Polskie czasowniki wnioskowania – stan badań, hipotezy i perspektywy

        Tomasz Nowak 한국슬라브어학회 2012 슬라브어연구 Vol.17 No.1

This work is intended by the author's part and also the prelude to a larger whole. Of concern in the article is the class of predicates inference, in particular a substantial part of it, namely verbs of inference – from the most representative for the whole of this class expression: [a] wywnioskował z [czegośp], że [q]. Inference predicates interest me primarily because of its importance: systemic (potential), synchronous (real) and local (Polish). Goal that I set myself (in the near term), is reduced to the reconstruction of the semantic representation of selected expressions (representatives of the class in question), and more precisely to formulate their dictionary definitions (lexicographical portraits) in terms of semantic components (as necessary conditions separately and jointly sufficient) The method by which I reach, meaning interesting question on my unit, part of a program of structuralist and refers to two more specific concepts: reducing component semantics and natural semantic metalanguage. Of course, this paper will confine itself to outline the general characteristics (pan) of that class and formulate a series of initial hypotheses, which deals with the verification of some time in the cycle of works devoted to particular verbs inference.

Long-Term Management of Seizures after Surgical Treatment of Supratentorial Cavernous Malformations : A Retrospective Single Centre Study

Dziedzic, Tomasz A.,Koczyk, Kacper,Nowak, Arkadiusz,Maj, Edyta,Marchel, Andrzej The Korean Neurosurgical Society 2022 Journal of Korean neurosurgical society Vol.65 No.3

Objective : Seizure recurrence after the first-ever seizure in patients with a supratentorial cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM) is almost certain, so the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy is justified. The optimal method of management of these patients is still a matter of debate. The aim of our study was to identify factors associated with postoperative seizure control and assess the surgical morbidity rate. Methods : We retrospectively analysed 45 consecutive patients with a supratentorial CCM and symptomatic epilepsy in a single centre. Pre- and postoperative epidemiological data, seizure-related patient histories, neuroimaging results, surgery details and outcomes were obtained from hospital medical records. Seizure outcomes were assessed at least 12 months after surgery. Results : Thirty-five patients (77.8%) were seizure free at the long-term follow-up (Engel class I); six (13,3%) had rare, nocturnal seizures (Engel class II); and four (8.9%) showed meaningful improvement (Engel class III). In 15 patients (33%) in the Engel I group; it was possible to discontinue antiepileptic medication. Although there was not statistical significance, our results suggest that patients can benefit from early surgery. No deaths occurred in our study, and mild postoperative neurologic deficits were observed in two patients (4%) at the long-term follow-up. Conclusion : Surgical resection of CCMs should be considered in all patients with a supratentorial malformation and epilepsy due to the favourable surgical results in terms of the epileptic seizure control rate and low postoperative morbidity risk, despite the use of different predictors for the seizure outcome.

Analysis of swine leukocyte antigen class I gene profiles and porcine endogenous retrovirus viremia level in a transgenic porcine herd inbred for xenotransplantation research

        Daria Matczyńska,Daniel Sypniewski,Sabina Gałka,Dagna Sołtysik,Tomasz Loch,Ewa Nowak,Zdzisław Smorąg,Ilona Bednarek 대한수의학회 2018 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.19 No.3

Molecular characterization of swine leukocyte antigen (SLA) genes is important for elucidating the immune responses between swine-donor and human-recipient in xenotransplantation. Examination of associations between alleles of SLA class I genes, type of pig genetic modification, porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) viral titer, and PERV subtypes may shed light on the nature of xenograft acceptance or rejection and the safety of xenotransplantation. No significant difference in PERV gag RNA level between transgenic and non-transgenic pigs was noted; likewise, the type of applied transgene had no impact on PERV viremia. SLA-1 gene profile type may correspond with PERV level in blood and thereby influence infectiveness. Screening of pigs should provide selection of animals with low PERV expression and exclusion of specimens with PERV-C in the genome due to possible recombination between A and C subtypes, which may lead to autoinfection. Presence of PERV-C integrated in the genome was detected in 31.25% of specimens, but statistically significant increased viremia in specimens with PERV-C was not observed. There is a need for multidirectional molecular characterization (SLA typing, viremia estimation, and PERV subtype screening) of animals intended for xenotransplantation research in the interest of xeno-recipient safety.
