그림책 읽기 후 역할극 활동이 유아의 존댓말 학습에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Post-picture Book Reading Role Play Activities on Young Children`s Learning of Honorific Expressions

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of post-storybook reading role plays on young children`s acquisition of honorific expressions. The participants were 44 five-year-old children in Kyunggi province, and they were divided into two groups. Both group participated in storybook reading activities but carried out different post-reading activities. The experimental group performed role play activities whereas the control group talked about the story as a group. The results of this study were as follows. The post-test scores of the experimental group were statistically higher than those of the control group. However, the effects of role play activities differed across honorific speech types. Specifically, there were statistically significant differences in the post-test scores in subject- and object-honorific expressions. However, there was no significant difference in the post-test scores in hearer-honorific expressions. In summary, the results of the study suggested that post-storybook reading role play activities are effective for young children`s honorific speech learning.
