상담자 발달수준 및 역전이 활용과 상담성과 = The Effects of Counselor Development Level and Countetransference Utilization Ability on Counseling Outcome

This study was to investigate the influence of counselor development level and countertransference utilization on the counseling outcome. For the study, the survey questionnaires were given to the 185 counselors and the clients aged older than or the same as old as high school students who had at least five counseling sessions. Only 160 cases of them were statistically analyzed. The counselors were given demographic questions, counselor's development level questions, countertransference utilization questions, and the counseling outcome questions. The clients were given demographic questions and the counseling outcome questions. Data were analyzed through statistical techniques of correlation analysis and structural equation modeling The outcomes of the research are as follows; (1) Counselor development level increased countertransference utilization ability. (2) Countertransference utilization ability increased the counseling outcome assessed by the counselors. (3) For intermediate counselors regarding experiences, countertransference utilization was more related to the counseling outcome than for other level counselors. (4) Countertransference utilization ability mediated the relationship between counselor's development level and the counseling outcome. These results implied that countertransference utilization had a positive effect on the counseling outcome. Thus, this study suggested that counselors needed to use countertransference actively, and the use of countertransference utilization should be included in counselor's education.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 상담자 발달수준과 역전이 활용이 상담성과에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 고등학생 이상의 내담자를 대상으로 5회 이상 진행된 상담 사례의 상담자와 내담자 각 185명에게 질문지가 주어졌으며 이중 160명의 응답이 분석되었다. 상담자들은 인구학적 문항, 상담자 발달수준 척도, 역전이 활용 척도, 상담성과 척도로 구성된 질문지에 응답하였다. 내담자들은 인구학적 문항과 상담성과 척도로 구성된 질문지에 응답하였다. 수집된 자료 분석은 상관분석, 구조방정식의 통계 방법을 통해 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 상담자 발달수준이 증가함에 따라 역전이 활용 능력이 증가하였다. (2) 역전이 활용 능력이 증가할수록 상담자가 평가한 상담성과도 증가하였다. (3) 상담자 경력과 관련하여 중급 이상의 상담자들의 경우, 역전이 활용 능력과 상담성과와의 관계가 크게 나타났다. (4) 역전이 활용 능력은 상담자 발달수준이 상담성과에 미치는 영향을 매개하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 상담자의 역전이 활용이 상담성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 따라서 상담자가 역전이를 적극적으로 활용할 필요와 함께 역전이 활용이 상담자 교육과정에 포함될 필요가 있음을 제안하고 있다.
