내담자의 애착 유형과 상담자의 발달 수준이 작업동맹에 미치는 영향 = (The) effect of client's attachment styles and counselor's developmental level on working alliance in counseling

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 내담자의 애착 유형과 상담자의 발달 수준이 상담에서 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹과 어떠한 관련이 있는지를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저, 내담자의 애착 유형이 작업동맹을 형성하는데 영향을 미친다는 기존의 연구를 경험적으로 재검증하고자 하였다. 이와 더불어 상담자의 발달 수준에 따라 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹이 어떻게 달라지는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 마지막으로, 내담자의 애착 유형과 상담자의 발달 수준간의 상호작용 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다.
각기 38명의 상담자-내담자 쌍으로부터 나온 38개의 상담회기들이 수집되어 분석되었다. 상담자들은 3회기 혹은 4회기의 상담이 끝난 후 상담자의 경력과 관한 연구질문들과 상담자 발달 수준 질문지에 답하였다. 내담자들 역시 성인애착 유형질문지와 작업동맹질문지를 작성하였다.
연구결과, 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹은 상담자의 경력 요인인 학력, 상당관련 자격, 상담년수와 작업동맹간에 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 상담자의 발달 수준에 따라서는 차이가 나는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 즉, 상담자의 발달수준이 높을수록 내담자들은 작업동맹을 더 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째로 내담자의 애착유형과 작업동맹과의 관계와 관련해서는 내담자의 의존 애착 및 친밀 애착 유형은 작업동맹과 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 불안 애착 유형의 경우에는 작업동맹과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 내담자의 불안 애착 수준이 높을수록 작업동맹은 더 낮아졌다. 특히, 내담자의 불안 애착 수준이 낮을 때 상담자의 발달 수준에 관계없이 작업동맹의 높은 수준을 유지하였으나, 내담자의 불안 애착 수준이 높을 때 상담자의 발달 수준에 따라 작업동맹 수준이 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 관계에서 불안을 경험하는 경향이 높을 경우 상담자의 능숙한 대처가 작업동맹 형성에 중요한 관련이 있음을 시사하는 것으로 여겨진다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of attachment type and developmental level on working alliance. Frist of all, the previous research that client's attachment type have an influence on forming attachment type was resubstantiate empirically. Moreover, after investigating previous discrepant results about relationship between counselor's professional characteristics and working alliance by examining correlations among counselor's academic degree, the level of counseling certificate, the number of years of personal counseling experience and working alliance, effects of developmental level on working alliance was examined.
38 counselors above the third semester of master's degree and 38 clients above undergraduate were participated in this study. Just after the third or fourth session, counselors completed developmental level questionnaire, and clients completed adult attachment type questionnaire and working alliance questionnaire.
The results of this study are as follows: First, counselor's professional characteristics, that is counselor's academic degree, the level of counseling certificate, the number of years of personal counseling experience have no relationship to working alliance. But the higher client's developmental level is, the better working alliance is Secondly, dependent attachment level and close attachment level among client's attachment types have no relationship to working alliance, and lower anxious attachment level is, the better working alliance is. Especially, clients with lower anxiety attachment level among attachment types form working alliance well regardless of counselor's developmental level, clients with higher anxiety attachment level among attachment types form working alliance well in the counsel with counselor's higher developmental level.
