청소년 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 정신건강요인 = A study on the influencing mental health factors to suicidal ideation in adolescents

This study aimed to investigate the influencing mental health factors to suicidal ideation in adolescents. Data were obtained from 550 adolescents studying at six high school in Pusan area, using questionnaire which consists of questions on sociodemographic characteristics, mental health factors, and suicidal ideation. Collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson r, stepwise Multi-regression. The main results were as follows. First, the lower subjective economy status, subjective academic achievement, and satisfaction of subjective appearance, parent relationship, sibling relationship, peer relationship contributed to significantly higher suicidal ideation. Second, depression, anxiety, hostility, and obsessive-compulsive were reliable prominent variables that predicted the severity of suicidal ideation(F=49.815, p=.000, R2=28.6). The research results can be applied for the improvement of high-risk adolescent's suicide screening and the development of psychological support for adolescent's suicide prevention programs were suggested. The implications and Limitations of these findings were discussed and directions for future studies were also proposed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 정신건강요인을 분석하여 자살위험이 높은 청소년을 선별하고 예방하는 방안을 마련하는데 목적이 있다. 부산광역시에 소재한 고등학교 6개교(일반계 4개교, 전문계 2개교)의 1, 2, 3학년 550명을 대상으로 조사한 결과를 토대로 단계적 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 인구사회학적 변인에 따른 자살생각의 차이를 분석한 결과 주관적 경제상태, 학업성적, 그리고 주관적 외모만족도가 낮을수록 자살생각이 유의하게 높았으며, 부모, 형제, 친구관계에 대해 불만족할수록 자살생각이 유의하게 높았다. 둘째, 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 정신건강변인으로 우울, 불안, 적대감, 강박증이 확인되었으며(F=49.815, p=.000), 26.8%의 설명력을 보여주었다. 이상의 연구결과를 통하여 청소년 자살생각을 예할 수 있는 정신건강요인을 사전에 파악함으로써 청소년의 건강한 정신건강과 함께 자살로 인한 이차적인 문제를 예방할 수 있으리라 사료된다. 아울러 연구결과에서 보여준 인구사회학적 변수와 우울, 불안, 적대감, 강박증의 정신건강 요인이 포함된 선별검사를 통해 청소년 자살예방을 위한 적극적인 심리적 지원프로그램 운영 등에 대해 제언한다.
