This paper explores the current development and potential advancements of remote fish school detection technology to overcome the limitations of traditional fisheries resource survey methods. Traditional methods face several constraints, and remote echo sounder have emerged as an alternative. These devices detect and monitor fish school distribution and trends in real-time, enabling efficient long-term surveys while saving labor and time. This study analyzes related research conducted both domestically and internationally to assess the technological progress and limitations of remote echo sounder, proposing future development directions based on these findings. The research highlights current technological limits, such as the communication range of remote echo sounder, environmental adaptability, battery life, and the accuracy and reliability of data. It proposes overcoming these limits through the integration of future 5G and next-generation communication technologies, high-efficiency battery systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, enhanced environmental adaptability, and the development of integrated data platforms. This paper contributes to the advancement of marine biological survey methodologies and re-emphasizes the importance of advanced technology in the conservation and efficient utilization of fishery resources.

In the maritime industry, automation and artificial intelligence technology development are actively taking place in the era of the 4<SUP>th</SUP> industrial revolution. One of those results is USV(Unmanned Surface Vehicle) in the marine unmanned research equipment to which such automation and artificial intelligence technology is applied. USV, which are small vessels capable of remote control or autonomous navigation by operating on land or at sea, can be used in the maritime public interest field, maritime defense industry field, marine exploration and underwater observation field.

The species composition and abundance of fishery resources were investigated by gill net, trap net, and long line from May to October in the coastal area of Oenarodo Go-heung, Korea. the collected fishes were 289 individuals of the total, identified into 10 orders, 21 families and 26 species. the total catch included 10 species in the gill net, 20 species in the trap net, and 2 species in the long line. The dominant species were Portunus trituberculatus the gill net, Octopus vulgari in the trap net, and Muraenesox cinereus in the long line. Catch by fishing gear was the highest in long line and was the lowest in gill net. Seasonal catch was the most in May and was the least in October.

There is now a growing global interest in global warming. According to the IPCC 5th report on Climate Change, it is reported that global warming will cause changes in fisherys resources such as fish species and fisheries. As a result, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change reported that greenhouse-gas reduction efforts for the industry as a whole would be needed. In the fisherys section, the issue of the responsible fishing was raised at the Cancun meeting in Mexico. Therefore, Korea decided to reduce the 20% of greenhouse-gas emission by 2030 from the basic roadmap for 2030 national GHG reduction, and by 15.5% in the fisherys sector. Until now, various studies have been carried out to reduce GHG emissions. However, analysis that reflects the characteristics of fishing activities by separating fishing activities into mobility, and operation has not been done so far. Therefore, this study is tried to classify the fishing activity and movement at sea using the field measurement data. These data were used at the life cycle assessment analysis for analyzing the GHG emissions from the specified activities. As a result, it was concluded that the greenhouse-gas emission is the highest from the movement activity. Therefore, the movement activity will be needed to reduce GHG emission. In order to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, it is necessary to introduce an efficient fishery system. Furthermore, it is necessary to reduce the cruising speed from fishing ground to fishing ground for reducing GHG emission from movement activities.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions according to fuel consumption in the littoral sea fishery. The fishing boat in the Korean littoral zone is currently registered at 68.000 vessels, most fishing vessels are almost over 70% got an aged are concentrated between 10-20 years so that its engine efficiency is terribly poor. Fishing environment of hazardous substances and greenhouse gas emissions from the engine is a high situation. In study, it needs to build a database of greenhouse gas emissions by sector, and it will be the corresponding plan for carbon reduction in the fisheries by Tier-1 evaluation on IPCC 2006 Guidelines.

Seasonal variation in catch-per-unit-effort (CPUE), species composition and size frequency distribution of major fish were analyzed by gill net, trap net, and long line in the Korean coastal area of Go-heung in 2016. The dominant fish species were Portunus trituberculatus in gill nets, Charybdis japonica in trap nets and Muraenesox cinereus in long lines. Seasonal catch was the most in July and was the least in March. Catch by fishing gear was the highest in gill net and was the lowest in long line. The dominant species are similar to seasonal biological properties. Species compositions did not vary greatly by season.
강원도 대문어(Enteroctopus dofleini )의 지가리(연승 어업)를 활용한 자원량 추정 연구

This study conducts a resource estimation of the Enteroctopus dofleini in the coastal waters of Gangwon Province, based on actual catch surveys using the jigging (longline) fishing gear. The research analyzes catch data collected from commercial fishing operations to estimate the population of Enteroctopus dofleini in the study area. By integrating data from the catch surveys, the study aims to provide an accurate assessment of the octopus resource in the region. Additionally, the study evaluates the effectiveness of the jigging gear in resource management and its potential for supporting sustainable fisheries practices. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of effective conservation strategies and fisheries management plans for the sustainable preservation of Enteroctopus dofleini populations in Gangwon Province.
