌증후군의 감별이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. A 14-month-old child visited emergency room with stuporous mental state. He had been suffering from failure to thrive (FTT) and emaciation since three months of age, but he had good appetite and had been euphoric. A large mass was found in the third ventricle by brain CT and MRI. His parents refused operative removal of the mass and he expired 14 days after admission. It is necessary to include diencephalic syndrome in the differential diagnosis of failure to thrive when infants show FTT despite of good appetite and euphoric status.
PRICE 모텔을 이용한 무기체계 경제수명 결정에 관한 연구

This paper aims at efficient determining the economic life of weapon systems. Specifically, the procedure to estimate the life cycle cost at initial acquisition state or at development state using the PRICE model is proposed. The PRICE model is a parametric cost estimation which is widely used in the field of national defense. The model includes the estimation of the cost in life cycle of weapon systems such as research and development, acquisition, operation and support. Using this model, economic life of weapon systems can be determined. Based on an equivalent annual cost (EAC) method which sums the capital recovery with return (CR) and the equivalence cost (EC), the economic life will be calculated. A case study is accomplished to illustrate the proposed procedure.

지난 50년간 전국에서 발생한 산불발생건수와 연강수량, 연강수일수 및 산불조심기간 중 강수량, 건조주의보 발령일수와의 관계를 분석하였다. 산불발생건수는 연강수량과 연강수일수와 매우 깊은 관련이 있었으나 특히, 산불조심기간 중 강수량과 건조주위보 발령일수와 더 많은 연관성이 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 특히, 2000년대의 경우 `90년대에 비해 연강수량, 연강수일수 및 산불조심기간 중 강수량이 많았으나 산불조심기간 중 건조주의보 발령일수가 `90년대에 비해 많으므로 인해 산불발생건수는 오히려 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 50년간 산불조심기간 중 월별강수량 변화에 의하면 2월, 3월, 11월의 월평균강수량은 지속적으로 감소하고 있어 산불발생건수는 크게 증가하고 있으며 반면에, 12월과 5월의 월평균강수량은 지속적으로 증가하고 있어 다른달에 비해 산불발생건수는 소폭 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 1월과 4월의 경우 `90년대까지 지속적으로 월평균강수량이 감소하다 2000년대에 들어 다시 증가하고 있어 산불발생위험성이 다소 감소될 것으로 보이나 과거 통계상 산불발생률이 높은 기간이므로 지속적인 주의가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. The analytical results of the occurrences of forest fires with annual precipitation and durations, precipitation and durations during warned period of forest fire, drought warning in past 50 years showed that the occurrences had more relevance on precipitation and rained days during warned period of forest fire than annual precipitation and rained days a year. During 2000s, the annual precipitation and rained days a year and the precipitation and rained days during warned period of forest fire were larger than 1990s, but the occurrences of the fire were increased because of the larger number of drought warnings. According to monthly average precipitation during warned period of forest fire and the occurrences of forest fire in past 50 years, monthly average precipitation in February, March, November were consistently decreased, so the occurrences of forest fires expected to be increased. And the monthly average precipitation in December and May, increased continuously then the actual occurrences of forest fires were decreased. The monthly average precipitation in January, April were continuously decreased until 1990s, but were increased recently in 2000s. The riskiness of forest fire declined a little bit since 2000s due to the increased precipitation, but continuous cautions were required because of statistics of occurrence rates.

Number of subway train units that Seoul Metropolitan Subway Corporation as at September 2005 is 1,944 on 4 routes from 60 units at the time of commencement of operation, having grown exponentially. Along with increase in the number of passengers the role of subway as safer and expedient means of transportation is now being required. Furthermore, the Corporation has been researching on means of improving the safety and reliability of subway entry/exit doors which has become an essential task and directly effect the safety of the passengers. In this Study, has developed sensory control system for the entry/exit door of the subway train using non-contact proximity sensor as a part of review of and measures against various issues of entry/exit door of the subway trains currently under operation. In addition, this sensor system was verified through test production and tests. If this technology becomes commercialized and practically utilized in the future, it would be able to make definite contribution to the safer transportation of passengers.

Kinetic tests on pyrolysis of polypropylene were carried out by thermo gravimetric technique heating the sample at the rates of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0℃/min in a stirred batch reactor. The activation energy and the reaction order were determined at conversions from 1 to 100%. The activation energies increased slowly from 208 kJ/mol to 288 kJ/mol and the reaction order was 0.01. Polypropylene was thermally cracked in a semi-batch reactor at 410-430℃ for 60 minutes. As the reaction temperature increased, the yields of product oil increased. However, the selectivity of specific hydrocarbons was not observed.
