아동이 지각한 부모갈등과 사회불안의 관계에서 스트레스 대처능력의 매개효과 = Mediating Effects of Stress Coping Strategies on Relationships between Parental Conflicts Perceived by Children and Children`s Social Anxiety

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of stress coping strategies on the relationships between parental conflicts perceived by children and children`s social anxiety. The subjects were 463 children(male 237, female 226) of 5th or 6th graders in Seoul. They were assessed by the Children`s Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale, the Children`s Stress Coping Behaviors Scale and the Korean Social Anxiety Scale for Children and Adolescents. The results were as follows: First, parental conflicts perceived by children had a significant effect on children`s social anxiety. Second, active, passive/avoidant and aggressive coping strategies had significant effects on children`s social anxiety. Finally, passive/avoidant and aggressive coping strategies mediated the relationships between parental conflicts perceived by children and children`s social anxiety. This study confirmed the mediating effects of stress coping strategies on the relationships between parental conflicts perceived by children and children`s social anxiety.
