병사의 무망감, 스트레스, 우울과의 관계 = The Relationship between Soldiers` Hopelessness, Stress and Depression

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among hopelessness, stress and depression in soldiers`. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, difference of hopelessness, stress and depression due to general character of has no difference with branch and age, but has significant difference with the other characters. Soldiers that is ranked in corporal have less stress and depression, compared with other ranks. In the period of service, soldiers who have less than 18 months show less stress and depression, compared with recruits who have less than 6 months. Second, the correlation among hopelessness, stress and depression has meaningful correlation with all the subordinate variable factors(p<.05, p<.01); in particular, stress and depression showed the highest correlation among those factors. Third, as factors that affect the depression, general factors of soldiers` did not show any influence. However, subordinate factors of the depression and stress including duty stress, job stress, relationship stress and external stress showed an influence. Base on these findings, this study presents political agreement that a long-term alternative has to be made for soldiers` mental health and practical agreement that preventive efforts are needed to prevent soldiers` severe mental health problem such as hopelessness, stress and depression.
