Microstructure Evolution of Inconel 718 Alloy during Ring Rolling Process

        Xing-lin Zhu,Dong Liu,Li-juan Xing,Yang Hu,Yan-hui Yang 한국정밀공학회 2016 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.17 No.6

Microstructure determines the comprehensive mechanical properties and service life of ring parts. In this study, ring rolling process is considered as a multi-pass process which is parted into four phases, and the microstructure evolution model is then established based on the characteristics of this multi-pass process by combining with a 3D coupled thermo-mechanical FE model. By contrasting with experiment results, the microstructure evolution model is actually proven can be competently applied to predict the microstructure of the formed ring. Also through comprehensive analysis on distribution of recrystallization fractions based on the microstructure evolution model, conclusions can be summarized as following. (1) It is inaccurate to predict the microstructure by regarding the ring rolling as a single-pass deformation. The ring rolling process should be parted into different phases, and for each phase, the singlepass microstructure evolution model is adapted. (2) Different with single-pass deformation, due to the high temperature dwelling phase during ring rolling process, meta-dynamic recrystallization (MDR) is another important grain refinement mechanism besides dynamic recrystallization (DR). (3) MDR has different distribution trends with DR, which is benefit not only for grains refinement but also for microstructure uniformity. (4) Rolling penetration is obviously improved with feed rate increases, whereas, unduly high feed rate leads to recrystallization fraction decrease in outer layer area, which is adverse to microstructure uniformity.

Broadband low-frequency sound absorption by periodic metamaterial resonators embedded in a porous layer

Zhu, Xing-Feng,Lau, Siu-Kit,Lu, Zhenbo,Jeon, Wonju Academic Press 2019 Journal of Sound and Vibration Vol.461 No.-

Abstract

Broadband absorption of the audible sound wave at low frequency has been achieved by using periodic acoustic metamaterial resonators (AMRs) embedded inside a porous layer. A single AMR embedded in a porous layer could reach perfect absorption (PA) at the resonance frequency, and it can be easily tuned by adjusting the inner radius of AMR. With four AMRs in the porous layer, a high absorption (>80%) is obtained in the frequency range from 180 Hz to 550 Hz, while the thickness of the porous layer is only 1 / 10 of the relevant wavelength at 300 Hz. The broadband and high absorption performances are due to the interferences of the low-frequency resonances of the AMRs and the energy trapping between the AMRs and the rigid backings. The finite element simulations are experimentally validated. Moreover, the broadband low-frequency absorption is robust under various oblique incidence even at large incident angles. The effects of the acoustic parameters of the porous layer on the absorption properties are also discussed. The absorbers should have high potential for the practical applications in buildings, aircrafts and automobiles due to their ease of fabrication, ultra-thin, and robust high-efficiency.

      • Reversion of Multidrug Resistance by SKI-II in SGC7901/DDP Cells and Exploration of Underlying Mechanisms

Zhu, Zu-An,Zhu, Zheng-Qiu,Cai, Hong-Xing,Liu, Ying Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.2

In order to investigate whether SKI-II could reverse drug resistance and its possible mechanisms, we treated SGC7901/DDP cells with SKI-II or SKI-II in combination with DDP. Then cell growth, apoptosis, micromorphological changes, and expression of SphK1, P-gp, NF-${\kappa}B$, Bcl-2 and Bax were assessed by MTT assay, flow cytometry, electron microscopy, immunocytochemistry and Western blot assay respectively. SGC7901/DDP cells were insensitive to cisplatin 2.5mg/L, but when pretreated with SKI-II, their proliferation was inhibited by cisplatin 2.5mg/L significantly, the inhibition rate increasing with time and dose. The apoptosis rate was also significantly elevated. Expression of SphK1 and P-gp was decreased significantly, Pearson correlation analysis showing significant correlation between the two (r=0.595, P<0.01). Expression of NF-${\kappa}B$ and Bcl-2 was decreased significantly, while that of Bax was increased, compared to the control group. There were significant correlations between SphK1 and NF-${\kappa}B$(r=0.723, P<0.01), NF-${\kappa}B$ and Bcl-2(r=0.768, P<0.01). All these data indicated that SKI-II could reverse drug resistance of SGC7901/DDP to cisplatin by down-regulating expression of P-gp and up-regulating apoptosis through down-regulation of SphK1. The increased apoptotic sensitivity of SGC7901/DDP to cisplatin was due to the decreasing proportion of Bcl-2/Bax via down-regulating NF-${\kappa}B$.

      • Network Information Security Situation Assessment Based on Bayesian Network

Wang Xing-zhu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.10 No.5

The situation of information security is difficult to be precise, autonomous and controllable. In this situation, the situation of the system is based on Fuzzy Dynamic Bayesian network. The model of situation awareness and situation estimation is constructed. The simulation results are compared with that of static Bayesian network model. The experimental results show that this method can better reflect the dynamic changes of network space operations.

      • Network Intrusion Prediction Model based on RBF Features Classification

Wang Xing-zhu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.10 No.4

According to the relationship between feature subset and parameters of RBF neural network, in order to improve the intrusion detection accuracy, it proposed an improved particle swarm optimization neural network of network intrusion detection model. Network feature subset and parameters of RBF neural network were regarded as a particle, through collaboration and information exchange between particles to find the optimal feature subset and parameters of RBF neural network, so as to establish the optimal network intrusion detection model, and using KDD Cup 99 data sets to carry out simulation experiment. The simulation results showed that, IPSO-RBF neural network reduced the feature dimensions, and the better parameters of RBF neural network was obtained then, which is a kind of network intrusion detection model with high detection accuracy and high speed.

      • Staged Improvement in Awareness of Disease for Elderly Cancer Patients in Southern China

        Li, Xing,Dong, Min,Wen, Jing-Yun,Wei, Li,Ma, Xiao-Kun,Xing, Yan-Fang,Deng, Yun,Chen, Zhan-Hong,Chen, Jie,Ruan, Dan-Yun,Lin, Ze-Xiao,Wang, Tian-Tian,Wu, Dong-Hao,Liu, Xu,Hu, Hai-Tao,Lin, Jia-Yu,Li, Zhu Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.15

Background: In mainland China, awareness of disease of elderly cancer patients largely relies on the patients' families. We developed a staged procedure to improve their awareness of disease. Materials and Methods: Participants were 224 elderly cancer patients from 9 leading hospitals across Southern China. A questionnaire was given to the oncologists in charge of each patient to evaluate the interaction between family and patients, patient awareness of their disease and participation in medical decision-making. After first cycles of treatment, increased information of disease was given to patients with cooperation of the family. Then patient awareness of their disease and participation in medical decision-making was documented. Results: Among the 224 cancer elderly patients, 26 (11.6%) made decisions by themselves and 125 (55.8%) delegated their rights of decision-making to their family. Subordinate family members tended to play a passive role in decision-making significantly. Patients participating more in medical decision-making tended to know more about their disease. However, in contrast to the awareness of disease, patient awareness of violation of medical recommendations was reversely associated with their participation in medical decision-making. Improvement in awareness of diagnosis, stages and prognosis was achieved in about 20% elderly cancer patients. About 5% participated more actively in medical decision-making. Conclusions: Chinese elderly cancer patient awareness of disease and participation in medical decision-making is limited and relies on their family status. The staged procedure we developed to improve patient awareness of disease proved effective.

Purpose: : To assess the clinic value of application of laparospic ultrasonography (LU) in partial nephrectomy of small renal cell carcinoma. Materials and Methods: From 2007 to 2011, 28 small renal cell carcinoma patients in ou clinic underwent laparoscopic partial nephrectomy with LU. For comparison with preoperative conventional ultrasound and CT, we collected ultrasonic performance of the affected side kidney, renal tumor location, size, echo change, blood supply situation and the relationship with the surrounding tissue. Results: LU could more clearly show the tumor interior structure and blood supply, as well as the relationship with the surrounding tissue. It also can provided doctor assistance with real-time tumor resection, reducing operative complications. Conclusions: LU can clearly show tumor internal structure and blood supply, which is helpful for explicit diagnosis. Moreover, it supplies accurate information for surgeons and assists surgery. Therefore LU has an important guiding value in partial nephrectomy for small renal cell carcinoma.
