어머니의 특성불안과 과보호, 청소년의 행동억제가 청소년의 사회불안에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Mothers’ Trait Anxiety, Overprotection and Adolescents’ Behavioral Inhibition on Adolescents’ Social Anxiety

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어머니의 특성불안과 과보호, 그리고 청소년의 행동억제가 청소년의 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구는 충북에 위치한 3개의 중학교에 재학 중인 1-3학년 학생과 그들의 어머니 292쌍을 대상으로 특성불안 척도, 청소년이 지각한 어머니의 과보호 척도, 사회불안 척도, 행동억제체계 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 특성불안, 어머니의 과보호, 청소년의 행동억제는 청소년의 사회불안과 각각 정적인 상관관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 사회불안을 유의하게 설명하는 변인은 어머니 변인만을 넣었을 때는 어머니의 과보호였고 모든 변인을 고려했을 때 청소년의 행동억제였다. 이와 같이 본 연구에서는 어머니의 특성불안과 청소년이 지각한 어머니의 과보호, 청소년의 행동억제의 영향과 각 변인간의 상호작용이 청소년의 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고 그 중 청소년의 행동억제가 청소년의 사회불안에 가장 큰 설명력을 가짐을 규명하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of mothers’ trait anxiety, mothers’ overprotection, adolescents’ behavioral inhibition on adolescents’ social anxiety. The subjects of this study were 292 pairs of middle school students and their mothers who resided in Chungbuk Province in South Korea. Correlation and hierarchical regression analyses were performed using the SPSS 23.0 software. Results of this study were as follows. First, adolescents’ social anxiety is positively correlated with mothers’ trait anxiety, mothers’ overprotection perceived by adolescents, and adolescents’ behavioral inhibition. Second, when variables only related to mothers were entered in the model, mothers’ overprotection significantly influenced adolescents’ social anxiety, and when all variables were entered in the model, adolescents’ behavioral inhibition was the only variable that significantly influenced adolescents’ social anxiety. These results showed that adolescents’ behavioral inhibition was most significantly related to adolescents’ social anxiety
