The gole of this study is to extend stress of child and stress coping behaviors conflict by parental conflict. The Following research questions were explored for the purpose of this research
1. Are there any differences children's stress according to parental conflict?
2. Are there any difference children's stress coping behaviors according to parental conflict?
3. Are there any difference children's stress coping behaviors according to children's stress?
In the course of this study, 448 elementary school children between grade four and five live in seoul, Inchon province were included.
As measurement instrument, The children's perception of parental conflict ; CPIC which translation in korean by Kwon young oak and Lee jung duk(1996) for measuring the children's perception of parental conflict was used. Stress of child which Han mee hyun and Yoo an jin used in their research 1998 for measuring of child was used.
Stress coping behaviors questionnaire which Han mee hyun and Yoo an jin 1999 used in their research 1999 for measuring Stress coping behaviors was used. Depending on the research question, data collected was analyzed using Frequency analysis, t-test.
Result of this study are as follows.
First, The more children of high parental conflict level group perceive the higher stress was.
Second, there are any difference children's stress coping behaviors according to parental conflict. Especially the children of high parental conflict level group use more aggressive coping behaviors.
Lastly, There are not significant difference children's stress coping behaviors according to children's stress level.
