Opportunistic Scheduling with QoS Constraints for Multiclass Services HSUPA System
Dan Liao,Lemin Li 한국전자통신연구원 2007 ETRI Journal Vol.29 No.2
This paper focuses on the scheduling problem with the objective of maximizing system throughput, while guaranteeing long-term quality of service (QoS) constraints for non-realtime data users and short-term QoS constraints for realtime multimedia users in multiclass service highspeed uplink packet access (HSUPA) systems. After studying the feasible rate region for multiclass service HSUPA systems, we formulate this scheduling problem and propose a multi-constraints HSUPA opportunistic scheduling (MHOS) algorithm to solve this problem. The MHOS algorithm selects the optimal subset of users for transmission at each time slot to maximize system throughput, while guaranteeing the different constraints. The selection is made according to channel condition, feasible rate region, and user weights, which are adjusted by stochastic approximation algorithms to guarantee the different QoS constraints at different time scales. Simulation results show that the proposed MHOS algorithm guarantees QoS constraints, and achieves high system throughput.

Network virtualization technology plays a key role in cloud computing, which serves as an effective approach for provisioning a flexible and highly adaptable shared substrate network to satisfy the demands of various applications or services. Recently, the problem of mapping a virtual network (VN) onto a substrate network has been addressed by various algorithms. However, these algorithms are typically efficient for unicast service-oriented virtual networks, and generally not applicable to multicast service-oriented virtual networks (MVNs). Furthermore, the survivable MVN mapping (SMVNM) problem that considers the survivability of MVN has not been studied and is also the focus of this work. In this research, we discuss SMVNM problem under regional failures in the substrate network and propose an efficient algorithm for solving this problem. We first propose a framework and formulate the SMVNM problem with the objective of minimizing mapping cost by using mixed integer linear programming. Then we design an efficient heuristic to solve this problem and introduce several optimizations to achieve the better mapping solutions. We validate and evaluate our framework and algorithms by conducting extensive simulations on different realistic networks under various scenarios, and by comparing with existing approaches. Our simulation experiments and results show that our approach outperforms existing solutions.

This paper shows a new kind of push-pull switching converter for fuel-cell system and analyses the connected characteristics of it. In these characteristics, we are concerned about the high harmonic rate of output current, we also have designed the filter system for the inverter. Besides, the characteristics should be certified better if the ripple of the fuel-cell output current has been eliminated.
ECG PVC Classification Algorithm based on Fusion SVM and Wavelet Transform
Huang Dong,Liao Zhengquan,Li Changbin,Li Dan,Huang Wendong 보안공학연구지원센터(IJSIP) 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.1
In the process of ventricular premature beat (PVC) and normal sinus rhythm (NSR) identification base on electrocardiogram (ECG), there exists problems like negative effect from ECG rhythm and low recognition rate. This paper proposes the electrocardiogram PVC classification algorithm based on support vector machine (SVM) and wavelet algorithm. The algorithm uses the wavelet transform to analyze ECG beating model, which is not influenced by the change of ECG waveform. The two feature sets respectively compose of statistical parameters of the wavelet coefficients and the selected wavelet coefficients. PVC and NSR are analyzed by using SVM. The experimental results show that this method improves the recognition rate of ECG.

A prototype 120 Hz 110-inch ultra-high-definition a-Si liquid crystal display (LCD) panel was successfully developed using the BOE exclusive advanced superdimensional switching technology. This LCD has a panel consisting of 3840 × 2160 pixels, four times the number of pixels in the conventional full-high-definition LCD. For the brightness and contrast ratio, 1000 nits and 1200:1 have been achieved, respectively. Additionally, the liquid crystal charging time has been extended through quad area driving and 2G2D line structures. Furthermore, the local dimming and mirror-scanning techniques are applied to realize excellent image display. Finally, the system utilizes 3D shutter glasses, allowing the viewer to achieve the highest sense of realness and immersion.

Objective: Cold stress induces oxidative damage and impairs energy status of broilers. N-acetylcysteine (NAC) exhibits antioxidant properties and modulates energy metabolism of animals. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of NAC on energy status and antioxidant capacity of heart and liver in the cold-stressed broilers. Methods: The experiment consisted of 4 treatments in a 2×2 factorial arrangement with two diets (basal diet or plus 0.1% NAC) and two ambient temperatures (thermoneutral [conventional ambient temperature] or cold stress [10°C±1°C during days 15 to 42]). Results: No ascites were seen in cold-stressed broilers. NAC did not attenuate the impaired growth performance of stressed birds. However, NAC decreased plasma asparagine but increased aspartate levels in cold-stressed birds (p<0.05). NAC reduced hepatic adenosine triphosphate (ATP) but elevated adenosine diphosphate contents in unstressed birds (p< 0.05). The hepatic ratio of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to ATP was increased in birds fed NAC (p<0.05). NAC decreased plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) level and cardiac total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) activity in unstressed birds, but increased hepatic activities of T-SOD, catalase and glutathione peroxidase in stressed birds (p<0.05). NAC down-regulated hepatic AMP-activated protein kinase but up-regulated cardiac heme-oxigenase mRNA expression in stressed birds, and decreased expression of hepatic peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor coactivator-1α as well as hypoxia-inducible factor-1α in liver and heart of birds. Conclusion: Dietary NAC did not affect energy status but enhanced the hepatic antioxidant capacity by increasing the activities of antioxidant enzymes in cold-stressed broilers.

In this paper, a three phase cycloconverter type high frequency AC link inverter is discussed. The configuration consists of a high frequency full-bridge inverter and a high frequency transformer followed by a three phase cycloconverter whose switch is composed of anti-series connected MOSFETs with a common source. A simple digital control strategy based on space vector modulation (SVM) and repetitive control for the cycloconverter is proposed although its input voltage is a high frequency AC pulse. The operation principle of the proposed control strategy is analyzed and the equivalent working modes during one interval are also presented. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified through Matlab/Simulink simulations and experiments on a 1.45㎾ prototype.

Miss Ying Ying Liao,Dr. Ebrahim Soltani,Dr. Dan Alex Petrovici 세계문화관광학회 2010 Conference Proceedings Vol.11 No.0
The aim of this study is to explore the influence of Chinese cultural values on service expectations and service determinants from customer perspective. The study utilised an extensive survey-based quantitative methodology and collected 524 questionnaires from two different types of customer across three regions of northern, middle, and southern Taiwan: the five star chain hotel restaurants and the local chain restaurants. The findings are categorised into two structural models. Overall, the findings suggest that academics and practicing managers need to move beyond the Hofstede paradigm if today‘s borderless and wireless cross-cultural management has a chance to be understood and theorized.
A Game theoretic analysis of public goods allocation in p2p networks
( Qingfeng Zhang ),( Sheng Wang ),( Dan Liao ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.8
This paper presents a game theoretic approach to analyze the public goods (PGs) allocation in peer-to-peer (p2p) networks. In order to reduce the free-riders and promote the cooperation among peers, we propose an incentive mechanism with cooperation-based game theory. In this paper, we regarded the contributed resources by cooperators as public goods (PGs). We also build the PGs allocation in P2P networks to be the optimization problem, and the optimal solution of PGs allocation satisfies the Bowen-Lindahl-Samuelson equilibrium. Firstly, based on the subscriber mechanism, we analyze the feasibility and prove the validity, which can achieve Nash equilibrium. However, this strategy cannot meet to Bowen-Lindahl-Samuelson equilibrium as the free-riders do not pay with their private goods for consuming the PGs. Secondly, based on the Walker mechanism, we analyze the feasibility and prove the validity for the same allocation problem, which meets to Bowen-Lindahl-Samuelson equilibrium and achieves Pareto efficiency within cooperative game. Simulations show that the proposed walker mechanism can significantly improve the network performance of throughout, and effectively alleviate free-riding problem in P2P networks.
