“선행연구 검토(Literature Review)” 장르의 내용 구조에 관한 연구 -한국어교육 박사학위 논문을 중심으로- = A Study on the Content Structure of < Literature Review > Genre in the Doctoral Dissertation on Korean Language Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research is to analyze the content structure of < Literature Review >. < Literature Review > is a very important sub-genre of thesis or doctorial dissertation but little attention has been paid to. Thus, this study analyzed < Literature Review > genres from fifteen samples of doctoral dissertation in the field of Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language. As a result, the content structure of < Literature Review > is classified into four categories; establishing the background knowledge of the study-related theme, summarizing and criticizing previous studies, indicating the gap and announcing the territory of the present study. Establishing the background knowledge of the study-related theme includes classifying the study-related theme, introducing the study-related theme and research studies, introducing the study-related trend, presenting the number of research studies and stating the centrality of the theme. Second, the summary of previous studies has seven strategies presenting the problems, the themes, the definitions, the subjects, the methods, the results and the discussions. A critique of previous studies consist of four strategies; evaluating positively or negatively, presenting the writer`s interpretation, synthesizing and organizing and presenting the relevance. Third, indicating the gap. Finally, announcing the territory of the present study can be divided into announcing the aim, the design and process, the definition, the difference and significance. The result of this research will help learners and teachers to write and teach Korean thesis or dissertation respectively in more efficient manner as the basis of educational development in KAP.
