    This research aims to explore the relationship between collective identity, social network centrality, employees' issue leadership and performance. Specifically, three approaches were taken. Firstly, collective identity, which is closely related to formation of social relationship and is one of its individual characteristics, is researched to understand whether it has positive relationship as an antecedent to the network centrality. Secondly, the network centrality's influence on the employee's issue leadership (not the formal leaders in leadership roles in the organization), in three areas, issue creating, audience involving, and issue implementation were reviewed. Thirdly, a research aims to show the relationship network centrality and issue leadership on the performance variables such as job performance, innovative behaviors, and leadership recognition.
    From research standpoint, the collective identity's influence on network centrality showed that it was not significant, however it is predicted that should the sample size be larger, it is expected to show higher probability of a positive relationship. The network centrality showed positive relationship with issue creating and audience involvement. Positive relationship were also evident in performance results, between i) network centrality and issue leadership's issue creating and audience involvement; ii) innovative behavior and issue creating and issue implementation; and, iii) leadership recognition and issue implementation. Furthermore, issue creating and audience involvement were mediators between network centrality and job performance. The implications on the academic literature and managerial practices are also discussed.
