NINJ1 triggers extravillous trophoblast cell dysfunction through blocking the STAT3 signaling pathway

        Zhang Xueluo,Chen Yanhua,Wang Xianping,Zhang Zhiping,Wang Jun,Shen Yan,Hu Yuanjing,Wu Xueqing 한국유전학회 2022 Genes & Genomics Vol.44 No.11

Background: Trophoblasts are the most important parts of the placenta in early pregnancy. Trophoblast cell dysfunction can induce embryo implantation insufficiency, thereby resulting in multiple diseases, including recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). A previous study indicates higher nerve injury-induced protein 1 (NINJ1) RNA levels in the villi tissues of RSA patients. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of NINJ1 on trophoblast behaviors and pregnancy loss. Methods: Fresh villi tissues were obtained from with RSA patients and patients with artificial selective abortion for personal reasons, and NINJ1 expression in these tissues was detected. Extravillous trophoblast cell line HTR-8/SVneo was transfected with small-interfering RNA targeting NINJ1 or NINJ1 overexpression vector to perform loss-/gain-of-function experiments. Spontaneous abortion (SA) was induced by mating CBA/J females with DBA/2 males and the pregnant females were intraperitoneally injected with adenovirus vector carrying NINJ1 short hairpin RNA. Results: NINJ1 mRNA and protein levels were higher in the villi tissues of RSA patients than those of artificial selective abortion patients. NINJ1 knockdown promoted trophoblast cell proliferation, migration and invasion but inhibited cell apoptosis. Moreover, conditioned medium from NINJ1-depleted trophoblasts promoted the angiogenesis of human umbilical vein endothelial cells. NINJ1 knockdown also promoted activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling pathway in trophoblasts, and STAT3 inhibitor reversed NINJ1 knockdown-induced effects on trophoblast behaviors. Furthermore, pregnancy loss was attenuated by NINJ1 inhibition. Conclusion: NINJ1 contributes to the development of SA and triggers trophoblast cell dysfunction through inhibiting the STAT3 pathway.

Simpler Efficient Group Signature Scheme with Verifier-Local Revocation from Lattices

( Yanhua Zhang ),( Yupu Hu ),( Wen Gao ),( Mingming Jiang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.1

Verifier-local revocation (VLR) seems to be the most flexible revocation approaches for any group signature scheme, because it just only requires the verifiers to possess some up-to-date revocation information, but not the signers. Langlois et al. (PKC 2014) proposed the first VLR group signature based on lattice assumptions in the random oracle model. Their scheme has at least O(n2)·logN bit group public key and O (n) ·log N bit signature, respectively. Here, n is the security parameter and N is the maximum number of group members. In this paper, we present a simpler lattice-based VLR group signature, which is more efficient by a(log)ONfactor in both the group public key and the signature size. The security of our VLR group signature can be reduced to the hardness of learning with errors (LWE) and small integer solution (SIS) in the random oracle model.

Facile preparation of antifouling g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 nanocomposite photocatalytic polyvinylidene fluoride membranes for effective removal of rhodamine B

        Yanhua Cui,Lili Yang,Minjia Meng,Qi Zhang,Binrong Li,Yilin Wu,Yunlei Zhang,Jihui Lang,Chunxiang Li 한국화학공학회 2019 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.36 No.2

A simplified strategy for facilely fabricating antifouling graphite carbon nitride/silver phosphate (g-C3N4/ Ag3PO4) nanocomposite photocatalytic polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) porous membranes was developed for effective removal of rhodamine B (RhB). g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 heterojunction was strongly fixed to the interior of the PVDF membranes via phase inversion method. The membrane structure was analyzed by Fourier transform spectrophotometer (FT-IR). The morphology of the prepared membranes was investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), EDX-mapping and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. All prepared nanocomposite photocatalytic PVDF membranes exhibited a typically porous structure, and g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 nanocomposites were well dispersed inside the membranes. The obtained g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 heterojunction nanoparticle decorated PVDF membrane had a lower water contact angle of 79o and higher porosity of 85% than that of other two control membranes. The nanocomposite photocatalytic PVDF porous membranes had extremely high permeation flux over 1,083 L·m−2·h−1, and could be used for the removal of RhB. The removal efficiency of g-C3N4/Ag3PO4-PVDF membranes towards RhB solution under visible light irradiation reached 97%, higher than that of the pure PVDF membranes (41%) and g-C3N4-PVDF membranes (85%). Remarkably, the flux performance and flux recovery ratio (FRR) of membranes revealed that the g-C3N4/Ag3PO4- PVDF membranes could recover high flux after fouling, which presented better fouling resistance. Furthermore, the fabricated antifouling g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 nanocomposite photocatalytic PVDF porous membranes exhibited excellent recyclability. Therefore, it is expected that g-C3N4/Ag3PO4-PVDF membranes could provide an energy-saving strategy for effective removal of organic dyes wastewater and have a great potential for practical wastewater treatment in the future.

Impact of electrolyte additives (alkali metal salts) on the capacitive behavior of NiO-based capacitors

        Yong Zhang,Lizhen Wang,Aiqin Zhang,Yanhua Song,Xiaofeng Li,Xingbing Wu,Peipei Du,Lv Yan 한국화학공학회 2011 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.28 No.2

To improve the specific capacitance and energy density of electrochemical capacitor, nanostructured NiO was prepared by high temperature solid-state method as electrode material. The crystal structure and morphology of as-parepared NiO samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurement was applied to investigate the specific capacitance of the NiO electrode. Furthermore,a novel mixed electrolyte consisting of NaOH, KOH, LiOH and Li_2CO_3 was prepared for the NiO capacitor, and the component and concentration of the four different electrolytes was examined by orthogonal test. The results showed that the NiO sample has cubic structure with nano-size particles, and the optimal composition of the electrolyte was: NaOH 2 mol L^(−1), KOH 3 mol L^(−1), LiOH 0.05 mol L^(−1), and Li_2CO_3 0.05 mol L^−1. At a scan rate of 10 mV s^(−1), the fabricated capacitor exhibits excellent electrochemical capacitive performance, while the specific capacitance and the energy density were 239 F g^(−1) and 85 Wh kg^(−1), which was higher than one-component electrolyte.

      • An Access Control Mechanism based on Permission Delegation in P2P Network

        ZHANG Changyou,LIU Renfen,CAO Yuanda,LI Yanhua,CUI Liang 보안공학연구지원센터 2008 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.2 No.2

P2P(Peer-to-Peer) is a popular model in distributed computing. We present an access control mechanism based on permission delegation in this paper. This mechanism consists of three protocols, i.e. agency discovering protocol, permission delegating protocol and resource access protocol. Firstly, the task initiator decomposes the task into subtasks and chooses other peers in high trust degree with satisfied abilities to accomplish these subtasks. We call these neighbors as task agents. Then task initiator temporarily transfers some necessary permission to subtask agents by means of credit certificate and delegation certificate. Finally, the subtask agents consume resources of resource peers followed access protocol. These protocols are analyzed in Colored Petri-Net, and simulated with CPN Tools.

      • Joint Optimization Method Combining Genetic Algorithm and Numerical Algorithm Based on MATLAB

Yanhua Guo,Feifei Liu,Ning Zhang,Tao Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.11

A two-bar plane truss is builtin MATLAB based on mathematical model. Then the authors use genetic algorithm toolbox to solve this problem. The parametric truss model is set up in the finite element analysis software ANSYS. It is analyzed by first-order algorithm. The comparison of two kinds results show the pure genetic algorithm doesn’t always have an advantage over other algorithms. In the end, a joint optimization method is put forward on the basis of genetic algorithm. It combines genetic algorithm based on MATLAB toolbox and numerical algorithm based on quasi-Newton method. This method is illustrated by the numerical example of the two-bar plane truss. The results show this joint optimization method can get the global optimal solution of this problem every time.

Human Reliability Analysis for Digitized Nuclear Power Plants: Case Study on the LingAo II Nuclear Power Plant

        Yanhua Zou,Li Zhang,Licao Dai,Pengcheng Li,Tao Qing 한국원자력학회 2017 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.49 No.2

The main control room (MCR) in advanced nuclear power plants (NPPs) has changed from analog to digital control system (DCS). Operation and control have become more automated, centralized, and accurate due to the digitalization of NPPs, which has improved the efficiency and security of the system. New issues associated with human reliability inevitably arise due to the adoption of new accident procedures and digitalization of main control rooms in NPPs. The LingAo II NPP is the first digital NPP in China to apply the stateoriented procedure. In order to address issues related to human reliability analysis for DCS and DCS + state-oriented procedure, the Hunan Institute of Technology conducted a research project based on a cooperative agreement with the LingDong Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. This paper is a brief introduction to the project.

Static and Seismic Experimental Study of Novel Prefabricated Beam-Column Joints with Elongated-Hole Brackets

        Zhang Zhiwei,Li Dong,Wang Huajie,Li Songling,Qian Hongliang,Bi Yanhua,Wang Guoxing,Jin Xiaofei,Fan Feng 한국강구조학회 2024 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.24 No.1

To enhance the structural connectivity of prefabricated steel frame systems and augment their construction effi ciency, this study introduces an innovative prefabricated joint design tailored for square steel columns and H-beams characterized by varying beam heights. This study includes both static loading tests and seismic tests performed on full-scale joints featuring two diff erent beam heights. This investigation involved a comprehensive analysis of the static and seismic performance of the joints, employing various performance metrics such as ultimate load capacities, ultimate rotation angles, hysteresis curves, skeleton curves, stiff ness degradation curves, and ductility coeffi cients, in alignment with established structural codes and standards. The results indicate that the plasticity of the H-beam is fully developed, exhibiting a relative slip phenomenon. Additionally, the joints demonstrate commendable rotational capacity, with hysteresis curves consistently manifesting an inverse S-shape and exhibiting noteworthy stiff ness degradation. Furthermore, the comparison with the unimproved joint shows that the novel joint, in addition to being easy to construct, has better ductility and energy dissipation capacity. The results of the study will provide a technical reference for further optimization and application of prefabricated beam-column joints.

Isolation and Characterization of a Putative Vacuolar Na+/H+ Antiporter Gene from Zoysia japonica L.

        Yanhua Du,Qian Hei,Yaxin Liu,Hui Zhang,Kai Xu,Tao Xia 한국식물학회 2010 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.52 No.4

A Na+/H+ antiporter gene from Zoysia japonica (ZjNHX1) which is a member of plant NHX-genes family was cloned by reverse-transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE)technology. The isolated cDNA is 2,421 bp in length and contains one open-reading frame (ORF) which comprises 540amino acid residues and shows higher homology with other plant Na+/H+ antiporters. ZjNHX1 could partially complement the salt-sensitive phenotypes of Δnhx1 and Δena1-4Δnhx1 yeast mutants in the presence of NaCl, KCl, and LiCl. The expression of ZjNHX1 in Z. japonica increased after NaCl treatment and this result accords with that of Na+contents determination under the same treatment. These results implied that ZjNHX1 functions as a vacuolar Na+/H+antiporter and plays an important role in salt tolerance and ion homeostasis in Z. japonica.
