청소년의 자극추구 및 위험회피 기질과 비행성향 간의 관계에서 자아개념의 조절효과 = The moderating effects of self-concept among novelty seeking and harm avoidance temperament and delinquency tendency in adolescence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study attempted to review the moderating effects of a self-concept in the relationship between the novelty seeking temperament and harm avoidance temperament of middle school students and their delinquency tendency. With this aim, questionnaires were distributed to middle schools in the Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and Chung-nam areas aimed at 479 first and second grade boy and girl students and an analysis of the relationship between variables was carried out. As measurement tools, the study used a JTCI scale, delinquency tendency scale, and self-concept scale(SDQ-Ⅱ). The results of the research show that a novelty seeking temperament and a harm avoidance temperament were each significant in forecasting delinquency tendency. In the relationship between a novelty seeking temperament and a delinquency tendency, a self concept and its sub-factors including physical appearance self-concept, general education self-concept, parent relations self-concept, emotional self-concept, and peer relationships self-concept had moderating effects. Also, in the relationship between a ham avoidance temperament and a delinquency tendency, there were moderating effects in a parent relations self-concept and a peer relationships self-concept, which are sub-factors of a self-concept. That is, in the relationship between a novelty seeking temperament, a harm avoidance temperament, and a delinquency tendency, a self-concept was confirmed to have moderating effects in accordance with its sub-factors. Based on these research results, the study proposed a self-concept and an intervention solution in the area of adolescent counseling in accordance with the sub-factors and mentioned the limitations of the study.
